It wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I think I need a more in depth reading on each card. This was a good start for people who are just beginning but for someone like me who wants more insight on each card, I need to keep looking.
I absolutely loved this book. It does exactly what it says on the tin and gives you several methods of memorising meanings, these are suitable for people who don't learn so well by just sitting and reading. I actually found this book quite inspiring. I have done professional tarot courses in the past and I have to say that this book made a lot more sense! It really pushes the whole individuality for the meanings too, different people will interpret cards differently. I'd really recommend this book. I honestly can't believe I didn't think of some of this earlier. Thank you so much for writing it.
It's a simple quick read that's 45 pages. I like the author gets to the point on describing the court cards & breaks down the basics of getting to know the four elements in the Minor Arcana. Wands, Swords, Cups, & Pentacles. She gives the astrological signs & the different elements to each & simple quick meanings to interpreting the cards. While this is a short read, going over the Major Arcana isn't explained in the book but she interprets her own meaning of the Major Arcana.
I have just got my first tarot deck and picked this book quite simply because it gets you working with the cards straight away. As well as containing exercises there is advice about choosing a deck and a chapter on tarot myths among other subjects. A small book and a quick read, but if like me you're at the start of your tarot journey this book will help you get started.
A very easy and quick book to read. I read it within half an hour but it has some useful hints and tips on the best structure to working with your cards. Other reviews said they wouldn't buy the book as you could find all this information at hand on the internet which is very true, but I did but the book cause I liked the idea of having this information at hand when needed. I enjoyed this book. It's very small with not a lot of bombarding informatiin.
I do not like to give authors lower stars when it was my reading preference versus the content of the book. My honest review of this book is that it would be a good tool for someone trying to learn how to tap into what they may see. I'm a little more advanced and connected to the cards so this was not for me but it is a very short read so you can not go wrong with that.
The best introduction and guide into intuitive reading I've found as of yet. I've been looking for this kind of guidance for a while, and I will continue to refer back to the exercises Faye details in order to hone my skills. I have a much better understanding now of how to read the cards myself without relying heavily on other people's interpretations of what each card means.
I don’t have time or a good brain for memorization. I’ve also never followed a box. So for me, I grabbed this book already knowing all that it said but essentially wanting a permission slip to enjoy my cards my way! If you don’t like work or rules but love tarot here’s your book!
This was a quick read regarding interpreting, tarot cards intuitively. There are several exercises that you can participate in and I really like how the author breaks down one card readings. I’m a professional reader and I found that while I know how to read intuitively, it’s always good to get a refresher. I recommend.
Enjoyed reading this book. Loved the idea of turning the cards into a story. And studying the cards and looking at the signs in the pictures and intuitively reading the cards and using the meanings of what the signs pictures and colours you see in the cards mean to you. Also some nice exercises to do.
Good choice for beginners or someone looking for unique outlook
It had a wonderful and unique way to teach plus the book was quite interesting that I didn't miss any page. A short but a very helpful book. Recommended to beginners for sure.
Short read but useful tools for starting out. Mostly relates to Rider-Waite deck though so if you have Marseille or other, you mat still need some other materials to help you decipher the cards.
Great book, I found it really helpful. I was stuck on understanding the cards and forever using the cards guide book for reference, this a a new way for me and so much more easier for me to understand the cards and the meaning. Thank you Thea. 💜
I've been an intuitive reader for 5 years now, and the description and instructions to help you truly tell a story with the cards, which you learn here, is amazing!! A must read for even experienced readers!
A very simple and practical approach to connect with the cards. Great for beginners and a wonderful "return to basics" or "listen to your intuition" reminder for those more experienced with the Tarot.
For such a short book, this one relays quite a bit of good information. Faye gives the basic outline of what you need to know and then makes reasonable suggestions on how to move forward on your own, learning to listen to your intuition. Recommend this quick read
Really quick read. More of an activity book, I'd advise to understand and know each cards' meanings. It's okay for working on one's intuition. Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 just make a huge jump, though, that may be confusing for beginners, to be honest.
This is very simply wrote from the beginner tarot reader! It was easy to follow And had nice ideas, I do which it went a little more in depth, but I did more research and found out that this author has a few more shorts one so I'm thinking they build up on one another .
It was OK. Best for a beginner and could give confidence to someone just starting out. It didn't go into depth and only had one reading example. I would not recommend this as your only tarot book to learn about this system.
This was very insightful and definitely going to help me get better acquainted with my deck! If you are just getting into tarot or just want insight on how to better connect with your cards, this is a good place to start.
This book was so so useful! It’s honestly one of the best and honest books I have come across when trying to learn more about tarot readings. I would 100% recommend this!
I must admit I was sceptical when I bought this book but that soon changed after reading a few pages. This is a very natural approach to a system that is usually shrouded I'm mystery and superstition and I have to say I think this approach is going to work well.
I ordered this book by mistake ! The length disappointed me, barely 50 pages. A quick read. There were some interesting ideas like using the tarot to build a story.
Two things surprised me : the formatting choice of having a title appearing at the bottom of a page, and a typo, the fire signs, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. One is mentioned twice.
