Just as Daniel Abrahams is about to embark on an overseas adventure, he is arrested at the airport. A package containing heroin has been found in his bag. Daniel has no idea how the package got there.
Erin Matthews, a former public prosecutor, is building her career in a prestigious Durban law firm when she is asked to defend Daniel. Desperate to leave criminal law behind her, she very reluctantly agrees to take his case.
As Erin gets to know Daniel’s family and his Church, she will discover that there is far more at stake than the freedom of an innocent young man.
What a riveting story!! It is fast paced. You feel as if you are right there in the room with the characters and I didn't want to put it down! A "PK", a preachers kid, found with heroine in his carry on bag at the airport! And he has absolutely no idea how it got there. You watch as it spirals out of control and how it impacts the pastor, his family and his church. Highly recommended.
This book was interesting, mysterious, and realistic. It covers a variety of topics and I found myself trying to figure out the mystery many times in a number of ways. It's refreshing to read a qualify book without a ton of sex and vulgarity.
