Read 3/4/22. 3.5 🌟

This was another cute, light read by this author. The couple's story was pretty good. The h was fantastic! Raised in an orphanage, all she wants is a home and to be wanted. The H, on the other hand, was VERY hard to like in the beginning. His plan of a proxy wedding to foist her on his brother was cruel.

Honestly, it's the children that make PF's books entertaining. When the H showers his newly adopted daughter with love and strangely feathers, my heart melts🥰

Sweet story

It dragged in many places but it was a really sweet story. Little BB and her 'fetters' was very cute. I didn't like the hero very much at first and I really wish his ex-mistress wasn't in the book. I didn't like hearing his thoughts about her and how good they were together. Also the resolution with the Duke and his 'maid' seemed totally far fetched but I do read for the fantasy of it and I'll take the shiny rainbow version of their story. I do think I will read this author again. It wasn't steamy but I don't mind that but for those who do just FYI. This is safe and free in KU.
