Characters from previous entries make an appearance but “Unwrapping His Mountain Package” reads entirely as a standalone novella.

Madison Faye has done it again! I love me some Mountain Men! They are burly, surly, alpha as all hell, and most importantly protective over what is theirs. Dane oh sweet baby Jesus Dane is no different. He is a bit of everything from soldier to hero to everything in between and them some.
Dane is hired to deliver a package to the mob. He does not ask any questions but gets in the truck and starts to drive his package to its destination. He is going along fine until he hits the mountains and an avalanche sends him over the cliff. Once he stops he checks to make sure his package is still in one piece when he realizes that the package is not an item but a gorgeous woman. Holy hell he can't believe he is carrying a woman and he gets them to a cabin he sees in the distance.
Holly is supposed to be a payment for a debt owed. She has no idea where she is going or to whom she is going to be with but when the truck starts to crash she thinks her life is over. That is until Dane opens the back up and finds her in there. The two of them go to the cabin where there is no food or heat. They know they are going to need to do something so they come up with a plan.
Only Dane is determined to keep Holly safe from the mob and keep her for himself. With the mob fresh on their tails they will need help staying safe and the safest place right now is on the mountain where the folks there can help them out.

I hate to say it, because I'm really a big fan of Madison, but this one wasn't my favorite. The whole thing about he was helping to keep her hostage, even though he didn't know it in the beginning... I don't know, it just didn't sit right with me. The story was okay, but I admit that I just skimmed over a lot of the pages because I wasn't into it. It just wasn't the kind of thing I like to read about. I was gifted a copy.

I quite enjoyed this book. It was different than the other books so kept things interesting. When we meet Dane, he is driving a vehicle with cargo to be delivered to a secret Mr Black. Sounds easy enough as he has made many deliveries before. And it would have been easy had it not been for all the snow on Blackthorn Mountain. He ended up crashing and thats when he heard the woman scream.
In this book the man is not someone who lives on the mountain or someone who is friends with someone who lives on the mountain. Both Dane and Holly are strangers to the mountain men. We read as they have to get over lots of struggles to trust each other to avoid dying of hypothermia. Once the trust begins and their relationship takes off she is then kidnapped without a trace. Good thing for those good old mountain men keeping an eye on their land.

I do happen to be a very big fan of Madison Faye books, always safe with the ideal happy ever after.
Dane has been transporting goods for the mafia for a while, but this isn’t the normal item that he is used to delivering as he discovers when his truck tumbles down the side of Blackthorn Mountain. He wasn’t prepared for the most beautiful woman in the crate and had no idea that he was on this occasion trafficking a woman. One look and he’s done, she holds his heart in the palm of her hand and he will do anything to protect her and when Angelo’s men turn up and take her away he is determined to get her back and finds help offered from the Blackthorn Mountain Men. Could he really be getting his HEA or is it too good to be true?
Holly has never regretted anything as much as she regrets getting involved with Tony, he has been destroying her self-worth and that doesn’t count the times that he has hit her, she now finds herself as the payment to his boss Angelo after he loses in a game of poker. That’s how she finds herself trapped in the back of a truck being sent as a gift to the infamous “Mr Black”. But after the truck she was being transported in takes a tumble down the side of the mountain she finds herself with the opportunity to escape and fall in love with the man who was transporting her but ultimately ends up being her saviour. Will they get their happy ever after or will the Mob finally take everything from her?
Great short read that is full of drama, intrigue and is so hot your ereader may actually melt, I know I was worried about mine………….

I loveeee reading my mountain men by Madison!! And this one didn't disappoint!! Our guy Dane is a smuggler for the mob.. guns, drugs and such and doesn'task questions. but he does have a line.. when he is hit by a avalanche he finds out he is smuggling a woman.. that's something he doesn't do.
Holly poor holly she was thrusted into this by her abusive ex boyfriend.. when she saw Dane for the first time.. she kicks him in the balls to escape 🤣🤣🤣🤣 go girl!! Once the misunderstanding is settled and he won't take her to the buyer..and the sexual tension is up to 10 in the truck.. things get down and dirty.

I love the Blackthorn Mountain Men they are some of my favorite by this author, this one was just ok for me. Dane is transporting for the Mob, something he has no idea what to a Mr. Black. But after getting stuck and having a major car crash off the side of the mountain he finds his cargo is a half naked woman. Holly and Dane get stuck together in the truck by a blizzard then an avalanche and must keep warm, we all know body heat is the best source to warm you up.
I really love this author, and I know that I am getting smut, with insta love, its all over the top fantasy, that I like to read. A book a day keeps reality away. I am just kinda over the release on command that she has in every story. I did like the banter between these two, it was a dire situation but they still found humor in it.

So we have another wonderful story that is added to the Blackthorn Mountain Men story bundle.
We get a wonderful kidnapping/trafficking story. Dane is tasked with taking a package to someone on the Blackthorn mountain. While he is driving a horrible storm shows up and he ends up wrecking. Needless to say he had no idea what was in the trunk of his car.
Holly is in the back of his car. He had no idea she was back there or why. But when he finds her he is determined to never let her out of his sight again. He just might need a little help to get out of the problem he seems to be in.

Dane suddenly hears a woman’s screams, where from?
Dane was making a delivery to a so called “Mr Black” but the snow was coming down fast and heavy and now the road on the mountain is becoming treacherous however he has to continue and make the delivery until suddenly he hits a patch of ice and finds him and his truck rolling down the side of the mountain side.
Then he hears a woman’s screams and they seem to be coming from behind him in the actual back of the van, he struggles out into the snow and opens the van and discovers a half-naked woman shivering and bruised after her tumble down the mountain, she had been hidden inside a wooden package, kidnapped and sold to pay off a gambling debt her one-time boyfriend owed.
Holly and Dane soon realise that they are simply two people that were in the wrong place at the wrong time and also that he is her saving grace without his help she would have either frozen in the extreme cold after the accident, should she have reached Mr Black it was also most likely she would not be seen or heard from again.
Then as they get to know each other a whole lot better the realise that they are both drawn to each other and that it has been so long since either had felt happy, loved and safe that they were going to ensure no one, no how was going to come between them. Unfortunately she is kidnapped but she refused to give in and Dane discovers that the men on Blackthorn Mountain consider him one of their own and they go with him to rescue the kidnapped Holly…

Dane moves things for a living and gets paid very well to get them to the destination on time without anyone stopping him or asking questions. He finds himself on a snowy mountain top on his way to a drop off when his truck is shoved off the road and he hears the last thing he ever thought he'd hear as he tumbles down the slope...a woman's scream. When the truck comes to rest he gets out to figure out why there is a person screaming and why it's coming from the back of his truck.
Holly was just lying in bed, minding her own business when her boyfriends business acquaintances barge in and kidnap her to be traded off to a mob connection to settle his debt. She's shoved into a box in nothing but her t-shirt and underwear with no clue to her destination other than a name that's surely fake. When the temperature turns bitterly cold, she's sure she'll die before being traded off, but then her world begins to tumble in a literal sense. Can things get any worse?
Great characters, great story and a great addition to Blackthorn Mountain.

Unwrapping his mountain package is book seven in the Blackthorn mountain men series. This story is short, fast paced and a steamy festive, action packed read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I liked Dane. He was just doing a job; he never expected to find he was delivering a girl to someone. I liked Holly. She wasn’t going down easily. She didn’t know that she could trust Dane. It didn’t take her long to realise she could.
The chemistry between Holly and Dane is clear to see and they made a good couple. Their passion between one another was through the roof. A lot of the scenes in this story are kindle melting hot. I liked the edge of danger in this story. I liked that Tony got what he deserved and that Angelo didn’t get what he wanted. I loved that the men of Blackthorn stepped up to help Dane and Holly. Overall, I liked this story. I hope for more from this series.

I know I’m in the minority here but I just didn’t like this one. The only reason I finished it was because I’ve read all the books in the series and it’s really short so I just skimmed a lot of it because I knew the characters from the other books would make some sort of appearance at the end.
I’m fine with insta love and ridiculous storylines but a sex trafficked girl having sex with her “captor“ within hours of kicking him in the balls while trying to escape and him telling her that he owns “this” while they’re having sex when she really doesn’t even know if he plans on still delivering her to her buyer was just too much. Not to mention her light-hearted ness and giggling and joking was crazy. Then how about after we’ve dug our way out of an avalanche, finally gotten warm after we’ve spent 2 days worrying about freezing to death- maybe we should break the ice on the pond out back and take a skinny dip. That sounds fun.

Oh my! This was so good, I can hardly stand it.
Another 5 star from me....yes, I know, I give mostly 5 stars anyway. But only if it's a safe book that..
1) I would re-read
2) I would recommend others read
3) marks off the majority of my "preferences" in what I like to read.

It was great getting glimpses of past Blackthorn Mountain characters. Makes me want to go back and re-read the whole series again.
Another 5 star from me....yes, I know, I give mostly 5 stars anyway. But only if it's a safe book that..

This is the seventh book in the series and they can be read as standalone books. However, I like them better in order. He works for the mob sometimes. He transports things for them. This time he got more than he bargained for. Pushed off the road by an avalanche he discovers he isn’t transporting goods this time but a woman. He isn’t okay with that. It gets even worse when he has an instant attraction to her. She is his now and he won’t let anyone take her from him. Madison has done it again. While these books aren’t completely probable that isn’t why we read them. This is a quick super steamy read sure, to heat up your cold winter night. The characters are great. The guys from the previous books make an appearance as well. I look forward to more books in this series.

Author Madison Faye has become the queen of the short - over-the-top romance, and her Blackthorn Mountain series is one of her best! While I have enjoyed every one of the titles in the Blackthorn Mt. series, Faye’s newest title, “UNWRAPPING HIS MOUNTAIN PACKAGE,” is my favorite! Blackthorn Mountain just keeps getting Hotter and Hotter
Dane and Holly are the newest visitors to Blackthorn. Dane never knew that the cargo he was hauling for the mob boss was the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. But, after his truck crashing over the side of the mountain hearing the beauties screams from the back of the truck were definitely alarming. Once getting her safe and warm in the cab he never would have though that she would feel the connection he felt. When the mob finds them and takes Holly away Dane learns that the owners of Blackthorn take care of their own. I Love the Alpha Men on this mountain!!

Hot enough to melt a blizzard
Holly can’t think of anything better than being stuck in a truck on the side of A mountain in the middle of a blizzard with a big sexy ex-marine.
We’ll ignore the fact that he was transporting her against her will, in a box in the back of his truck to a man who’d paid him to.
Dane had no idea what he was transporting until he crashed his truck and found the sexy and scared Holly. But when he sees her his inner caveman screams MINE!!!
It’s so over the top it’s ridiculous. But it’s so damn hot and sexy we’ll overlook all that.
It’s fast and over too soon but it’s sure to warm you up real quick.

I love these Blackthorn men. They protect what is theirs and that includes their women. Dane and Holly meet in very unusual circumstances. Dane is a driver for the mob and he is delivering (unknown to him), Holly. When they crash they need to stay warm and do they stay warm. The chemistry and heat between them is very hot. This is a quick and naughty read that can get you warmed up quick. This has fantastic characters and you get to see sone familiar faces. Another Blackthorn novella you don’t want to miss.

Wow. That was quick and dirty. Lots of filthy talk and even filthier action. So more like 3.5. (I just don’t feel right rating this up there with the likes of longer, more heartwrenching romances on my list. Maybe it’s also ‘cause I’ve taken a break from romances, that this first one back seems that great?)
Nice intro to Ms. Madison Faye. The Blackthorn series is on Kindle Unlimited... I might just check them out. Even the one with Austin & Dallas sharing a bride, though one-on-one is more my style.

Dane is a truck driver paid to pick up and drop off until an avalanche runs him off the road and he finds way more than his usual merchandise he carries. Holly isn't sure if she can trust Dane but they are stuck in the mountains in an avalanche and she has no choice but to trust him to survive. But spending time togetherand with there chemistry off the charts love is bound to happen! Ott alpha. Mobsters and more make this a suspense filled Christmas ride!

I have been blessed with a number of awesome books this month, and most of them by Madison Faye. Now I need to go back and read the rest of this series. If you are looking for a rough, tough, and ready hero, this is one for you. Also, the heroine, although she got into a bad situation, is not one to take her situation laying down. Yes, it is insta love, but this is what I like about most of Ms. Faye's work. Sometimes I am just looking for a quick, yet quality read.

Super Sexy but limited story line
I thought this book was decent. Super sexy scenes with lots of dirty and raunchy parts (not a bad thing if that's what you want). The only negative was that the storyline was stilted and rushed to focus on the sex scenes. Just a warning for those who want more of a story not sex in their romance like books. Overall decent and recomend for erotica lovers. ;)

Just when you thought this series was over, another great addition comes along - no less delicious, though! Dane has no idea what his cargo is until he is forced to contend with it, and what a perfect surprise it was for him! As usual, there is a dirty-talking OTT male who claims a female for himself, with the perfect ending made possible by the other mountain inhabits, who lend a helping hand.
