Set on the beautiful island of Trinidad, The Axe Murderer: Barry Homes Investigates is the second book in this collection of short, suspenseful stories.
I like the way the author takes the reader on a thrilling journey to solve a string of murders plaguing this small community. Barry Holmes is meticulous in his investigation and leaves nothing to chance, but he was shaken when it appears he could be dealing with not one but two murderers. Holmes was undaunted and vows not to rest until he finds his man or men. Very enjoyable read written in the author’s humorous style.

This is a quick, easy to read short story about kidnap and murder. This mystery has a relaxed writing style and a tone that demonstrates the fragile states of the human mind.

I don't give spoilers but will say that it's a satisfying read for those who enjoy this genre...there is also a bonus read at the end.

Worth a look.

Great murder mystery book

I found this murder mystery highly interesting and this isn't my normal genre to read. The narrative was highly intriguing and the ending a surprise. Included is a short story that I've already read and reviewed, and a full listing of the author's books with blurbs. Something for everyone.

Fast-paced thriller...

Quickly paced short story about an axe murderer and the detectives trying to apprehend him. Interesting characters and plot, although a bit short. With more plot and character development it may have been a five star read...
