Fascinating, riveting, harrowing and sexy. It's a hard balance to strike, but Mistress T strikes it, in part by being brutally honest and an open book. Couldn't put it down.

What I liked best about this book is that the author didn’t just describe her journey up and into the porn industry (and specifically FemDomm), but she humanized the experience very effectively. Mistress T not only told the story, mostly chronologically, but she told how it felt along the way and wrapped up the book by describing how she got there and what it’s done to her along the way. She also came to an understanding of what events happened while she was young that made her the perfect, Mistress T. A fascinating read.

This is an amusing memoir. I came for the raciness but stayed for the adventure. The author’s wanderlust made for a delightful journey as she braved peril and navigated unfamiliar paths, both geographical and amorous.

I'm definitely a fan and porn bios also intrigue me, so picking this up was a no-brainer. I found the book to be an easy read with a charismatic voice that transforms the story into a page-turner, but I found some of the authorial decisions baffling and the sudden tonal shift of the final chapter and subsequent wrap-up to be the literary equivalent of a ruined orgasm (which may very well be appropriate given this is a bio for a femdom porn star, but I digress).
Mistress T has lived a strange and interesting life and I found her tales of dining with crime bosses in Mexico or nearly getting mauled to death by monkeys in India just as fascinating as the way in which she kinda-sorta backdoored her way to the top of the fetish porn scene through an unconventional route. She's also not afraid to admit certain unglamorous truths about herself, such as her fixation on beauty and the aging process or her man-eating ways. For instance, I found it darkly ironic to learn that her real-life relationship with her earliest stunt cock - the 'bull' in countless Mistress T fantasy videos - came to a disastrous conclusion after she made him the cuckold for real off-screen.
However, I was confused by the decision to change the names of almost anything related to the porn industry. Websites, production companies, and even performers are given assumed names, which is odd considering most people picking this book up are already fans. There's a section where she discusses one of her more popular scenes and it's painfully obvious she's talking about Shane Diesel, but his name is changed for reasons that escape me. One of the only adult entertainment industry people that is referred to by their actual stage name is Samantha Mack, who Mistress T apparently had something of a relationship with at some point. It's the only part of the biography where the author refuses to go into any detail, which also confused me. Why mention it at all if you're not comfortable talking about it?
I do wish more time was dedicated to the inner workings of Mistress T's business and brand. She is immensely proud of what she's accomplished and the business is undoubtedly a big part of who she is, but there are only snippets of the business side of things peppered throughout the second half of the book. Likewise, I'd love to know more about the directorial and creative side of her smut making. Much is made of Mistress T the performer, but she's also directed and edited a huge chunk of her own content too and it doesn't get as much of a mention as I would have expected. I suppose the fan in me wanted to know more about that side of the business too.

A very different book than the typical "porn star" bio. Which makes sense since Mistress T is not a typical pornstar. I really enjoyed this one. T appears to potentially burn some bridges and because it's mostly about personal friends and relatives it doesn't come off as vindictive like when stars "tell-all" on other celebrities (T has mostly stayed out of the mainstream industry, instead curating her own website, content and career). The tone is one of straight forward truth. T's truth, of course, with no sense of "character performance" or expectation. It feels like T is more interested in getting her life into context for herself. I could see this being off putting for some, as T is blunt, but there is some real revelations shared by T that I think is of value to the reader. It puts humanity to a sex workers story, and not in a self pitying or "victim" way that humanity usually shows in these biographies.
It's a remarkable journey. Glad I read it.

If you're interested in the world of FemDom or porn, or just interested in human sexuality in general, give this book a read. Mistress T's life is fascinating. It begins with her childhood and takes you all the way until present day. Her journey is amazing. Behind the scenes of the fantasy, a peak into the personal life of a world renowned porn star. Relationship transparency, mental health issues, fetishes, partying and business -you can't make up a story like this. I couldn't put it down. As a female reading this book I was enraptured by her confidence. Beautifully written. Mistress T's story telling abilities are a peak at what I hope are the first of many of her books.

Worth buying the Kindle or paperback edition and the Audible version to get the full impact as a very driven and successful lady in her chosen field describes her life experiences to date. Those experiences take you on a roller coaster of emotions reflected by the tone of the Canadian author's beautiful voice as she recounts the highs and lows directly attributable to her lifestyle and family relationships. On top of all that the work and social relationships described add up to a multi-dimensional insight to the world of a very formidable and experienced sex worker.
From childhood traumas to middle-age doubts with literally extraordinary sexual experiences detailed in between, the honesty and no-holds barred approach will at various times have the empathetic reader reaching for tissues to wipe aware tears of sorrow and laughter as the story progresses.
There will definitely be more to that story.

I admire the honesty of MT in this autobiographical account of her childhood and the impact it had on her sexuality.
