But with danger and betrayal around every corner, it will take going back to his beginning to understand who he is and how he can change the war looming on the horizon.
Joshua King is a Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy writer that loves a killer story mixed with a few ongoing fantasies. Strong gorgeous women, super evil villains, precarious situations, and a normal dude that gets transformed into making it happen are all part of the fun.
When not writing, he's watching movies, traveling the US with his wife and son, or paying homage to the God of War. He's hoping to entertain you and give you a few minutes of heart-racing fun or mind-bending mystery in the various worlds he's created or the ones he plans to create.
It's about on the level of the first. There's just one glaring problem. The motivations and plans of some characters make almost zero sense. They're childish not well thought out and often times more destructive than anything. With far easier solutions being available yet not taken.
Hayden was almost blown up! Was Malakan killed in the explosion and fire? Or wasn't he? It was nice to go back to the girls for commiseration, analysis, and relaxation (sort of). He wants to find the secret of his early childhood and uncovers some big surprises. I look forward to the next book.
This is book 2 and I was hooked at book 1. The characters draw you in an the action and plot are gripping. The story is well written and it pulls you along from the first page to the last. I’m looking forward to the next one.
followed on from book 2 and expanded more of the history nicely, set the scene for book 3 really well and hopefully there wont be a massive wait for that either :)
If you like vampires &warlocks...this is the series to read! It kept me interested thru a reconstructive surgery, hospital stay & two revisions of my PICC line.😁
