A new series by the ever so amazing Carly Phillips? Uh, YES PLEASE! Sexy, sweet, and utterly enticing, Ms. Phillips brings ALL THE HEAT to the first installment of her new Bodyguard Bad Boys Series. This is a fast-paced second chance romance that will leave you with complete satisfaction. This author never fails to bring true romance to the table, giving her fans exactly what they want with every new release she sends our way. As I turned the last page all I could think of was that I wanted more! We meet the characters that will be involved in this series and there is so much potential there, and I’m excited to see where Ms. Phillips goes from here.

“There’s no chance of me running anywhere but into your arms.”

Ben Hollander got burned by Summer Michelle in the past, but she needs protection on her latest venture. Being the honorable man that he is (and the fact that he was the only option) he sets off to protect the up-and-coming pop star, the woman who he thought he had a sizzling connection with all those years ago. When these two flames were reunited, I wanted nothing but a quick happily ever after, but of course there are obstacles to go through first. So page by page, I rooted for these two...rooted through their stubbornness and their misconceptions. Rooted for them through their smokin’ hot sexual reunion and when the feelings started to burn brighter, I couldn’t have been more excited for the two of them. These two really gave me a run for my money. Their scorching chemistry and sexual tension was combustible and addicting.

ROCK ME is a GREAT fall romance that you will want to pick up as soon as possible. It’s a really good start to what I’m sure is going to be another fantastic alpha-driven contemporary romance series.

Summer Michelle and Ben Hollander were involved four years ago. He was assigned as a bodyguard to the reality show she co-starred on. Once their affair was revealed, Ben was let go from his job and had to fight his way up from under the cloud of shame. Angry at his circumstances, he vowed to never again become involved with a client. So what happens when he’s tasked with guarding the one woman who could tempt him to break this rule?

I’m a huge fan of Carly Phillips’ writing. I’ll literally pick up anything she produces. She has a knack for creating heroes who are charismatic, alpha, heartwarming and real. Her heroines are always sweet, wholesome, spunky and likable. Together with an interesting and uncomplicated plot, her stories make for a few hours of enjoyable escape. Rock Me was an amazingly sweet second chance romance and I loved the connection these two characters shared. Ben was still understandably upset with Summer but once she shared the truth with him, these two couldn’t resist coming together again. The fact that this was the most erotic and explicit story I’ve ever read from this author may have something to do with why I liked it so much.

If you like your heroes strong and sexy and your heroines bold and feisty, plus the added bonus of this being a second chance romance didn’t hurt, then I recommend one-clicking this book today! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ;) xo

Rock Me by Carly Phillips is a sweet, sexy fast paced second chance romance that centers on an upcoming pop star and her bodyguard. With Phillips sizzling prose, she has readers rooting for Ben Hollander as he reunites with Summer Michelle, his former flame.

With Summer Michelle’s rising popularity, new threats have been made and TV networks are worried about her safety for a singing competition and so they hired Ben Hollander as her bodyguard. Four years ago Summer and Ben had a 'thing' when he was working as security at the reality talent show she was in. They were both almost in love, but something happened and he got fired. And now they kinda hate each other. Also, he's her new bodyguard! ☺
But being this close to each other 24/7 brings back all the amazing feelings from before and it doesn't take long for their 'thing' to start again. Even though Ben swore he would never let pleasure get in the way of business again! ☺

I really enjoyed reading it! It was sweet and sexy and a bit mysterious and suspensy.
It was also a bit confusing. There were so many people (friends and parents and others) named by full name and what they do and where we know them from and how they are connected with us and what happened in their lives and bla bla ... no idea why it bothered me so much. I know this is the first book in the bodyguard series, so obviously we need to meet the future books' characters. But there were so many other people in here - I felt like I had missed 2 complete series of books - stories about those characters, that have been told already. It was weird. I almost DNF'd the book a few times. And I hate that - I love Carly's books!
BUT - I kept on reading, because I reallly liked Ben and Summer! And it WAS a really adorable second chance romance! And I also really want to read the books about the other bodyguards!!!!

ROCK ME was a very sweet & sexy 2nd chance love story!!! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Ben - this one is already guarding MY body☺!!

Book Review For: ROCK ME by Carly Phillips 'ROCK ME' by Carly Phillips is the First Book in a New Series called "Bachelor Bad Boys". This is the story of Ben Hollander and Summer Michelle. Ben was Summer body guard about 4 years ago and they had a affair/relationship. Which is against Ben's company's rules for their bodyguards. So he was fired when word leaked about them. Ben assumed it was Summer that had told and gotten him fired. So he up and left her and never took any of her calls. Now 4 years later Ben works for another company where he is more like family group and he values them giving him a second chance. When this company gets a contract to be a body guard to Summer, Ben is the only man left to go. Summer is shocked to see Ben again after he up and left her. Ben wouldn't even take her calls so she could apologize for what happen to him. Summer is pretty sure that Tawny Renee a girl she though was her friend turned him in and gave news of their affair. Ben has a pretty big chip on his shoulder toward Summer and tries to make this just a job between them. But neither can forget how they felt together. This was a great second chance at love story!"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2H... https://twitter.com/soapsrus68 https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookR... http://booklikes.com/bloghttps://roma... https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebo...

Bodyguard books are my favorite!! I love the whole mysterious, can't be found, protect me heroine that relies on her bodyguard to protect her. The meek female that just throws themselves at the feet of their bodyguard to take care of her. This Carly Phillips book? NOT THAT BOOK!

Ben Hollander now works for a "family" firm, Alpha Security, where he is contracted out to be a bodyguard. But this assignment is a little different. This assignment had personal connections to him. Having been a bodyguard on the set with the up and coming starlet, Summer Michelle, he'd found her hard to resist and had a fling, actually causing him to lose the job. However, the stars aligned and he was now to be her bodyguard.

Both Summer and Ben realize quickly the past is surely not the past and watching these two go at it was hilarious. Neither wanted to give, both being headstrong, and watching the fire fly kept me turning. I love the groundwork this laid for the series and can't wait for the next one!!

Rock Me is the first in a new series about bad boy body guards. This is Ben and Summer's story. It's a cute second chance story about two people who were destined to be together. When Summer starts getting threats during a competition, Ben is hired to be her personal body guard. He is still resentful of how things went down years before, but he is a professional and can definitely keep it that way.

I thought this was a cute story. Both Ben and Summer were genuinely likable characters. Their chemistry was off the charts. There was a little mystery, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Still it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the romance. This was a fun story and one I recommend checking out.

I am a faithful reader of anything that Carly Phillips writes. I mean, not to get all sappy and nostalgic, but it was her book, Sealed With A Kiss, that sealed (yes, pun intended) my fate in loving romance novels for the rest of my life. Everything I have picked up of hers I have enjoyed greatly but sadly, the day has come where I did not like one of her books as much I thought I would.

In her newest series, Carly Phillips is introducing us to the Bodyguard Bad Boys, which sounds ridiculously hot as I assume it is intended to be. The first to make our acquaintance is Ben Hollander, who has such a sexy name I warmed up to him from the very beginning ;). Ben has been a bodyguard for quite some time and has always performed his job with the utmost professionalism, until he crossed paths with Summer Michelle. Unfortunately, their time together did not end on a good note but that's ok because fate dealt them a second chance. That, and Summer, an upcoming popstar looking to make her big break, is being threatened. You can probably guess who is assigned to be her bodyguard

It was so great getting a look into the world of this series and also see what is to come, but I think the reason why I didn't like this book as much as I thought I would is because I just couldn't connect to the main couple. Don't get me wrong there was definite chemistry between the two despite their rather strained reunion. But, the further I got into the story, the more interested I was in the secondary characters than Summer and Ben. As crazy as this may sound and it does coming from me, the physical aspect of Summer and Ben's reconnection became too much for me. And, I get that since this is their second chance there really isn't much get to know each other moments but I liked the Summer and Ben's moments together when they weren't ripping each other's clothes off. Add in the fact that the book was shorter than I was expecting and it seemed that a good amount of the book was about how Summer and Ben were "reconnecting" with one another. Overall, I would have liked the pace and storyline to be stretched out a little more because it all wrapped up way too quickly for me.

Despite my feelings towards Rock Me, it in no way dissuades me from continuing with this series because like I said before, this girl is a faithful reader to all things Carly Phillips. This book wasn't my cup of tea but I still enjoyed it enough to be eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

Now, if you are in the mood for bodyguards and love yourself a second chance romance with a good helping of bedroom action, then I recommend you pick up Rock Me.

I enjoyed this book. It's the first in a new series, and I'm looking forward to more sexy bodyguard goodness!

Summer Michelle is a pop star. Well, "star" might be stretching it at the moment. She competed on, and was a co-winner, on a reality TV show 4 years ago. But, since then, she's mostly focused on her writing and recording, along with some voiceover work to pay her bills. But, she's about to catch her big break. The biggest pop star in the industry, Jade, needs an opening act for her new tour, and it's between Summer, and her rival/co-winner from the reality show, Tawny. While they are competing for the slot, some threats have come in against Summer, so Jade's team hires a bodyguard for both Summer and Tawny, just in case.

Ben Hollander loves his work as a bodyguard. Though he made a huge mistake 4 years ago and lost his job, he's now found a great boss, and a great company to work for that's more like a big family. What was that mistake you ask? Well, he was working security for a reality TV show, and fell into bed with one of the stars, Summer. When news came out about their relationship, apparently from Summer herself, he was fired for breach of contract, and he never spoke to Summer again. She tried calling, etc, but he wasn't willing to talk to her. Not the best way to handle things, maybe, but he was angry. He learned young to know better when it comes to women, after watching his mom and dad's relationship implode, due to his mother's cheating ways. He vows never to let the personal affect his work again. It's too important to him. When he finds out he has to guard Summer, he's angry at first, but then he's worried about his control where she's concerned.

Ben and Summer had a lot of miscommunication between them that had to be dealt with. They both have issues with their families, so both of them are quite on their own, and they found comfort in each other. Neither of them can manage to keep a professional distance between themselves, and when they finally give in, the chemistry was fantastic. I really enjoyed them both coming to terms with their attraction, in between bouts of pushing away, etc. Since they already had a history, things moved pretty quickly, but it was still realistic, and I enjoyed the pacing.

The suspense plot was pretty light, and was related to who was threatening Summer, and why. It was well done, and though I suspected the culprit, it took me a while to be sure, and I still had no idea why they were doing it, so I appreciated the big reveal. I really enjoyed seeing a bit about Ben's boss and coworkers, since they will be featured in upcoming books in the series. They were interesting and entertaining, and it appears the next book is about one of the bodyguards and his daughter's nanny! I love those types of stories, so I am so here for it.

I liked this story, and I'm excited for more from this group. This author has a way of pulling you into her worlds, and I have really enjoyed all the books I've read by her.

Rock Me is the first in a new series and I really enjoyed it. It was a quick and fun second chance at romance read with a good balance of drama and heat along with a little mystery and suspense woven into it. All of that combined kept me turning the pages to see if Ben and Summer would let go of the issues of the past and get their HEA while keeping her safe.

I loved Summer. She is hardworking, determined and thankful for all that she has, but she isn’t a diva in anyway and in fact has a bit of an aversion to becoming one. But for all her confidence, she did have a vulnerable side that would come out and it made her feel approachable.

I ended up loving Ben, but boy did it take a bit to get there. He is all kinds of smexy protective alpha male, but his past weighs heavily on him and it’s caused him to shut down, which in turn has him acting in ways that had me wanting to smack some sense into him. But, as the story progresses and he has certain epiphanies, we start to see the compassionate and caring man that lies underneath.

Ben and Summer’s second chance romance was all I thought it would be and yet there were a few twists thrown in that were a pleasant surprise and had me really enjoying their journey to their HEA. It was equal parts smexy, sweet and frustrating but not overly angsty in any way. I liked the way the issues between them were resolved and really liked where they were at in the end.

First books in a new series tend to be information dumps as we meet the majority of the characters who will populate the world in future books along with giving the reader a good understanding of the world the author has come up with and can sometimes be overwhelming. But in this case Ms. Phillips did a great job at introducing all of this to us by weaving it into and throughout the story and I’m definitely looking forward to spending more time in this world and getting to know everyone better!

The entertainment industry is not for the faint of heart. Summer found out fast that there are no best friends when they can be your competition. Now that she is facing the same competitor that really stabbed in the back last time, she has to be careful. Tawny is out to beat her at any cost. Tawny's manager Michael is always friendly and professional... but can Summer really trust anyone?

Death threats, vandalism, and more have only scared everyone involved in this competition for the opening act of superstar singer Jade Glow. So, this is how Ben becomes her bodyguard. He has been her protector before which resulted in a scandal. Can they possibly keep their hands off each other and remain professional?

I really enjoy a story where romance is combined with a mystery to be resolved. When lives are in danger it gets even more exciting. I know, I am a thrill seeker that way. I started reading this book and did not put it down until the very end. I NEEDED to know who was the culprit and how Ben and Summer were going to handle all this turmoil. Definitely, recommend this book for all of you who love to sit at the edge of your chair while reading a book.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

Sweetly sexy, heart pounding action, emotionally engaging, fast paced second chance romance. Perfect late night in bed reading that will give you sweet dreams.

Summer Michelle is a sexy up and coming rock star in need of protection and Ben Hollander is strong, smart and sexy alpha male bodyguard hired by the studio to protect Summer. Determined never to mix business and pleasure again (a lesson Summer taught him) he is not so sure he can be her bodyguard again. Sparks fly, attraction is fought, loved every emotionally gripping twist in this romantic adventure. Looking forward to more Bodyguard Bad Boys.

Second chance romances where there is a messy past are my favorites. Let me explain, as that probably makes no sense, as by definition a second chance means there is a breakup, or a near miss, in the past for the couple.

Summer and Ben were together, and by being together were breaking the rules. They knew it, and they accepted it. And, then they got caught and Ben was blamed for what happened, he was fired, and he believed Summer was responsible for it all. But, darn it, when they meet, he still wants her...even though he is not sure he even likes her, at all, and wants to see her as just a job, and really wishes that he was anywhere else.

I love that. I love the tension, and the angst that past creates.

This didn't disappoint. Add in that it is written by Carly Phillips and the pacing is strong, overall (although a little fast at the end, I think) and you like the characters, and the connection and the sex are hot...and, well, this was an enjoyable read that I enthusiastically recommend.

It should be noted that I LOVE THIS COVER .

Okay, moving on. What a great second-chance story this turned out to be! It was sweet and sexy with just the right amount of angst thrown in to make them both work for that second chance at love <3 The pace of the story was very well done ... fast but not to fast. Excellent push-pull between Ben and Summer which made their chemistry jump from the pages. I REALLY liked this one!

I like this story and the characters. It is a sweet, second-chance romance. I read the second book in this series last year and I feel like I read this one but it isn't on my Kindle. It is possible that I purchased the book at an author signing. Either way, I like the series. I hope Ms. Phillips comes back with the rest of the Alpha Security team in the future.

4.5 Smashing Stars!

There are a few things I can always count on when I dive into a Carly Phillips novel. First, I will be dazzled by a STRONG, SWOONY HERO who will steal my breath and make my heart race. Second, the sex will be PANTY MELTING HOT and the romantic feels will give me TINGLY BUTTERFLIES. And last but not least, the writing will be so EXHILIRATING that I will be enraptured from the very first page until the sigh worthy finale!

Well, once again, Ms. Phillips delivered! I love the premise of her new Bodyguard Bad Boys series, featuring the big, strappingly handsome men of the Alpha Security team. Like what's more tantalizing than cavemen protectors who are tasked with safeguarding beautiful, vibrant women who keep these manly men on their toes? And this debut installment, ROCK ME, struck all the right chords!! I DEVOURED this sweet, swoony, sinfully sexy second chance romance! There's the perfect amount of electrifying passion, pulse pounding peril, palpable push-pull, compelling emotional strife and edge of your seat excitement throughout to keep the adrenaline flowing!!!

And holy hotness….the high octane chemistry between the tall, dark and delicious Ben Hollander and vivacious pop starlet Summer Michelle is OFF THE CHARTS!! This latest bodyguard assignment throws the two former flames together again when Ben takes on a bodyguard gig to protect Summer 24/7 when she receives creepy threats by an anonymous perpetrator who is trying pressure her to drop out of a pop music contest that could catapult her career to mega stardom. As far as Ben is concerned, Summer had screwed him over once before on a similar job four years earlier and he is NOT about to let her get her hooks into him again. But not all is as it seems and, regardless of what transpired between them, he isn’t about to let his ex come to harm’s way on his watch.

As expected being in such close proximity tests both their self-control to the max. At first, Ben dashes Summer’s hopes for a do-over when he makes it perfectly clear they won’t be mixing business with pleasure but some sweet temptations are impossible to resist!! Before long they are hitting the sheets—again—and ROCKING EACH OTHER’S ENTIRE WORLDS! But are Ben and Summer both in it for keeps or will they be forced to go their separate ways once the danger passes?

This book captivated me from START to FINISH and I fell head over heels on love with this darling duo. Swoooon!! Broody Ben is so yumalicious!! He’s the perfect blend of dominant alpha male and sensitive, doting lover. His smoking hot sex appeal, gruff tenderness and noble heart made me melt into a puddle! And I found Summer to be equally irresistible. She’s gorgeous and bubbly, with a strong independent streak, and is not afraid to go after what she wants! Which includes luring her studly bodyguard into her bed!!!! But she also possesses a down to earth charm and innate sweetness that belied her vibrant “pop princess” persona. These two truly generate enough sparks to light up the sky on the Fourth of July, and their erotic interludes are BLAZING HOT!

I was also swept up in the emotional depth of this story too. Although not overly angsty, my heart did constrict during their more emotionally charged encounters and these two DEFINITELY have some “unfinished business” to work through. Ben’s walls are up because of their romantic past, which ties into his tumultuous family history, and placing his trust in his reignited feelings for Summer does not come easy. But she is determined to make amends and staying detached from this beautiful, talented, sultry woman is far from easy.

Meanwhile, Summer’s drive and ambition have come at a great personal cost to her and the emotional toll is overwhelming times. Ben sees through her disguise to the achingly lonely starlet hidden beneath the sunshiny smile and, despite the boundaries he has “tried” to set in place, vows to not only to protect her at ALL costs but reassure her that she’s not alone. I loved how these two connected not only physically but on a soul-deep level as well!!! And OMG the ending was PURE PERFECTION! Once again Carly Phillip made me weep tears of joy!

Bottom Line: ROCK ME hit all the right notes and was a spectacular start to what's sure to be a blockbuster series!!

A couple of weeks ago Carly Phillips offered one of her older books for free on most websites, and I jumped at the one-click opportunity. With Rock Me , Ms. Phillips tells a sweet, second chance story that I enjoyed.

Summer Michelle is on the verge of getting her big break after her stint on a reality music show. From an early age, Summer and her parents work for her big break. Now Summer is so close she can taste it. However, she is also receiving threats that make the sponsors concerned. For her safety, they contract with Alpha Security for protection.

Ben Hollander is assigned the job which doesn’t make him happy. He lost his last position the reality show because of his fling with Summer was against the rules. Unfortunately, Summer watched him walk away, which only fans his anger and determination to never get emotionally involved with a woman again. He watched his mother break his father; it is what women do in his mind. Unfortunately, when he is close to Summer, his heart doesn’t listen to his head, and he soon remembers everything he likes about this woman.

Rock Me was first published in 2017. I read many of Carly Phillips’ books over the years. Her ability to create characters with dynamic personalities that jump off the page makes me come back for more. Ben and Summer are delightful characters. They are both passionate and determined to advance their careers while questioning their personal choices and hurting inside because of past events.

I love the secondary characters too. I’m a little surprised that there are only two books in the Bodyguard Bad Boy series. There are so many support characters that intrigue me. I read the second book a year or so ago. There is an excerpt at the end of Rock Me that triggered my memory. I hope Ms. Phillips will come back to this series in the future.

There is a little suspense, but honestly, it is easy to figure out who is behind the threats. There is a bit extra added to the intrigue, some family issues all around, but Rock Me is more romance and righting wrongs than anything else. If you have the opportunity to get this book for free or whether you pay the full price, I’m sure you will enjoy Ben and Summer’s story.

I must start out by saying that seriously that cover earned 5 stars all by itself, even if I hadn't read the FANTASTIC story. IT'S SUPER HOT HOT HOT! Now that I got that out of the way, let me get on with my fan girl gushing. Summer Michelle is on the verge of stardom, when she starts getting threats from an unknown source. So she's given a bodyguard although she's not sure that she needs one. But she never thought that the one that got away would show up to guard her, and now she's hoping that they can talk about their past. Ben Hollander messed up with Summer the first time he protected her, and he got burned, so now he's determined to not mix business with pleasure ever again. And while his heart hardened, he never got over her, so being in close quarters isn't helping at all. That's all I'm saying about that. Now I'll get on with my feelings...I LOVED LOVED LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS STORY! The fast paced storyline kept me on the edge of my seat with heart racing. Summer & Ben were great together, especially since their chemistry was palpable, and when it exploded, flames shot out of my kindle trying to destroy my panties. Carly Phillips has such a talented writing style, making for an addiction that's worse than my coffee addiction, so I will NEVER EVER get enough! Her twists made for some loud f-bomb dropping moments, as I didn't see the big reveal coming! I CANNOT WAIT to read more of this awesome new series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Summer Michelle is on the verge of making it big in the music industry. She is on a mission to win a competition to be an opening act for a big star. Summer is competing against a former contestant she was on another reality tv show with.

Things get heated up and it seems someone is trying to harm Summer, so a bodyguard is needed, however she never thought she would ever see Ben Hollander again after 4 years. After their short and intense relationship while she was on the reality tv show.

Ben Hollander is a professional bodyguard. He was not very happy when he was assigned to protect Summer again after the intense relationship they had in the past. He feels she got him fired from his job, and refused to talk to her to after she tried to contact him and explain what happened. Now 4 years later he is her bodyguard again and refuses to fall for her once more.

Bodyguard Bad Boys series book #1

Fun. I always have so much fun in any world Carly Phillips conjures up! This brand new series is just as delicious as some of my other favourites by this author.

Summer and Ben have a past. He's been burned by her, or so he thinks, and she feels awful for how things ended between them. One of the things that I appreciated from the get go, was that the misunderstanding between them was cleared up quickly. A simple conversation made things better. Sure, they still had issues and obstacles standing in their way, but there wasn't this simmering animosity that often annoys me in romance novels.

Ben is Summer's bodyguard. She's an up and coming pop star. This makes for a lot of up close and personal interactions between the hero and heroine...wink wink. I loved the dynamic between these two. After the mess of their past was cleared away they had an easy affection for each other. Don't get me wrong, there was lots of inner angst going on, but the chemistry was always noticeable. Speaking of chemistry...Ben seems like he'd be a lot of fun in the sweaty sex department.

I can already tell that this series is going to be like a "family saga". The characters aren't related by blood, but their friendships make them family by choice. There's an easy camaraderie between Ben and his friends/colleagues. I enjoyed the parts where I got a peek into Ben's life outside his job.

I really enjoyed the easy flow of this book. The plot pulled me in from the first page and held on tight until the end. I'm already looking forward to the next few books in the series! The set up is there and I'm already intrigued. Rock Me was a fantastic start to this series!

I totally loved reading Rock Me, the first book in Carly Phillips new Bodyguard Bad Boys series. This is a second chance story between bodyguard Ben Hollander and pop star Summer Michelle. Summer’s stardom is poised on the brink as she competes to be the opening act for a rock star. Threats have been made against the two competitors and Ben is assigned to be the bodyguard for Summer and to keep her from danger. Part of this assignment is a déjà vu situation since Ben lost a previous bodyguard position after getting involved with Summer when she was on televised competition. However, this time around it is so much more difficult for Ben to keep his hands off of her. Despite being a few years later, these two continue to have off the chart chemistry. These two need figure out how to continue their relationship if Summer wins the competition and Ben is no longer her bodyguard.

Ms. Phillips is a wonderful storyteller which she demonstrated in this story. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting it down. This is a great book with plenty of sex, romance and suspense. I highly recommend this book to other readers and am looking forward to the next book in this series, Tempt Me.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Ben Hollander works as a body guard at Alpha Security and loves his job. He was very lucky when Dan Wilson hired him after he was fired from his last job four years ago when he got involved with a contest on the reality show he was working security for. He was in love with contestant Summer Michelle and was shocked and hurt when she reported him. Imagine his shock four years later when his next assignment is none other than guarding Summer Michelle 24/7! Ben really does not want this assignment, but he is the only body guard available and reluctantly agrees.

When Ben and Summer meet up, it's very obvious that their sexual chemistry is still loud and present. Ben tries to keep his job professional and keep his hands off of Summer but of course that doesn't last long. When the threat on Summer's life escalates, Ben is more than determined to keep her safe.

The more time these two spent together, the more they start opening up to each other and start to realize a few things. It was fun watching these two find their way back to each other. I really loved Ben. He was just the total alpha package! Summer was sweet and determined to be a pop star and was just really looking for someone to love her. Overall this was a great start to a new series by Carly Phillips. I'm really looking forward to Austin's story in Tempt Me.

4* read.
This is the first book in this new series. A fast paced second chance romance this will pull you in and keep you addicted till the last page. I'm a huge fan of this author's writing style so I was really looking forward to reading this.
It really engages you from the first chapter, you want to keep reading and finding out what happens next. A sweet second chance romance with characters you will instanly connect and fall in love with Summer and Ben were the perfect couple for me.
As its just the start of a new series the author was trying to introduce us to all these supporting characters to, who I surmise will get their own books, but I did feel it was a bit overwhelming been introduced to all these different characters through one book. Still a great read though it just lost me a bit sometimes.
Great start to this series, I'm looking forward to more in this series.

~ 5 It's All About the Bodyguard Stars ~

Rock Me is an fun and enjoyable second chance romance with the musician background to it. It is a quick read, meaning that we get right into the story from the beginning, but nothing was rushed. That’s one of the main things I love about a Carly Phillips book, she gets to the point with her stories and really doesn’t drag anything out.

This story has a little bit of everything I look for in a 5 star read. There is some laughter, love, suspense and some really steamy times too. It was the perfect mix!!!! Just the right combination to keep the reader turning the pages.

Rock Me is the first book in Carly’s newest Bodyguard Bad Boys Series. I think she is off to a fantastic start with this series. I thoroughly enjoyed Rock Me. I loved that the musician in the story was our heroine. A refreshing switch in my opinion. I also liked that it wasn’t a Rock Star romance with all the extra curricular activities we usually see in one of these books. Like I said before, this is also a second chance romance. Ben (the Hero) is a bodyguard who was burned by the heroine of the story years ago. But now he is hired again to cover her security detail and to say he wasn’t happy is an understatement. Determined to keep the job the priority and not be swayed by Summer again, he builds some walls around himself. Will Summer be able to knock them down?? What happens when Summer is offered the chance of a lifetime?? Can these two get it right the second time around??

I want to say that I believe these books in this series are going to be standalone novels. We get a complete story with this one and there is NO cliffhanger. I am guessing that this will be standalone with interconnected characters, but new storylines and couples with each book. I loved how the epilogue to this book finished Ben and Summer’s story but also introduced the next Hero to come. I am looking forward to Austin’s book….it’s a single dad romance (I love those)

I would again recommend this book to anyone who likes a second chance romance or a Rock Star story. If you are a fan of Carly Phillip’s then you will want to jump into this new series….It’s off to a great start!!!!

What a hot and fantastic start to this new series by Carly Phillips! Rock Me is the first book in the new Bachelor Bad Boys series and it's hooked me right away and I did not want to put this book down!

Ben Hollander is a bodyguard who works for Alpha Security. He works with a group of people that are more like family than just colleagues. When new assignments are handed out, Ben's boss knows that he isn't going to be thrilled with his new charge, but he was the only one available for the job. When Ben learns that he is going to be guarding someone from his past, it's clear very quickly that he's not sure how he's going to handle it.

Summer Michelle is on the verge of having everything she wants. She could be the opening act on tour for one of the biggest artists in the music business, but she has to beat out another woman who she's been competing with for years. The two were on the same reality show years ago and the competitive spirit of the other woman doesn't seem to have lessened over the years. While Summer is being threatened, she doesn't really understand the severity until her new bodyguard, and a huge part of her past, walks back into her life.

Needless to say things didn't end well between Summer and Ben the first time around when their short affair ended when someone ratted them out and Ben was fired from his job. What is very clear once they are around one another again is that they both feel the same way they did years ago. They are insanely attracted to one another and it doesn't seem those feelings are going away. With Ben in a similar position this time will he be able to put his feelings ahead of his job or will duty win in the end?

I enjoyed the characters in this book, the pace of the story was great and I also liked all of the supporting characters. I'm definitely interested in what is going to happen with the other members of Alpha Security and if they are all going to get their happily ever afters!

I would highly recommend checking out this new series. You won't be sorry!

Great start to what is sure to be an amazing series by the very talented Carly Phillips. This author has been a favorite of mine for a long time and this book is an example of why. I have yet to find a book by Carly that I haven't loved yet. There is never a question in my mind to read one or not because the answer will always be a huge YES.

Ben and Summer's road wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. He has some issues resulting from his past and she is trying to get through the walls that he is throwing up. Doesn't help that their past didn't end on a good note. I really loved reading their journey and look forward to the rest in this series.

Rock Me (Bachelor Bad Boys) by Carly Phillips

Carly Phillips novels are not just a pleasure, they border on obsession.  Anytime an author can pull me in at the first page and hold my attention until the last word, they deserve a standing ovation.  Summer and Ben put the sizzle in a tale of passion, danger and romance.  These characters didn't just exist, they lived in excess.   Fast, furious and intoxicating is the best way to describe the power of Rock Me.
