Powder Burn (Book 8) Kill: Two (Book 9) Unleashed (Book 10)

It is almost two years since Lacklan walker, veteran Captain with the British SAS, helped Carmen Vazquez escape from the clutches of the Sinaloa Cartel in Arizona. He never expected to hear from her again, and he certainly never expected to hear from her brother. So when Lacklan receives a text message claiming to be from Charlie Vazquez, saying that he is in New York, that his life is in danger and that he needs help, Lacklan is intrigued, to say the least.

But when Lacklan gets to New York, the mystery only deepens - and the more he investigates, the deeper it gets. Charlie has vanished without a trace, and so have his closest friends: Zack the mathematical genius whose brain works with the speed of a computer, Bran whose memory is beyond photographic, and Hans and Hattie, whose powers of empathy and analysis seem almost supernatural.

Who are they? Where have they gone? And what have they done with Charlie Vazquez…?

And then again, who is Dr Olga Lucia Salcedo - The extraordinarily beautiful lecturer at Columbia university, whose relationship with Charlie seems to have been more than just mere mentoring…?

The hits keep coming...

9. No surprise Lacklan’s marriage to Abi wasn’t meant to be. Good story involving destruction of Omega II in Europe with Lacklan teaming up with Njal. 10. Galveston TX hosts most of this story, which is loosely connected to Omega and involves a crazy genius named Emily. 11. My least favorite story involves Njal again
but is a wearisome story culminating in a bloodbath in Mexico when General Ochoa - aka “Omicron” of Omega (who I would have sworn was identified as Michael Donnelly in an earlier book) is killed by Lacklan, destroying Omega III. 12. Tucson finds Lacklan still reluctant to return to his home after the Omega III story. Here, Lacklan destroys a drug ring in a morally questionable story.

Lacklan Walker is the GOAT!

Just when you think the story is getting flat, the Omega Series universe continues to expand with plots, subplots and ideas that are intricately woven into this tapestry of transformation. I am absolutely blown away by this book and the rich storylines. I am a fan of the Lacklan Walker club and am always stretched when reading his stories. His character development is astounding. I'm hooked!

Cleaning Up

It's a sad kind of story to think the drug epidemic here in the states is really this bad. It is though. I know it's just fiction and no Lack lan Walker is coming to clean up the cartels. I guess we can always hope. Great read and a tear jerker. Very well written and exciting story.
