[ e-ARC received from NetGalley ]

I’ve heard about Geronimo Stilton for a long time but haven’t had a chance to read it yet until today. After reading this, I could say that I feel a little disappointed. (maybe my expectation is quite high. I think.) Anyway, this book is okay for me. I enjoy reading it. I also love the drawings. ❤️

Thank you to NetGalley and Papercutz for this e-ARC.

Looking for another adventure of the mouse reporter Geronimo Stilton and his family and friends? This is the book book in the latest series on Geronimo Stilton called “Geronimo Stilton Reporter.” I actually like Geronimo Stilton from the publisher Papercutz more than from Scholastic!
This was an enjoyable read and a fun adventure. Geronimo visits his good friend E.J. Sprocket. Sprocket is a film director. The director invites Geronimo to visit the set of Block Cheddar 4. Apparently Block Cheddar is a series of action film that is popular starring Jack Vole. Geronimo is reluctant to go but when his nephew Benjamin and his friend Bugsy Wugsy along with Geronimo’s sister Thea overheard Sprocket’s invitation to the set Geronimo agreed to make a visit! But at the set they learn that there has been various strange sabotage going on against the making of the movie. Geronimo and his gang is out to solve the mystery of what is going on and who is behind it!
Readers might find it helpful to know it is different than the previous Papercutz series that involved time travel, the Pirate cats and historical lessons. This present series focus on the present. While my kids prefer the older series one thing I do appreciate about the “Geronimo Stilton Reporter” series is that it has more of a mystery element where Geronimo and his friends goes about finding out who is doing something! Still it is entertaining for the kids and they are engrossed with the book when I read it to them!
NOTE: This book was provided to me free by Papercutz and Net Galley without any obligation for a positive review. All opinions offered above are mine unless otherwise stated or implied.

This graphic novel is cute, enjoyable for children. However, I found it very predictable, the villain's identity was obvious and the action itself was very fast. The original Geronimo Stilton books were superior. I will still check out the Netflix show this is based on.

This book was received as an ARC from Papercutz in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Geronimo Stilton is hugely popular with our library and every adventure is more interesting than the last and Reporter 3 is no exception. Everyone has a dream of visiting a movie set and meeting your favorite actor but when you find out that someone that you knew is not exactly the person you thought they were and have been a mole all these years and gets you in amount of trouble that you are left lost in the dark and its all up to you. Geronimo, Thea, Benjamin, and Pandora all team up to find out the truth about Block Cheddar and where the REAL Gold is finally hidden. A great read just like the rest of them and all our patrons will sure to love them.

We will consider adding this title to our JFiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Geronimo Stilton books have been around awhile in libraries and book shops and they are nicely still going strong. They are graphic novels, with the story told in a well layed-out and illustrated form and often depict an eye-catching cover, with a good paced plot. Stop Acting Around takes Geronimo (a mouse) on-set of a big movie to meet his favourite actor – Jack Vole and reckons this would make for a great article. The book starts with some on set action. I thought this worked well to draw young readers in and it starts to set the scene. All is well until disaster strikes when 10 cans of film are mysteriously destroyed. The book has plenty of action and there is mild trepidation when there’s a rickety bridge to get across a ravine and down an old mine as the mystery continues as to what happened to the film reels. Further down the mines, Geronimo and his friends come across something quite unexpected in the darkness. There’s enough to keep children entertained throughout. There is a good, solid ending.
It is, like other books in this series, all very well designed and the way language is used is great! Children can find lots of fun within the way the characters speak.
All in all, right from the start to the end of the book. there is enough mystery and excitement for children aged 7 plus. Children who are already fans of the series will enjoy it and those who have not yet tried the series yet, it is worth giving it a go and trying something new. The books have a great energy to them and would appeal to boys and girls alike and they can unleash the mysterious adventure within their imaginations and within the pages and perhaps be inspired to be news reporters themselves too.

*This book has a release date for the 3rd September 2019.

* Thanks to publishers PaperCutz for accepting my request from NetGalley and giving me the great opportunity to review this book, which hopefully will inspire more people to try this series or to continue to follow it.

The Geronimo Stilton series has been one of my kids' favorite series. Trips to the library always include checking to see if there is a new Geronimo they have not read. And then I discover there are also graphic novels? How fun is that! While I believe a literary diet should include more than just graphic novels, in moderation, I admit they are a very fun way to read a book (and a million times better than watching a cartoon!).

In Stop Acting Around, Geronimo visits a movie set with . When mysterious mishaps keep happening, Geronimo does a little investigating on his own and soon finds a more sinister plot line than the movie being filmed. Fans of the series will recognize supporting charcters Thea, Benjamin, and Pandora. Readers can jump into the series at any point, no need to read in order (although I guarantee that kids will want to read more than one!).

I appreciate that the Geronimo books have been entertaining without resorting to unnecessary violence or mouthy retorts. The graphic novels are a great alternative to media overload; the books almost feel like you are watching an episode unfold screen by screen. But in book form, children can pore over the page, look for clues and go back and revisit any part of the adventure they'd like. While Geronimo sometimes gets into trouble, things always come right in the end. Kids will love his antics as well as the bright, colorful presentation of the story.

My first look into Geronimo Stilton and it's kind of underwhelming. NetGalley doesn't allow readers to examine previous entries unless at a certain point. It isn't particularly well written but there is a sense of looking at characters from all angles. The title character is friendly, intelligent, if only a little vain. It also helps if I have a little background information on the side characters. Benjamin seems like the typical sidekick who hangs around his uncle. Thea and Mugsy Wugsy just seem playful.

The mystery surrounding the whole thing is on the nose and there isn't that much time to go over every little detail. In fact, unlike the TV show this is based on, everything is more focused on the actions and surprises than everything else.

All things considered, this series is aimed at kids. But maybe they should stick to Geronimo Stilton's main series unless they're big fans. In fact from what other people say, the earlier Reporter graphic novels are more on brand.

The latest Geronimo Stilton Reporter #3 graphic novel, "Stop Acting Around," was another engaging and stimulating read for elementary-age students between the ages of 7 and 10 years old.

I read through the graphic novel with my 8 and 5-year-old girls who hung on every word as the story unfolded. Read out loud to your kids, it is about a 20-30 minute read if you stop to look through the interesting illustrations.

This is another great Geronimo Stilton story in a long line of stories spurring on children to read.

I received this eBook free of charge from Papercutz via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. I did not receive any fiscal compensation from either company for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.

My 9 year old son who loves Geronimo Stilton was not disappointed by his newest graphic novel! Following Geronimo and his friends as they visit the set for the latest addition to the movie series Block Cheddar. Strange things are happening on set and this isn’t the first time the whole series has been plagued with all kinds of “accidents” Geronimo, Thea and friends are on the case trying to find out who’s sabotaging the films. There’s action, fun and don’t forget all the cheesy puns 🤣 we really enjoyed this addition to the Geronimo Stilton collection.

This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

As a child I have always loved Geronimo Stilton books (and also the Thea Stilton ones) so to be approved on Netgalley to review a Geronimo Stilton comic made me very happy and excited.

The comic is sole and to the point. The drawings are great and you really know what's going on. It's a true children's story so it didn't take me long to finish, but that's quite alright. This comic made me feel very nostalgic and I would recommend it to anyone under the age of let's say 11 years old. It was just so cute and funny. Geronimo always cracks me up.

My kids love Geronimo Stilton so I was excited to see a new book in the Reporter series. I was so disappointed when I opened the book and was assaulted with the typical and offensive cowboy and Indian scene. I didn't even want to finish the book. It was one portion of the book that ruined the entire thing for me. You could have chosen anything and that was what the author chose. We need to be more careful about what images and stories we are putting in front of children.

Es un libro infantil en el que se destacan valores importantes como la amistad, el trabajo en equipo y la confianza en los demás. Las ilustraciones están muy bien hechas e incluso se entiende toda la trama sin necesidad de texto. Una lectura muy recomendable.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book.

We were not familiar with Geronimo Stilton until a stint living overseas but now he is a firm favourite in our house!

We very much enjoyed the comic style of this book. Particularly my youngest son who is not such a fluent reader. We will certainly be picking up some more of these in the future.

Seems they are producing these Geronimo Stilton stories too fast and simply taking advantage of the popularity. Unfortunately, keeping this up loses quality... and ultimately readers. Fans deserve better.
