Being a good girl has been engrained in Caricia Edwards' psyche since she was an impressionable little girl. Her mother was sure to let her know the importance of self-love and respect. Those lessons brought her a long way. Recently graduating from college with an education degree and certificate to teach, she realizes just how lonely her life has been. While honoring the things her mom taught her, she finds herself wanting to be loved by someone other than herself. In walks Remo, the man whose present situation looks complicated, but whose presence stirs her to the core. She does her best to resist him, but can she? Remo Pierre's upbringing was one of simplicity. He grew up in a loving two-parent family where his father taught him to always treat his mother and sister with respect and that his mother is a Queen. So, being charming and respectful to women came easily to Remo. Never being a party animal or player, he always yearned for what his parents had, but hadn't found his perfect complement. A chance encounter with Caricia changes all that. While he has difficult circumstances, it doesn't hinder his desire to make her his. Love is something magical, especially at Christmas time. Remo and Caricia both realize that there is something special between them, even without knowing one another, however, their perfect attraction to one another doesn't come without obstacles. Will they decide to let love win or allow those obstacles to defeat their possibilities?
*This is a standalone novel in the B. Love Publications "Say He" series. The books can be read in any order, and the characters/stories do not intertwine.*
Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.
This was my first time reading a Monica Walters' book and you came through! The amount of tea spilled in this book huntyyy I was not ready lol I was glad to see Remo and Reesh fight for their love. I wanna know what happens with Ans and Jayden tho! 👀👀
Gon Girl! Reesh's Got a man plus one! I couldn't put this book down. It was nothing short of amazing. I wanted to slap fire from Vaughn's mouth for that comment he made. He tried it though. Memo dang near got choked out for making my baby beg and putting her through that bs. I'm glad things worked out for their parents and they learned forgiveness. All is well in the land. Good Job lady!
I love the kismet vibe of it all!!! There was love, there was scandal and drama...the perfect combination of all three!!! I love love loved it! Plus, it was sexy!! A good steamy holiday story!!
Loved it from beginning to the end .even though a secret from the past it still didnt make them love each other no less. Remo and Carissa perfect for each other but the part I loved him the most is when she was talking about her treasure. Keep up the great work.
MMMANNNN, what’s the chances of her mom and his dad having a last relationship, that’s some tea for you. Like what would you do, especially, if that one some short years ago. I don’t know what I would do. It jut goes to show you what’s for you is for you. I love how honest Remo and Caricia were with each other, no secrets. Can’t wait t read more from this author.
One of my favorite revelations about this story is the lack of extravagance. So many romance novels either have a millionaire hero or heroine. Even though this story was fast paced I thoroughly enjoyed it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When Remo and Caricia met it was like fate stepped in. They were meant to be. It was shocking finding out that both parents knew each other. It almost cost them their relationship. Happy Remo and Caricia got backed together.
Remo and Ansley had all the right tools to be the perfect couple, with the exception of his father and her mother's past thing. It took me a minute to get past that bit of news. A good story otherwise.
There was so much going on with these families! Lawd! But I do love the purity of Remo and Caricia’s hearts and love for one another. I’m glad the families started to heal because those secrets were definitely killing all involved.
Oh my goodness Remo and Caricia was so good together and from the moment they laid eyes on each other you knew there was chemistry but when the ish was hitting the fan I had to clutch my invisible pearls and pray for the best but I’m so happy everything worked in their favor. Next up Jayden and Ansley it could be good romance over there... Definitely 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from beginning to end
This was so cute. I love a good romance story. I want to be just like Remo and Reesha when I come across “my one.” I need to just know and feel it. They were definitely soul mates. Everyone around them could see and feel it. I love a happy ending. I didn’t want it to end. And I just love, love Ghetto Marsha LoL she was my fav!
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Demo and Caricia are a great match. Their family dynamics are complicated. However, their love yielded a great relationship. I recommend this book.
I really enjoyed reading this story about Remo and Caricia. Very well written and the character development was great. There was no denying the instant connection these two had. Their relationship was definitely put to the test when family secrets were revealed but through it all they were able to overcome them and have that happy ending.
Okay first let me say I was super stoked to see this story took place in BMT! That's my hometown! Great story! The love between Remo and RiRi was tangible! I'm so happy they didn't let somebody else mistake become their own.
Awesome book.. I loved Caricia and Remo.. their attraction for one another was off the chain. What a coincidence how his father and her mother knew each other. Then his sister and Jayden too. I definitely recommend reading.
OMG I loved it.... I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Obstacles was thrown their way but because the true love that they have for one another out weighed everything that was coming their. Zoey was mad max lol
I love stories about soulmate's. I enjoyed Remo and Carissa story. Fighting for love overcoming difficult situations is what love is about. Monica great job!
The book started off ok, but quickly went to what the? Everything moved quickly, Carcia calling Remo her boyfriend in their first date. Dry humping on the second but you're a virgin....really? I continued to skim because I wanted to know what wiggle happen only to read about family drama causing book drama. Then Carcia decided to wail and cry, after dating for what 2 weeks, because the family drama broke them up. So I kept reading the unnecessary drama that insued amongst the characters to realize I don't care about the end. A great majority of he conversations were juvenile and cringe worthy. I was hoping for a good romantic book written by an African American but was/am disappointed. In the end, the book had potential but was just too much for me.
I read "Only If You Let Me" first and was very intrigued to read Remo and Caricia's story after being introduced to them in Jayden and Ansley's story. This is a good love story and I'm glad that Remo didn't hold his father and Caricia's mom indiscretions against Caricia to stop them from being together. My mouth dropped open at Ansley when she put Jonathan on blast at her parents Christmas dinner. He was so wrong for all of his actions. I'm glad that Remo and Caricia got their HEA. I hope we get Kerry and Kareem's stories as well.
This was a beautiful Christmas story that had me gasping and clutching my imaginary pearls. Talk about skeletons falling out the closet. The story began as a typical love story, then the rollercoaster fueled by piping hot TEA started. I admire Remo's self control and love and respect for his mom. I could feel Caricia's hurt and pain (whew). As I make my way through Monica's catalogue, I continue to be amazed at how she comes up with these stories and then blesses readers with a spin off!!!
Side Note: I'm almost done with Only if You Let Me.
This was a cute read with a lot of drama and insta love. Secrets and not tying up lose ends can mess up lives and relationships. The ramifications of bad decisions can last for a long time and effect the people you love. Caricia was so young and innocent. She wanted a great Christmas and a good man was her wish. Remo was a respectable young man who was raised right and cherished his family. These two encountered each other and it was a wrap from there. Ex’s and a tangled history can get you caught up but it’s love that will get you through.
I enjoyed the story. The flow was good. It had just enough drama to keep the pages turning. I loved the relationship between Carica and her mother. It was beautiful and was a strength to the story. I actually forgot it was a Christmas story. Love, real love does last forever and so many of us miss that moment. So many people choose to stay in relationships and not be happy. Thanks for introducing us to Carica and Remo. Note: 4 star due to a few grammatical errors which didn’t change the flow.
This book was everything! Remo and Caricia literally fell for one another at first sight. So many obstacles were thrown their way, but their love outweighed it all! They were so connected to one another and in love with each other that they had to be together. I hope Jayden and Ansley manage to get their relationship off to a great start. Great job on this book!
