The best, comprehensive, from the ground-up intro to the basic concepts that I've come across. I wish I had started reading this last year when I first got started reading about astrology. Other 'cookbook' intro texts are okay, but something about this deep dive really hit a chord with me. The vulnerability of Leo. The value of the progressed sun. Mars representing fear. Jupiter representing 'fortunate' loss as much as gain. Sagittarian extremism. I love Steven Forrest's evolutionary approach to astrology, and his ability to break concepts down into relatable, memorable, content. Can't wait to read the other books in this series. Water is up next for me.

I am a fire sign so I very much liked this book. I am looking forward to the rest of them especially Earth as I have very little in Earth, and with Steven's practical advice I think I will be able to strengthen this element. To be honest, I am looking forward to them all because I have an abundance of both air and water. Can't wait for them to come out.

All of Steven’s book are good. Difficult. Because of what he challenges you to come up against. But really useful for self-improvement & a broader understanding of everything.

Astrology somehow got sold out over the course of history, but it’s where it’s all at.
It should be compulsory education for everyone.

A great reference and I always love Steven Forrest's evolutionary study of astrology. I look forward to reading the other 3. I'm learning that most of my Audible selections (ie nonfiction) aren't the best to listen to - lots of lists and references that I absorb more fully when I'm seeing the words on a page (or screen).

What can I say it’s Steven Forrest..

A lifetime of work and dedication can not be summarized succinctly nor judiciously in even the most lengthy of reviews.

To focus predominantly on the elements themselves in the currently presented depths is unprecedented. I do not believe we will understand its true value or significance as an aspirant…and since few people on this planet can digest this work from an experienced perspective, I will say this work is what can help us all get there…

I agree you should create a document that references your friends and family’s planetary & house placements before you reach part II of this work.

It is a definite reread as it took me until the end of the book to figure out just how to order the details of my chart and others so that I can consistently reference while reading, reflecting, cooking & listening; as I enjoyed doing so while reading this.

I’m grateful for this work and the enlightening insights throughout that will enable me to set myself, family, friends & clients free!

So far from disappointing I dare someone to right a bad review on it…pls be the ass who does that…we will all know 👀

I enjoyed the book for the in-depth discussion on the different fire elements in your birth chart. It is helpful to have your birth chart with you when reading the book for reference. You will be able to see where your zodiac signs, houses and planets are in your chart and be able to get more personalized information from the book. This book will continue to be a good reference book even after reading it. It is a long read. I would suggest reading it in sections, reviewing your own birth chart, make some notes, and do some pondering, before going on to the next section. This is a very informative book. I plan to continue the series with The Book of Earth next.

Steven Forrest is an incredibly intuitive and smart evolutionary astrologer. He's a prolific writer and has helped moved the study of astrology forward in his lifetime. This is the first book in a series of 4. He just completed the fourth book in the series. The Book of Fire is perfect for students curious about astrology as well as students who have been studying this vast subject for years. Steven is one of my favorite contemporary astrologers because he illuminates human behavior and choices in a lovely, compassionate and clear way. Learn from one of the best!

A lifetime of compulsive study of myself lead me to this book. The deeper I go, the more I see the language of astrology as one of the deepest truths of the universe. I lack the words I need to describe how this knowledge is changing my life, my understanding of myself, my loved ones, and the world around me.

Steven Forrest is a brilliant writer, deftly describing esoteric concepts through the astrological framework so we can all understand and apply them for our own inner understanding as well as to help others. Highly recommended!

This is my favourite way of internalizing the fundaments of the astrological language: grasping the archetypes with my heart instead of memorizing a bunch of tag words.
