Rate this book
Sometimes, going back to the beginning is the only answer. Paradise Key Resort holds the best and the worst of Sofía Vargas’s adolescent memories of love and heartbreak. Now, she hopes to wipe the slate clean and boost her career from resort manager to owner by winning a quirky town contest. But when an old flame throws his hat into the ring, Sofía realizes that protecting her heart will be the biggest challenge. Nathan Patrick Hamilton III has played the part of the good son all his life with one exception—indulging in a secret on again-off again relationship with Sofia in high school and college, knowing that family duty would eventually tear them apart. Years later, Nathan feels like he finally has a chance to win back the girl of his dreams and right the way he wronged her. But Sofía doesn’t trust or forgive easily and it’s going to take more than kooky town hall meetings, an emergency trip back to Key West, stolen kisses and a re-creation of their first date, for him to even be in the running. This is the third story in the Paradise Key series but they can each be read as a standalone . . . . All the stories feature young women who met whilst spent their summers in Paradise Key as teenagers and have kept in touch as best friends ever since. There were five of them but one of them, Lily, has tragically died. The remaining four meet up again whilst attending her funeral and each story focusses on one of the friends - in this case it is Sofia Vargas who has the starring role.

Sofia spent many summer holidays working at the Holiday resort where her beloved Aunt and Uncle also worked. It was there she met resort owners’ son, Nathan Patrick Hamilton III who was also working there - some of the time, any way! The two had a long lasting, relationship which she ended when learning he was getting engaged to someone else. Now that resort is somewhat derelict and is up for sale - and Sofia dreams of owning and running it. However, the rival bidder is Nathan! As the two meet again, will love finally find a way to bring these two back together again?

Trust, family and illness all have key roles in this lovely second chance romance. There are dramatic dashes, happy memories, new opportunities and family secrets in this page turner romance. It is a great addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed escaping again to Paradise Key in this delightful romance.

I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

For Sofía Paradise Key always felt like home. She spent many happy summers with her favorite aunt and found her best friends on the island. Sofía dreams of making Paradise Key her permanent home. The local resort, a place that only holds special memories, is for sale. It needs plenty of work, but Sofía has a clear vision of what it should be turned into and would be the ideal new owner. However, she isn't the only one bidding on the resort. Nathan, the man she used to love, is after it as well. He's acting in his father's name and the resort will be one of many businesses the company owns, while Sofía is looking for a more personal approach. Who will win the bid?

Nathan has always done exactly what his father told him. This didn't lead to appreciation though and the only result is that Nathan lost the love of his life and works for a father who doesn't give him any credits for his ideas. When he meets Sofía after not seeing her for a long time, because he accepted the woman his father chose for him instead, Nathan realizes he made the biggest mistake of his life. He's determined to win Sofía back and doesn't want to mess up again. He broke Sofía's heart once already, is she willing to give him another chance while Nathan's father still calls the shots in a lot of areas of his life?

Resort to Love is a fantastic romantic story. Sofía is a smart and capable woman. Family means everything to her and she has a big heart. She's always there for her loved ones and everyone likes her. I loved her warm personality. Nathan is a gentle man. He loves Sofía deeply, but doesn't know how to say no to his father. I kept hoping he'd find a way to stand up for himself. Sofía is clearly a lot better at making her own choices and she knows what she wants in life. In the short time she lets Nathan into her world again he learns a lot from her and I absolutely loved watching him grow. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough to discover if he'd be able to convince his soul mate to give him another chance.

Priscilla Oliveras has a wonderful feelgood writing style. She describes emotions with passion, empathy and understanding. I loved how she makes her main characters interact with each other. Her descriptions of their feelings are both accurate and fascinating and they kept me glued to the pages. She combines a fabulous love story with a stunning well loved setting. I could easily picture why people would want to stay in Paradise Key. Resort to Love is a captivating, sparkling love story. I highly recommend this amazing book.

The Paradise Key series tells the stories of 4 friends, their friendships, first loves and romances. This is Sophia's story. When Sophia was a teenager, she spent summers on Paradise Key with her aunt. She worked at the Paradise Key Resort and fell in love with the owner's son. Over the years, the resort changed hands a few times and was now up for sale. Sophia wants to buy and renovate it, but finds out there is another bidder, Nathan Patrick Hamilton III, her previous romantic interest. Things had gone bad between them, but the feelings toward each other is still there. Can they trust each other and rekindle that romance that began when they were teenagers?

This is a sweet romance. It was a bit predictable, but there were elements of the story that added interest and kept me turning the pages quickly. I knew they would end up reconciling, but the road to that was bumpy. Sophia is a wonderful character. She has a lot of friends and people she considers family. There were some tense moments, some worrisome situations and some triumphant ones as both Sophia and Nate finally take the plunge to go after what they really want in life. A perfect story for February, the month of romance.

This was a cute closed door romance. Glad the past payoff offer didn't devolve into drama, because that's often what happens. I could have done with less mentions of how important family is, but that's my problem.

Good book if you're in the mood for a low stakes romance.

3.5 stars. Loved the tropical setting, the bid to renovate a deserted resort, and the second chance romance. Sweet with good tension, fade to black (which surprised me)! Loved the Spanish dialogue included throughout, the Puerto Rican culture, and Paul — memorable supporting character.

The book opens with the loss of Sofia’s best friend and I wish there had been more about this grief and time with her other best friends that included more dialogue...

Can’t wait to read more by this author!

Resort to Love is a second chance romance between Nate and Sof, who were friends with benefits for years but decided to call it off. Now they meet again in circumstances that are affecting both of their lives. The first thing I have to say is that if you're in the Northern Hemisphere, you NEED to read this book during the summer. It has the perfect atmosphere to make you feel like you're in a paradise in this small town. Priscilla Oliveras is incredible at descriptions and here you're transported to wherever she wants you to go.

3.5 Stars for Found Family in a Closed-Door Romance

Fans of Alexis Daria’s Primas of Power series will love this one. It had a super specific sense of place that made you almost smell the ocean.

Unfortunately, closed-door romances always make me feel like I’m missing out on a huge chunk of what makes a couple click. I also cannot get over him presenting a business proposal in her name without her prior approval.

✔️ Dual POVs (Nate x Sofia)
✔️ Set in Key West, Florida
✔️ Closed-door contemporary romance (1.5/5🌶️)
✔️ Tropes: Second chance romance; found family

Both trying to protect their hearts, they agreed to a “no strings” relationship after spending each summer in Paradise Key at the quaint resort. Family expectations from his rich family smashed their chance at more. Now, they are both back and both want to buy the old resort. Priscilla Oliveras is an author I’ve meant to try for a long time and was glad to finally do so with Resort to Love. Her romances always have that vibrant, culturally-rich tone and the romance characters are the types that draw one in.

Resort to Love is part of the Paradise Key quartet of standalone romances told by four different authors and involving four childhood friends who make their way back to Paradise Key as adult women and ready for their own romances.

Resort to Love features Latina hospitality manager, Sofia Vargas returning from Key West to join her three surviving best friends in mourning for one of their own who died too soon. She spots the old resort her aunt worked at and where she spent many memorable summers with her friends and a boy who was her first love before his decision turn his back and follow his father’s dictates for his life shattered what they had. The resort has sustained hurricane damage and needs fixing up, but that makes it a possibility for even her when she spots the ‘for sale’ sign.
Only trouble is, that first love she’s tried to put behind her is now all grown up, too, and he’s also back in town and interested in the resort on behalf of his big business family. So much is tangled up and hurting between them.

Resort for Love was a tender second chance romance. It was obvious Sofia was still not over Nathan and had tried to protect her vulnerable love in the past by pretending it was just a temporary thing and no big deal. Nathan’s deep regret was also obvious as was the pain of giving up on his dreams and ideas and his love for Sofia all to please a man who didn’t care and simply pushed for more of his own way. I was cheering Nathan on to break away and live his own life and for Sofia to extend some trust and give him a second chance.

Loved the Florida Keys’ small-town setting, the four friends, Sofia’s Puerta Rican heritage, and the hospitality industry elements all tucked into Resort for Love in a well-developed fast-read contemporary romance. I got a taste and now I’ll definitely coming back for more of Priscilla Oliveras’ writing. Definitely recommend for a summer romance beach setting.

Paradise Key, Florida, has always had a special place in Sofia's heart. She has spent many summers there with her best friends and relatives, becoming friends with the locals as well. When Paradise Key Resort is up for sale after years of being in derelict condition, Sofia jumps at the chance to revitalize the hotel. The only issue is that her ex-lover and ex-best friend, Nathan, is bidding on the property as well. Things ended badly between them when his narcissistic dad forced Nathan to choose between family or Sofia, and they haven't talked since. They are reunited on Paradise Key and feelings resurface, but Sofia is cautious of being around Nathan again.

This is the third book in the Paradise Key series. What sets this series apart is that each book is written by a different author. After reading another romance last month, Anchored Hearts, from the same author and not enjoying it, I decided to give her another shot with this book because I love reading about Latinx culture. Unfortunately, this book felt flat to me also, and I didn't feel much chemistry between Nathan and Sofia. There was a lot of brooding on Sofia's end, and begging on Nathan's end. I didn't feel a spark and their romance felt lukewarm. I only kept reading because it was a short book at around 140 pages.

I liked the strong heroine, Sofia, who is determined to follow her dream and buy the resort she worked at as a teenager. It turns out her old lover and love of her life, Nathan is also trying to buy the resort for his family. Lots of good stuff about how they each feel about family and their obligations to each other. I wish the novel would have been a little longer to develop their backstory a little more...but that's a pretty minor quibble. The plot hangs a lot on conflicts that could be resolved if they would only talk to each other, but it seems believable considering their respective situations.

Priscilla Oliveras is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I’ve read the first two books in her Matched to Perfection trilogy (and am eagerly awaiting the third!), so I was very excited when the ever amazing Sil tweeted that she had a new book coming out. Resort to Love is the third of four books in the Paradise Keys series, each written by a different author, and I initially read it as a stand-alone – though I immediately went back and requested the other three books afterwards! The main character, Sofía, goes to the beach when she needs to energize and reset, and Ms. Oliveras’ books do the same for me. They’re wonderful comfort reads, mildly angsty but still sweet and adorable. One of my favorite things about all her books is how family-centered they are. To an extent, they’ve all been about how your relationships with your family can help or hinder you.

Sofía and Nate originally met as teenagers while working at the Paradise Key resort, Sofía as a summer employee and Nate in management. They start dating, and stay together through college, until a choice by Nate torpedoed their chances at anything more. While back in Paradise Key for the funeral of one of her best friends, she decides to place a bid on the abandoned resort. The big problem? There’s another bidder, and it’s Nate, representing his father’s company. With them competing for the resort, is there any way they can have a second chance at love?

“The same way you took the time to guide me when I started my business.” Tía Mili dried her hands on a blue kitchen towel as she skirted the counter to pull out a chair next to Sofía. “El bien viene del bien.”
Good comes from good. One of her tía’s and her mami’s favorite sayings. Handed down from their mami, Sofía’s abuela, in Puerto Rico.”

Sofía worked her way up to be the manager of a trio of B&Bs in Key West, but longs to set off on her own. She’s not blind to the roadblocks placed in her way solely because she’s young, female, and Latina, but she chooses to focus on what she can do to prove those small-minded people wrong rather than dwell on the unfairness of it. Family is everything to Sofía – she gave up several scholarships to out-of-state colleges to stay close to home, helped her tía set up her own cleaning business, and, despite plenty of reason to, never spoke out against Nate’s father. Even during their teen years, Sofía held back from her relationship with Nate, realizing that she’d never be good enough for his family, and she insists on referring to their relationship as noting more than a summer fling. Nate has tried to live up to his business mogul father since he was a child. Even his hard work at developing a line of boutique hotels for his father’s chain has gone unappreciated and unnoticed. He even went along with an engagement to a family friend to please his parents. He’s frustrated, but finds himself unable to stand up to his father.

Sofía’s keeping a big secret from Nate, one that spurred her to not say anything when told her about his future engagement, and the reasoning behind her actions comes from her strong commitment to family. I’m not a terribly big fan of one character in a romance keeping a giant secret from the other, as so often it feels like the character is taking away the other person’s agency or trying to “protect” them as if they’re a child, but I felt like for Sofía to have done anything else would’ve been against her character – even though she believes his father is suffocating him, she would never say a word to turn him against his family.

“Despite the “back-off” vibe her stiff posture exuded, he knew her well enough to tell that something was wrong. If there was one thing he’d never been able to ignore when it came to Sofía Vargas, it was his desire to always look out for her. Put her needs before his. Even if that need was a distance he didn’t want.”

I’m a big fan of the second-chance love trope, and I think Ms. Oliveras knocked the trope out of the park. I thought, as a couple, Sofía and Nate were written so well. They really felt like people who’d known each other well and loved each other for a long time before the book began. It was obvious from their first interaction outside the resort that they both still had deep feelings for each other, and it was an absolute joy watching them learn to trust again.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’d recommend to fans of second-chance romances, and anyone looking for a summery beach read!

We got a hint of Sofia’s plans for the abandoned resort in the earlier stories, and now her plan is coming to life with a few complications. One of those complications is in the form of the man she’d loved since her teens but could never truly have at her side forever. Nate was here, right back where they began and surprisingly, he’s also bidding on the resort that Sofia has her dreams set on. Why would his hotel family want this place back when they’d sold it off in the first place? Well, she’d just have to tighten up her own plans to be sure that she was the one that walked away with the property… and her heart still intact.

In many ways Nate and Sofia’s romance is heartbreaking for what was and for what wasn’t allowed to become. Rich, controlling fathers are usually at the heart of a couple’s troubles and Nate’s father is easily a villain in this piece to loathe. But that’s a secret that Sofia has kept from Nate all these years, how his father treated her… and that desire to not cause Nate any further heartache made Sofia stand a little taller in my feelings for her. She didn’t need to stoop to the old man’s tactics to prove she was the better person. Watching this couple work their way back to each other for real this time around was an enjoyable journey filled with sadness, chuckles, a touch of steam and the feeling that they truly were right for each other. I enjoyed Resort to Love very much. It’s a really good story that answers question for the series and lays out the need for more in the last book.

As I’m enjoying the Paradise Key series I’m noticing something that is touchingly done, and I’m assuming it’s by intent of the authors… but maybe I’m simply reading it into the series. With each story, the character of Lily who was tragically killed by a driver texting and running a stop light is becoming more of her own character within this series. Not just a person loved and missed by her friends, but her essence is there in the stories – and I’m enjoying and appreciative of that feeling. Whether I’m right or wrong… for me, that feeling is making her more real, more a part of these stories just like she was a part of her friends’ lives as well. I don’t know how better to describe it other than I feel kind of cheated that we won’t get Lily’s story because she was taken from us too soon. A touch of real life feelings there.

If you love a parted lovers being reunited again, second chance romance then Resort to Love is a story you should be reading right now. I was easily swept up in Nate and Sofia’s story and enjoyed every minute spent in their world. I would definitely recommend this story, this series to any Contemporary Romance reader who loves a good romance, engaging secondary characters and a love to believe in.

Nathan Patrick Hamilton III has played the part of the good son all his life with one exception—indulging in a secret on again-off again relationship with Sofia in high school and college, knowing that family duty would eventually tear them apart.
this is Sofía Vargas and Nathan Patrick Hamilton III's story.
Heart weighed down by sadness, Sofía Vargas stared across the street at the peeling paint and storm-damaged sign indicating Paradise Key Resort, once a significant part of her home away from home. She gripped her JavaStop paper coffee cup as memories sluiced over her like one of the daily summer rain showers they dealt with along this part of the Florida Gulf Coast.
One thing life had taught her so far was that the fun and games eventually came to an abrupt halt. Oftentimes without any notice or warning.
She offering up a prayer for sweet Lily. Gone far too soon, leaving a gaping hole in their Fabulous Five-some.
Nathan Hamilton, III, eased his rental car into a parking spot on the corner of 2nd and C Streets, a couple of blocks down from Paradise Key Resort.
Travel weary after the flight from New York to Gainesville, Florida, where he’d picked up the convertible and immediately started the hour-plus drive west, he heaved a disgruntled sigh.
This was the absolute last place he wanted to be right now. But when Nathan Patrick Hamilton, II, gave an order, no one, including his namesake, disobeyed.

I am a big fan of the second-chance love story, and Resort to Love was a mildly entertaining way to spend a quiet summer morning.

Sofia and Nate fell in love as teenagers. He was the owner’s son of the resort where Sofia worked during her summers growing up. As they got older, Sofia realized she and Nate would never have a future, so she told him to stop contacting her. Now, two years after their last contact, they discover they are both bidding to purchase the resort where they met and fell in love.

In order for a second chance love story to work for me, there needs to be a couple of things. I need to understand how much they meant to each other, I need to know what went wrong, and I need to understand why they are still hung up on the other person. And while I did get that, for the most part, their previous relationship kind of bothered me.

(Some of the below may seem a bit spoilerish, but in the book their past isn’t treated as a secret, so I don’t feel like I’m ruining a surprise plot point).

Near as I can tell, Sofia and Nate never had an exclusive relationship. From the time they were 16, until 28, it was a “no strings attached” friends-with-benefits type deal. She lived in Florida, he lived in New York, and they would communicate frequently through talk, text and email, only seeing each other occasionally. They were good friends who would hook up whenever the opportunity presented itself. Sofia was always hoping for more, but knew his family expectations wouldn’t allow it. When Nate tells Sofia that his father wants him to marry another woman, she sends him packing. AS SHE SHOULD.

And then Nate, who is supposed to be a brilliant businessman, is hurt because he can’t understand why Sofia doesn’t want to remain friends with him. Turns out he always thought he felt more for Sofia than she did him, and was too big of a pansy to mention it. It’s hard to like a hero when, at the age of 30, he’s still letting his parents completely run his life. I can understand not sharing how you feel when you’re younger, but once you become an adult it’s time to put the big boy boxers on. Nate finally grows a pair, but it took him a long time. And, in my opinion, he owed Sofia a lot more groveling than she got.

This is a shorter book (165 pages according to Goodreads), so that could account for some of the shortcomings in character and plot development. But even so, this second-chance love story fell flat for me. I wanted to feel more for Nate and Sofia, I just didn't.

I'm a sucker for a cute story about love and what a pleasant surprise it was that one of the main characters is Latina. It's not often that I come across Latina/Latino MCs, in movies or in books, so to be able to see some of my culture infused in this book, was a treat. I loved the Spanish words and phrases placed throughout story and how seamlessly they were translated into English, so that non Spanish speakers can enjoy the language too.

The setting for the story is also perfect for this time of year as we transition into summer. The description of Paradise Keys made it easy for me to visualize myself there and get a feel for small town island life. I love it when an author can make the setting feel like a living and breathing character too, which was definitely accomplished.

I really liked how both Sofia and Nate's personalities were depicted. Sofia is strong, independent and works hard to accomplish her goals, but also guarded of her heart. Nate is thoughtful, determined and wanting to right his wrongs, as well as win back Sofis's heart. I rooted for both of them the whole way through, which was a nice change from recent stories I've read where the main characters don't give you a reason to cheer them on. The side characters were also nice additions to the plot, especially those within Sofia's circle. They were very supportive of her and based on the way Sofia was depicted, I understood why they were so loyal and loving toward her. As I stated before, in recent stories I've read, I simply couldn't find reasons why the supporting characters would even like the MCs. But that's not the case here. Both Sofia and Nate are very much likeable.

Overall, this was any easy and enjoyable read. It also keeps the romance clean, without unnecessary descriptions of sex. Not that descriptive romance scenes are a bad thing, it just wasnt necessary for this story and would have actually felt out of place since the language throughout the book is also kept pretty clean.

The only negative is that I wish the story had been longer. Only because I really did enjoy Sofia and Nate's story and wanted more. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I really enjoyed reading Resort to Love by Priscilla Oliveras, book three in The Paradise Key series. This is a second chance love story between Sofía and Nate. While in Paradise Key for her friend’s funeral, Sofia decides to buy the old and rundown resort, that holds many memories from her youth; both happy and sad. However, when she discovers her old flame Nate is also interested in the resort, Sofía realizes protecting her heart might be her biggest challenge. Nate has tried to be the good son his entire life with the exception of his on and off relationship with Sofía. After a two year separation Nate believes he finally has a chance to win back the girl of his dreams and repair the wrong that tore them apart. Sofía doesn’t trust Nate nor does she easily forgive him. It is going to take more than crazy town hall meetings, an emergency trip back to Key West, stolen kisses and a re-creation of their first date, for Nate to even be in the running. Nate must decide if the ultimate prize is the resort or winning back Sofía's heart.

I loved these two and all the demands each had. Sofía had a strong belief and love of family while Nate’s family did not seem to care about him or what he has accomplished as long as he did their bidding. Sofía taught Nate much about what family and love should look like.

This was a fun book to read and easy to visualize the story as it occurred. I totally loved these characters and didn’t want to put this book down. Ms. Olivera did a fantastic job creating her characters, keeping the story interesting, making me forget the world around me and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other reader and look forward to reading the next book in this four book series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

A new beginning for two people who more than deserve it.

Former lovers, Sofía Vargas and Nate Hamilton, are brought together once again on Paradise Key where they are both interested in buying the old Paradise Key Resort, where they first met and fell in love. Each has their own reason wanting to buy the Resort. For Sofia, it’s the nostalgia of it. Paradise Key resort holds some of her best memories and she would love to bring the resort back to life again. She has been running a B&B in Key West and is ready to own her own hotel. Nate wants to prove to his father that he is dedicated to the family business. Buying the resort will be the proof his father needs. Nate and Sofia are surprised to find out they are competing bidders on the property. Will this be the end of their friendship or the start of something new?

When Sofia is needed back in Key West for an emergency, Nate goes with her. They put aside their differences and rediscover the passion they once had. This changes everything. But, when they head back to Paradise Key, their relationship will face the biggest test of all time when they find out who wins the resort.

I have never read any of this author’s books before and look forward to reading more. I liked Sofia’s determination to get what she wanted. Nate seemed a little wimpy at first always doing as his father told him, even getting engaged to someone he didn’t love because it was expected of him. But in the end, I liked how he stood up to him. The writing really brought the story to life. I could easily picture the scenes. The characters were fun and likable. All around, this was a fun book to read.

Disclaimer: I am acquaintances with the author; however, I purchased the hardcopy of this book for full price.

It was so easy to fall into Sofia’s life and connect with her story. Oliveras has an obvious talent for crafting a well-rounded character that is more than just her love life. I supported Sofia’s long-term goals from the beginning because they seemed so realistic and just the side of fantastical necessary for an escapism read.

Sofia’s connection with Nate was real and immediate. Just enough angst to be poignant rather than annoying, and just enough detail to craft a rich history between them without relying exclusively on flashback or info-dumps. The shift in Nate’s character felt a bit immediate, but it was easy to see how the events of this book were “the straw that broke the camel’s back” rather than something out of character from what the author initially created. Overall, a lovely happily ever after.

For the most part, the supporting characters of Sofia’s familia were fleshed-out and realistic (with one exception, the gay character who screaming walking cliche). I wish Sofia’s friends had received the same treatment, but I understand the limitations of working within a shared universe and not wanting to step on other writers’ toes. Unfortunately, the result is that I have zero desire to search out the other books and learn those women’s stories.

Overall, a sweet romance and perfect beach (or anytime) read. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I truly enjoyed “Resort to Love” which is the third book in the Paradise Key series about four friends who have returned to the small beach town where they spent their summer vacations when they were teens and became close friends. Unfortunately, they are back because the fifth member of the group, Lily, was killed in a car accident.

Sofia returns to Paradise Key for the funeral and also to bid on the resort where she worked as a teen and where she met Nate whose family owned the resort then. His father disliked the idea of his son being involved with a Latina and tried to buy her off. Although she refused the money, she eventually broke up with Nate.

Twelve years later she is a college graduate in Hotel Administration and is currently the manager of a chain of B&B’s in Florida. She is determined to buy the resort and revive it.

When she arrives in Paradise Key, she discovers that Nate’s family is also trying to buy the resort and she feels that she cannot compete against the powerful and wealthy family.

Will Sofia win the bidding process? Will Nate side with his family or with Sofia? Will Sofia and Nate find true love …again?

Thanks to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 3 in the Paradise Key series. Each book is written by a different author and tells the story of one of the four friends that returned to say goodbye to thei fifth bestie who was killed in an accident. This book is the story of Sofía who wants to come back to Paradise Key and buy the old resort she worked at as a teen. She had gone to college to study hotel management and was running bed and breakfasts in Key West. Back in the teen summers she had a relationship with the rich owner’s son Nate. His father didn’t approve of their relationship and finally broke them up. He has been sent by his father also to bid on the the old resort they’d sold years back and it fell in disrepair. Sofía and Nate never admitted to being in love before but realize they are still in love while competing to buy the resort. Sofía is Puerto Rican and we get to see some of her culture in this book. There is a bit of suspense as we wonder who will win the bid and what will happen to the couple. This was my first book by this author too and I liked it a lot. I love second Chance romances and this didn’t disappoint.

Sofia Vargas has gone back to the place where she was happy as a teenager, and now she hoping that she will be able to buy the rundown resort. Hoping that no one else would want to bid on this property she is surprised to see the man who a boy was standing looking at her. Nathaniel Patrick Hamilton III is thinking that he must be dreaming but he knows he is not. It is the girl now women that he has always been in love with, and who he hurt years ago. Sofia does not forget what he did to her when she thought he was going to propose her but instead it was to another women because it would help the family business. Not wanting to think about it she must now only hope that he is not here to try and bid for the sane property as she, for she cannot go up against the Hamilton money. A wonderful story about young love, lost loves and can love be found again. Also how much is family worth, enough to walk away for the one you love or stay with family? Read this wonderful story and find out. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

Priscilla Oliveras’ Resort to Love is book three of the Paradise Key series. Four friends have returned to mourn the loss of the fifth of their group who died due to a tragic accident. Sofia’s story is one of the most self-actualization stories in the series so far. I liked this woman. I liked how she stood up to an arrogant wealthy jerk when she was nineteen. I liked her sense of self preservation and her wariness, especially with Nathan.

Nathan Patrick Hamilton III is not like his father, but he certainly toed the line for many years. He actually needed to grovel, so I was glad to see that he was up to the job. Sofia and Nate’s story is my favorite of the series so far. That is saying a lot since this is the first book I remember reading by her. The perfect beach read where Cinderella doesn’t need to be saved from her life but maybe in the end it’s the Prince that needs to be.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sofia has her heart set on reopening the hotel that has always played a huge role in her and her familia's life, it seems just one person stands in the way. Nathan is back in Paradise Key's to place a bid on his families old hotel when he finds out there is one other bid. Can Nathen and Sofia come to terms in this crazy bid process or will Nathen's Dad be the catalyst to the end?

What a sweet story. So far this series has been really fun and this book did not disappoint either. The love that these two had when they were teenagers follows through this whole story. It makes you think of your own high school sweetheart. The book was a super quick read and really makes you feel like you are catching up with friends not reading a fiction book, it just has a way of drawing you in. I loved how the family is so important to Sofia and how she loves so wholeheartedly. This book does have some adult situations but overall this book was a super fun read. This series is the perfect series to grab this summer for sure.

Nate and Sofia let their different backgrounds come between them before. Nate let his father control his life and Sofia let her insecurities come between her and the man she loves.

Sofia comes from a family that love and support each other very much. Nate comes from a family that barely tolerate each other.

Years ago, they were both together when Nate told Gabby he was getting engaged to another woman to please his father. Nate’s reluctance to go against his father’s. I really enjoyed this book although I was annoyed at their reluctance to admit their true feelings to each other that lead to them separating the first time.

I love novels like this. The second chance at love with an ex.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

I was lucky enough to get approved for an ARC of this. Having read Priscilla two other releases in her Matched to Perfection series i was excited to read this. It was a sweet quick read! And even without reading the first book of this connected series, you won't be lost. It stands on its own perfectly, and you do get mention of the couple from the first book.

I liked that this was low angst (i love me some angst too but this was just what i needed) and Nate and Sofia were rekindling a past relationship. Gotta love the second chance at love trope :)

Paradise Keys felt like a character on it's own. Priscilla really painted a vivid picture of the people and place. Loved that.

Would recommend as a quick, enjoyable beach read :D

This is the third book in the Paradise Key multi author series. Since all four of these stories occur concurrently these books can be read in any order you choose or as standalones. This is Sophia & Nate's story. It's a second chance story as these two are reunited after several years apart. They had a glorious summer together and stayed in touch even after going their separate ways. They come from two different worlds and when Nathan chose to do his father's bidding Sophia cut all ties. Now they are both back in Paradise Key looking to buy the same resort property. Can they find their way back to each other or will Nathan continue to let his father rule his life?

This is a fantastic story and one I think everyone will enjoy.
