A history of Columbia studios. It starts off well, but the author's heart seems to more in the pre-war era. At first it's the highlights by decade, but by the 40s the chapters are about stars, musicals, Oscars, B-movies so the chapters seems somewhat less organized. There are lists of films with credits, but only for the select few discussed.
