The war with the Blue Dragons is over, and with the signing of the comprehensive treaty, there is the promise of a lasting peace between all nations. But John has inadvertently awoken a danger even greater than the vengeful Blue Dragons: the black True Dragon, an immense murderous creature that may well be unstoppable.
This is Part 3 of a trilogy which starts with Becoming a Dragon. It is written to a junior high level but does not suffer on that account. The series is reasonably long, with definite themes for each book. War and action are included, but heroism and growth have their part as well. This is a nice Coming of Age tale. The True Dragon concept is itself novel, as well as many parts of a dragon society of many races.
I am a 15-year-old female and I have loved this book series so far. My brother is 17 and he loves it as well. I can't wait for the next book to come out and would recommend this book series to any teen who likes fantasy novels like myself.
I really enjoyed reading this novel and it still entertaining even after reading the novel multiple times. I am eagerly waiting for the next book to come out and learn more about the new Dragons.
I thought it was a very good book and a good continuation of the series that as a very interesting premise, looking forward to any future books in the series.
