I WAS READY TO START OVER.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Divorced at 26 and driving to Florida to move back in with my parents.

Until my car breaks down in Smalltown USA.

Not the place meant for a city girl.

Until I meet the cocky asshole that is fixing my car.

I should probably stay away but the pull is too strong.

He was just meant to fix my car but I think he might fix my heart.

Missing Pieces by Tori Fox is book One in the White Creek Series. This is the story of Harper and Easton.
Harper is having to head home to move back in with her parents after her failed marriage and she just 26. To add salt to her wounds her car ends up breaking down leaving her stranded in a small town which isn't what a big city girl is used to. Most of the town people are very nice but the person up to fix her car is a cocky mechanic who she can't seem to stop thinking about.
This was funny book too with the interactions between the characters. The sparked words between the heroine and hero. Enjoyed this book.

Sweet and easy

Quick easy read. Things were a tad fairytale. Everything just seemed to work out. I thought that Harper’s parents were terrible to her. The story just showed that the family you make yourself is so much better.

Good read, most likely will read the next.

Missing Pieces
is the first book in The White Creek series and tells the story of Harper and Easton.

I requested this book because I love reading small town Romances and Missing Pieces didn’t let me down. Missing Pieces was such a good, well written and fast paced Romance!

I really loved Harper and Easton because they both have been through a lot and still let each other in. Easton is such a handsome and funny guy and I couldn’t stop smiling while reading this book. He’s just such a charmer. Harper really grew in this book and became the best version of herself at the end of this book and that’s something I really liked about this book as well.

Missing Pieces was an amazing Romance book and I couldn’t get enough of Harper and Easton. I cannot wait to read the other books in The White Creek series!

Divorced city girl, small town USA, broken down car and one sexy as hell cowboy named Easton.....complete with ass hugging jeans and cowboy hat.... (fans self!)

This adult, contemporary romance ticks all the boxes I have for this type of book. I was barely a quarter of the way through and I was crying......for the main character, twenty-six year old Harper, for all she's been through and all she still has to overcome. This was not the only time that I cried either.

I absolutely loved reading this book, so much so that I very nearly pulled an all-nighter.......finally put the book down at around 5am...whoops!

Missing Pieces is full of secrets and delicious details that keep you intrigued.

The characters work really well together, especially Harper, Easton, Ivy and Trace. There's great interplay between them. It's lovely seeing how close they are and how they accept Harper, encourage her and help her to build a new life.....if she can accept the help of course.

I'm in love with the main four characters, they're perfect for this book and each other. This is definitely an adult read with steamy sex and heartache set against a country backdrop......I'm so glad it's the beginning of a series! I'm very excited for the next book, I don't want to wait.

3.5 stars
I enjoyed reading this book a lot, even when the plot wasn't too original, the characters really grew on me. At certain points I smiled so hard and I even had to laugh out loud. I just sometimes found the plot to be too cliché and too unrealistic. Moreover, even when the characters grew at me, at some points the their behavior really annoyed me.

This was such a lighthearted romance! Even though the main character is a real hot mess, we get to follow her on her way to discovering who she really is and her fresh start at life.

If you love the small-town romances, this book should be on your TBR. We follow the big city girl as she gets stuck in the middle of nowhere, that is, until the cute guy stumbles in and saves her day.

There is a ton of drama from the man she left behind to her very annoying mother who just leaves her stranded in the middle of Tennessee. But thanks to the nice hospitality from the town's people, she finds out that this place was what she really needed in life.

There is a little bit of an epic twist towards the end that I did not see coming! The ending leaves your heart melted and just excited to see where their lives end up in the epilogue.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, it was a really easy and quick read that I finished in one sitting. I recommend this book if you're looking for a sexy, yet light romance that will leave you with all the feels.

Independent reviewerfor Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

I'm a bit in two minds about this book, and I can't figure out why but I'll try.

It's a Nice book. I know I hate using that word but it's the best I can come up with! It has drama, passion, love, hate, lots of different emotions with just enough of each to not be overpowering.

I will say this, only Harper has a say. In the first person AND present tense. And it took me til way past halfway to figure out it was present tense, so well done to Fox for making me NOT see something that might have made me dump it!

I did need to hear from Easton though. I think he would have had a lot to say, especially about what he's dealing with, with his sisters and his nutty ex.

And I found out after I'd read this, that this is a first time author! So very well done to Fox for this book, even if it wasn't quite my cuppa tea.

I enjoyed it, it didn't quite push any buttons for me, BUT! I would like to read the next one, just to see how Fox' skill is growing. And Easton's sister really could be an interesting character!

3 GOOD solid stars

Harper feels like a failure. Not yet thirty, she's about to become a penniless, unemployed divorcee. On top of all of this, her POS car breaks down in a small town. The delay to getting her car fixed turns out to be just what her life and heart need to rebuild.

I liked the story, though I felt the conflicts were a bit too contrived, and could have easily been solved with communication. I liked the way Tori highlighted the characteristics of small town life and made many of them into positives for Harper & Easton's romance.

I recommend this steamy read.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

A good 3 1/2 star read.
I've read a few books set in small towns in America, where someone from the city comes and then falls in love both with it and someone who lives there. This one was one of the better-written ones.
I have to admit that to someone who grew up in the UK and now lives in New Zealand, the idea of being stranded in a town because your car has broken down and needs thousands spending on it for repair is a bit of an odd concept. A day or so maybe, but not long enough to take a job in order to pay for the repairs. Does public transport just not cover these areas? I'm guessing that it's mostly down to scale, America being so much bigger and taking longer to travel across.
I liked Harper, she had been royally screwed over by her ex-husband and is running home to her parents' post-divorce. Of course, this means that she's also carrying lots of emotional baggage. Her new love interest, mechanic Eastern, also has similar baggage, so they make a good pair. There's always a danger with this kind of pairing, that they are too damaged for one another, but it seemed to be a good balance.
There was quite a bit of going to and fro, particularly for Harper. Would she stay there or not. At one point it seems everyone thinks she has changed her mind (including her) and they get angry with her. It was a little odd because as far as I could see, there was no indication that she was going this way before it all blew up. Like many romance books, much of the upset and hurt could have been avoided with more communication. I know that there might not be a story with no misunderstandings and conflict, but in this case, I think that a little more talking would have helped the storyline.
I'd certainly be interested in reading the next book in this series.

A great read. I highly recommend, especially if you've ever dreamed what life might be if you'd made even one decision differently. From chapter one you see Harper grow into someone she never imagined. A wonderful reminder that life is full of surprises, each one a lesson we grow from.

Cure story. Predictable. The characters are interesting enough to keep you reading. A bit repetitive at times. What I did liked about it was that some of the interactions between the two main characters did have a sense of reality. The rest was your usual romantic blah blah. What I did not like about it was the fact that Easton thinks that Harper was gone long enough to get pregnant by someone else. Seriously?! First of all WTF and if that would have been me I would kick the shit out of him. He actually thought she had the time to hook up with a guy and get pregnant?! Not his finest moment and does question his level of intelligence.

Harper and Easton had an adorable whirlwind romance, but not without its share of ups and downs. The miscommunication, the mistrust, mis everything. I loved how Harper was a young independent woman getting a second chance to really come into her own and while she found out she doesn't need a man to be the badass she is, Easton is a nice cherry on top. They both go through some changes and growing on their journey so its not just a one and done romance. This story also has great supporting characters. I cant wait for the next books in the series to see if they focus more on the supporting characters we met. This was a quick and entertaining read, well worth it.

This was quite the book. I absolutely loved Harper and Easton. These two take you on quite the ride. Both are stubborn and really don't know how to communicate with each other. Both have been burned from past relationships and don't know how to be in one. But they still give it a try anyway. I absolutely loved being on the ride with them. I love how no matter what Harper tries her hardest to be strong and do what she believes is needed for her life. I love her and Ivy together. You get them two together and you cant help but laugh. This was a very enjoyable book from beginning to end. A great couple with great chemistry learning to get over the past.

Will a city girl fall in love with a country boy?

Harper just wanted to get her life back on track after everything she has been going through. When her car breaks down in White Creek she isn't happy about it at all. Once she finds out how expensive it's going to be to get her car fixed she doesn't have another option but to get a job at the local diner to save up for her car. As the days go by Harper begins to see White Creek and its people differently. She begins to make friends and little by little the mechanic working on her car Easton begins to work his way to her heart. Will Harper stay in White Creek with Easton or will the past come back to haunt her?

fantastic!

So I picked this book because the author will be at Love n Vegas 2023 and I wanted to read as many books as I could by attending authors. I picked this book in particular since it was small town romance.

I LOVE that the characters feel real. They have normal problems. Car breaking down. Divorce. Ex husband stole the dog. There’s no fancy billionaires or crazy plots. They work normal jobs and lead every day lives. No crazy dramatics aside from an ex husband and an ex girlfriend. Just two people with broken hearts to mend and great friends.

I was really pleased with this book and look forward to continuing the series!

Missing Pieces

This was a good read but not great. It started off super strong and I was very excited as it was immediately gripping. Unfortunately the hero was too secretive and the heroine has no idea what she wanted. She was way to back and forth. These two needed some serious communication. I’m ok with a little angst but this was more over the top that it was frustrating. I would still give this author another try simply because the beginning was amazing.

This was a sweet story of two people with some pretty heavy baggage and how they had to put the pieces together to get their HEA (see what I did there?. I read book two of the series before this one and had to know more about Easton, and he did not disappoint!

I enjoyed this story about Easton and Harper. When the details of a Harper’s settlement are revealed, it seems a bit of a stretch in my opinion. The flow of the story was good and it was a fun read.
