Eulogy for the Dawn

Rate this book
Domaren constructs peace using his tools of war. He is a silencer of rebellions and a butcher of tyrants. To some, he is a champion defender. To others, he is a merciless eradicator. Together with his fellow Godknights, Domaren wields might and magic to carry out the will of the creators.

But the creators have suddenly gone silent.

As the last living Godknight present during the ancient rebellion known as Wrathlore, Domaren must rise above suspicions of deceit, faltering powers, and a world erupting in chaos if he hopes to learn the fate of the missing creators.

How do I describe this book?? I can't find the right words. Godknights, dragons, Orcs, elves... This book has it all. It's epic. Fully action packed. I loved the characters of Domaren and Brikana. They are a great duo. And Wiggly the dog 🐶 is so fun.
•You will sense a touch of Scandinavian and and Norse themes in here. And the description of the fantasy land is so beautiful, creative and detailed; which I think is also inspired from the Scandinavian regions.
•I really don't want to explain a lot and spoil the surprise but I must say I have never read an epic fantasy like this. Here is a simple summary for you,
‘The creators suddenly decided to wipe out all living beings and start fresh. The Godknights, who were chosen by the Creators, at the time of creation, to protect their people. Now, they have to make a choice. Should they stand with those who gave them power and immortality or with the people they are supposed to protect? ’
•Definitely a must read.

This book had the things I am looking for an epic fantasy: action-packed plot, engaging character dynamics, and a throughly described setting which I could easily dive into. The prologue set a promising start so I was immediately hooked. Also, this book included a wide variety of mythical races such as dragons, orcs, dwarves, and elves. Lastly, the writing style was straightforward and easy to follow. I will definitely look forward to the next book. Full review to come. 4/5 stars!
