I finished Jim Karol's Ultimate Memory Magic at the end of 2019. I can only conclude this this book must be my 2020 New Year's resolution to a better mind, body, and improved interpersonal relationships. Reminder to myself, don't put this book on a shelf now that you have finished reading it. Keep it in sight and open the pages not only to the pages marked but also to the many other pages that offer insight into becoming the best you can be.
Why has reading this book made such an impact on my thinking?
Jim Karol was told at age fifty that he was undergoing a health crisis that included cardiomyopathy as well as an enlarged heart. A doctor told him that his heart resembled that of his 93-year-old mother. He was told that he couldn't expect any improvement in his conditions. (x)
Ten years later, Karol asked for a repeat of the medical tests. The author had changed his diet, exercise, and had initiated memory training. The doctor was astonished to read the test results that revealed a reversal of Jim's enlarged heart. The doctor responded that Jim's heart now appeared as healthy as his own. (40-41)

I am grateful for receiving this first edition copy of Ultimate Memory Magic while it was hot off the presses. I can't wait to share the content of the book and the book itself with friends. It would make a terrific gift because it's one of those books where there is information that could benefit everyone whether young or in one's older years.
