Let’s shout out loud the reasons why this book deserves all the stars it can get.
This was one of
the most fascinating journey
I had had this year, and it was by the hands of Jane Anthony.
It seems almost impossible to translate into words all the emotions I faced while reading this piece of art. Because that’s what this book is; an incomparable, well written and beautiful piece of art.
Since the very first page, you understand how difficult it must had been for this author to write this book. It’s unbelievable to discover that Jane has an exceptional writing style that is capable of giving you goosebumps for how real her story and her characters were.
Even after I reached the end, I’m still amazed by this book. I went all in completely blind, and I think it was the best decision I made. The only thing I should warn you off is to be ready by all the amount of tears you will have to endure. Some were from joy, and others from sadness.
Meeting people is the easy part. It’s keeping them that takes work. A good relationship is worth fighting for.
One of the things I loved the most about Kat was her conviction. How determine she becomes when she sets her mind into something. Especially when it involves the people she loves.
Facing rejection and betrayal from her loved ones were the catalyst of her destruction. But when she finds Chase, all the pieces of the puzzle start to have a purpose and a meaning. Problem is that real life is never simple. There is pain, there are tears, there is heartbreak, but there is also love. Against all the adversities, Kat will learn how beautiful the reward can be if you keep fighting, if don’t give up.
Addicted hearts, bruised and battered and torn in half yet, when put together, make one seamless whole. It’s messy, and ugly, and sometimes grueling, but it’s ours, and that’s what makes it so perfect.
Our broken Chase seemed as if he had all figured out, as if he was the voice of reason, but when you start to lie to others and lie to yourself, there are only two options; you go down or you move forward.
I consider Chase a warrior. His arc is definitely a tough one. It’s raw, it’s painful but it’s also admirable. I think he just needed a purpose in his life. That one thing that could be the proof of his existence in this world and a constant lesson in which he could learn day after day that we are human, we make mistakes, but we always need to get up and do our best.
Loving Kat was his purpose. She was the light he so desperately was searching for after all those years of darkness. Even at their worst, I can't stop loving these characters and their unforgettable story.
I will definitely recommend this story and there is no doubt I will read more of Jane’s books.
