Pros: To be closer to the Lord is always a plus. This book will help you get there. Most books are easy to forget, but that does not hold true for this one. I constantly reviewed several key devotionals. There is something there for all moods and settings. When I was up, I had something to lift me higher, and when I was down, there were key verses mentioned that uplifted me as well. I will purchase because I need to have this book in my arsenal.
Cons: None! A must for everyone looking to be closer to the Lord and in touch with oneself.

Powerful Prayers Devotional

These daily devotionals hold a long prayer, and verse to meditate on. Although I am sure this is a great devotional for some it was not what I was looking for. The prayers were nice but I felt they were focused more for new believers. It would be a nice gift for someone who is new to their faith.

I love this book! It is highly inspirational and makes a great devotional book. It includes a personal reflection, prayer, and scripture for each day. The book is scripturally sound and filled with stories of faith and hope.

I struggled to enjoy this book. I tried on numerous occasions to read it but it just didn't keep my interest. Maybe it's more about me than that book and the place where I am in my life. I will pick it up again and try again.

What I really enjoyed about this book (it's my 2nd time reading it) was how often a prayer would remind me of a worship song. Not only do we praise God in worship, but also with songs. It was very encouraging for me to read each lesson and be reminded of how awesome God truly is!

Anita C Donihue did great and beautiful work on this book. Here we found all types of prayers that can be used at any time of the day, she also adds like a reply from God to her; a lovely touch. What makes this book different from others is that it has the air of more of a prayer diary, with a lot of honesty and openness to God that I truly believe it could help many to get closer to God. I also like that this book can be used by new believers and old ones. The bible verse helps you have a foundation in our faith, the prayer to closer to Him this could be a great company for prayer time and a great gift.
