The Duke's Christmas Blessing
When his beloved fiancée disappears on the day that they are supposed to announce their engagement, His Grace, Lord Hugh Byron is in deep despair. He loves the lowly maiden and is prepared to live a life of loneliness for he cannot bear to marry any other woman. His heart belongs to Jane Watson and he has no interest in any other. Lord Byron believes that Jane will eventually return to him and then they will be happy together. On Christmas Day when he receives a strange request from one of the wealthiest men in England, Lord Byron knows it’s a proposal to marry the Earl’s daughter. Out of respect for the older man, he accepts to host the earl and his countess but his mind is firmly made up about waiting for his one true love. No amount of persuasion or enticement moves him, not even when he meets their heavily veiled daughter. Lord Byron has no idea that his honesty and integrity are about to bring him a Christmas blessing that he could never have anticipated.

Another sweet read by Charity McCollum
What else can one say about this author's books. The stories are so sweet and such a pleasure to read, that the historical inaccuracies become insignificant. The couple Hugh (impoverished Duke) and Jane (Judith) his beloved were a delight and with Hugh's honesty and integrity he deserved his happy ending'
For all those who love a sweet, clean and short read I would thoroughly recommend this book, for those who like a more substantial book I would still recommend it for it's uplifting qualities.

Hugh is the new Duke and living in the family home that is deteriorating; due to the drinking and gambling of both his older brother and uncle. He rented parcels of land; this is where he met Jane who was a very lovely maid and he fell in love with her.
This is a really sweet, clean, and short story with some mystery and a lot of trust.

Nicely written story. I enjoyed the struggle on the part of the Duke when he discovers his love has disappeared. Quite entertaining. Highly recommend.

Excellent story
This was really a good story of honesty and integrity but it ended to so. No epilogue or when they restored the major or if they had children. Those endings mean a lot in a good storyline.
