Music and longing collide in this ballad of unrequited love!
Nino Arisugawa, a girl who loves to sing, experiences her first heart-wrenching goodbye when her beloved childhood friend, Momo, moves away. And after Nino befriends Yuzu, a music composer, she experiences another sad parting! Luckily, Nino reunites with Momo and Yuzu in high school, but things haven’t played out the way anyone expected…
Nino’s voice remains in terrible shape as she takes the stage at Tokyo Sailing… In a last-ditch effort, a determined Yuzu removes his mask and whispers, “Sing with me, Alice”… Will they be able to save In No Hurry’s performance?
I skimmed over it a second time just to make sure I felt the way I did because I have LOVED this series so much, but this volume really made me upset.
SPOILERS AHEAD
So I strongly disagree with Momo.
I don't like how he handled the situation and how he broke up with Nino followed by saying come chase after me. Yes, I did reread it and he said he would chase after her too, but I felt he wanted her to chase him after she felt ready.
Dude, no.
She has chased after you for almost the whole series. I get that singing is extremely important to Nino, but she made a choice and she chose Momo. I think it was unfair for him to rip that decision from her, regardless if she sang the best she ever has after he broke up with her.
I just felt it was extremely unfair and my heart broke for Nino even more then it already has because it's like her choice wasn't respected, whether it was the "right" one or not.
SPOILERS OVER
So, because of that I didn't feel my whole heart was in it for the rest of the volume. I did like that at least SOMEONE is looking like they are healing and moving forward. That was a good chapter and really wish I could have appreciated it more.
I did love the chapter involving Haruyoshi! He is hands down my favorite and really loved the conversation that him and Yuzu have. (Later on on that moment between Haruyoshi and Miou had was everything! SQUEALS!)
Yuzu is still the man and admire him so much!
The ending chapter with Momo was such an unexpected one. I'm not sure how I felt about everything that happened because it wasn't something I was prepared for.
Overall, after writing all this, it wasn't a "bad" volume. There were quite a few parts I did like, but I would still say this is my least favorite volume in the series so far. Compared to my feelings per every volume thus far, I'm giving this one 3.5 stars.
My heart can't take this! This wasm such a bittersweet volume, I creid a lot. I'm still not sure who I'm rooting for, I love them both. And the main character Nino is soooo relatebale to me, I really enjoy this manga!
This volume was a big improvement from the last couple of volumes. As what I've said over there, had this volume been just as bad as the others, I would have dropped this already. Well, I'm glad that this volume had a huge improvement.
First off, it was nice seeing more development from Kuro and An, it was also nice seeing Haruyoshi and Miou AND Haruyoshi and Yuzu's relationship also develop as well. I'm also glad to see Momo and his mom start to have something. I'm also happy to see Alice finally start to think to change. Honestly, what I really dislike about her is how Momo-centric she has lived her life. I would like to see her stop thinking about Momo all the time and actually start thinking of other people or whatever. Well for what its worth, this volume was pretty good and for the time being, I shall continue reading the next volume.
"My singing was based solely on my feelings for Momo. I'd do anything to build it a stronger foundation than that.' YES FINALLY! Nino comes into her own a little bit in this one, and realizes she can sing for the fans. I am glad we got to see a little more of Momo and his mom's relationship as well. The characters are getting soke more depth now, and we also get cute moments between An and Kuro.
Yuzu, I love you. Yuzu is really the protagonist of this series. He's the one who makes things happen. He's the conduit character. Yes, Momo and Alice are important - but their story wouldn't be as compelling without Yuzu. I hope he gets to sing by the end of the series.
Momo can see that Nino is struggling at a concert and he knows that the reason her singing sucks is that she's not pining after him, so he walks up to her and breaks up with her on stage, which was both douchey and really caring at the same time because he can see that even though he loves her and wants to be with her, it's basically killing her career. But it really does help her improve her singing. Yana manages to get the band to do the opening song of a new anime and Yuzu ends up writing the music and lyrics. Ayumi and An, the newest Pop Club Band member are getting closer and Ayumi is so adorable when he realizes that he could fall for her. Haruyoshi decides after much deliberation that he will apply for college in business administration, to help later with the band. Yuzu and Alice go on a "date" to see another band called Girlless and he finally realizes that she's broken up with Momo, which started him composing like crazy. Highly recommended for ages 14+, 5 stars.
"Getting what you want out of this world isn't easy. When you manage to get ahold of something you care about, never let it go without a fight. Always appreciate what you have."
"There are as many types of relationships as there are stars in the sky."
"Each beat from In No Hurry's drums was like a blast of wind that blew my gloom away."
Aaaand it got good again! I was feeling disappointed with the last volume, but this time I was knocked out of the stadium. I love seeing Nino grow and accepting it's time to change. Yuzu, too. Even the scene with Momo's mom was touching. Only 4 more volumes to go. Excited to see who Nino chooses, or if she just chooses herself. And trivially, I love Nino's polka dot skirt.
I kinda hoped, actually, in a way for more things to happen in this volume, but it felt a bit like a filler episode would feel. I mean, Momo and Alice did break up, so that's a big thing, but in a way, it was bound to happen the way that everything seemed to be changing in Alice's singing, so they got together just to fall apart, and of course, I feel bad for yuzu as the second lead, who just wants the best for Alice, and wants him to notice her. I'm just hopeful that she does find the meaning for her singing, and not just singing for someone else, when being in a band, is way more than just singing for one person, in particular. You sing for your band, and your fans, first& foremost, but lastly, you do sing for yourself.

Ah, Momo! Such a hard decision that was both kinda douchey but completely correct to give Nino her voice back. I was afraid that if such a thing were to happen it would be so heartbreaking and bitter, but I like that there was such an emphasis on the mutual love and a desire to become stronger individuals first.
I’m happy to finally see the musical growth in Nino. While she has been doing other things to venture further into music, I’d been having a bit of a problem with her basing everything on Momo because it made her unstable. I really like that she’s finally opening up see what she needs to strengthen in herself to a better artist.
But im glad it did not happened!!!! Me enganche mucho con la historia otra vez y Ryoko sensei no falla 💓 la amo la amo la amo.
Now if you excuse me, me iré a continuar this masterpiece 😌
Um, ok. Wasn’t expecting that, but I guess I’m all right with it because Nino and Momo did not really have a healthy dating relationship. Except…all of the drama could have been avoided if they just communicated more openly. And they’ll probably just get back together again. 🙄
Other than the annoyances of angsty teen romance, I enjoyed all the character development in this one! I even enjoyed Momo’s storyline!
(I feel bad that I STILL like Nino and Momo much better when they’re not together. 😅)

Oh, gods, oh gods. I don't even hate him anymore! 😱 People are right, she doesn't deserve either one of them. Gods why are they so obsessed with her and what the freaks? Why would she need to break up to be able to sing? Like really? Uuuuuggh. I'm just getting annoyed. I want to give it three stars but I feel it's unfair to the other characters... Uughhhh.
I hate to say it but this volume was super boring. The development feels non-existent, the characters are getting on my nerves & Momo & Nino’s relationship is totally unhealthy. I honestly can’t find anything I liked about this volume so I might drop the series if this continues. I’ll probably read the next volume but the next one might be my last.
I stand by my earlier statement that Nino should already have a more solid foundation to her singing but I'm glad she's finally going to work towards that. I'm a bit sad about what Momo did but it needed to happen. I'm glad that was acknowledged and they didn't try to continue their relationship and pretend everything was fine. The ending with Momo's mom was absolutely heartbreaking.
It's like it's a commentary on how books tend to lose their tension once our romantic interests get together. They way they've curbed it is to break them up and continue to have them be at tension, I guess.
I’ll admit that I’m confused when it comes to the Nino losing her voice thing because she finally has Momo. Sing some love songs about your man!!! Yeah, I know Yuzu writes the songs so that’s a hard no lol
I love this series and this volume was great. I like that the was a big focus on the band developments and Nino's singing. I also like that not too much time was spent following concerts and performances, because they seem to be a little repetitive when done and take up many pages for not enough plot. Still, I can't wait for the next volume and to see where this is going
