Amber Garza has had a passion for the written word since she was a child making books out of notebook paper and staples. Her hobbies include reading and singing. Coffee and wine are her drinks of choice (not necessarily in that order). She writes while blaring music, and talks about her characters like they're real people. She lives with her husband and two kids in Folsom, California, which is also home to another Amber Garza.

Ugh. This one was brutal. The writing was so choppy, so all over the place. I think the story had potential but the massive added crap filler made it ridiculous. I kept hoping something worthwhile would bring it around but it never did.

I ended up skimming the last few chapters because it was over long before it was actually over.

Bleh.

i felt this book took a while to really tell the story. most of it was the history of what happened before the alleged story took place. the ending was ok. nothing too exciting for me. i did find quite a few typos in the book as well.

This book had so much potential, I actually enjoyed the story line, I just wish it had come with a heads up that it had religion sprinkled throughout the book. Maybe that is what this author is known for, and I should have known, but it caught me by surprise.

A mystery, a whodunnit, a tale of second chances and new beginnings

Amy always chooses the bad boys. This Christian fiction novel has dual timelines and is sweet in some places, sad in others. It was a fast read at a little over 300 pages. I enjoyed the read.

I didn’t care for this book. The writing was SO different than in “When I Was You”. Seemed to be a lot of rambling about the character’s thoughts and opinions that had absolutely nothing to do with the story.
