From the first page of TOUGH AS STEELE, I was hooked. This romantic suspense had everything I was looking for and so much more.
Logan Steele is the head of his family’s enterprise, and is immediately captivated by a beautiful woman at a club. “She was thin, but not the kind that made you worry about her eating habits.” I chuckled at this and knew this would be a book I would love.
Like the kind of alpha male book boyfriends I’m drawn to, Logan makes it his mission to know everything about the woman- but not in a creepy way.
Brooklyn Harper is a model and a rising entrepreneur who finally has a investor lined up for her natural makeup line. Yes, you guessed it. Said investor is none other than Mr. Steele. I love it when a book boyfriend does more than try to woo a woman.
The chemistry between Brooklyn and Logan is amazing. In addition to a romantic storyline, TOUGH AS STEELE is filled with intrigue, suspense and at times, heartbreaking moments. There were several twists and turns that surprised me. There were moments that shocked me.
I stayed up late into the night to finish Logan and Brooklyn’s story and not once did I regret being a zombie the next day.

My first ever Elizabeth Knox book and I really enjoyed it! I loved the writing style and the plot, the plot.
“It is hotter than Hades out here,” he whispered in my ear. “It’s nothing compared to how hot I am for you, though.” Ooo…he really is a panty dropper, what a keeper, holy crap. I was in way over my head with this one.
Logan Steele is one dreaming alpha male. I loved how he was both a 'criminal' and a good guy, which seems kind of impossible but isn't. He really was a good guy despite all his work involved. And I really liked him and loved to see him fall so fast and so hard for Brooklyn. She was a lovely and strong woman and just the right one to tame Logan. Also, he sexy as hell and the chemistry between these two was fire!
“Get angry, baby, the sex will be that much better,” he teased, staring me down with those big hazel eyes. “Oh my God Logan!” I shoved at him, and he chuckled in response. There was no way I was having sex with him right now. No way. “It’s not going to happen.” He pushed me onto my back, hovering over my body. “Wanna bet?” He grinned, staring at my body, his hand glided up my leg and stopped where my shorts were. Dammit. It was going to happen. It so was. Logan Steele was my kryptonite. What am I getting myself into?
I love how their story was paced and all the twists and turns. This book kept me on my toes and I seriously couldn't put it down. This is the perfect light and quick read that will entertain you for a couple of hours and give you a good time.
All the Steele brothers have so much promise. I can't wait for what's next!

Logan Steele is working hard to get out of the Illegitimate dealings his family business is tied up with thanks to his father who left everything to Logan when he died. The Steele brothers are a force together. His twin and younger brother are behind him 100%. Brooklyn is strong, determined and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She has been through a lot and come out stronger for it. When the two get together the connection is intense. Their story is full of danger, hurt, lies, family, drama and love.i can’t wait for more. This got 4 stars because the story just ended and there is an epilogue that jumps 7 months but I just felt like after the intense last chapter More should have been included.

Great start to a new series. Logan is the head of his family business and he invests in Brooklyn’s business after he sees her at his brother’s club. What will happen when she falls for her investor? Intense chemistry loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters and a story that really draws you in. I liked it.

From the first minute Logan spots Brooklyn at one of his clubs, he knows there’s something special about her and he has to get to know her. The Steele brothers know what they want and they go after it. That’s part of what has made Logan successful in both his legitimate and shady business enterprises. Brooklyn is attracted to Logan when she meets him, but she’s not looking for a relationship along with everything else going on in her life. Not only does she have her modeling career and her start-up makeup line, her addict ex-boyfriend won’t leave her alone, and she’s trying to have a relationship with her father who she met only two years ago at her mother’s funeral. She’s never encountered a Steele before, however, and she doesn’t yet realize that Logan has already claimed her as his own.
The Steele Brothers series is loosely connected to the Renegade MC series, and I really enjoyed reading Redemption, so I was glad to get an advance copy of this book to read. I really enjoyed getting to know the Steele brothers and thought that Logan and Brooklyn were terrific together. I’m not certain if this book lacked a certain spark that I found in Ms. Knox’s other writing or the fact that it needed another pass through editing, but this story didn’t grab me quite as much. The characters were well developed, complex, likeable and larger than life, and the storyline was solid, with just enough angst and danger to make things interesting. There were a couple of times that things were conflicting, for instance, Brooklyn was furious with Logan but then kissed him softly and told him she loved him. That, along with the lack of a final polishing, detracted from my enjoyment of the story. Still, Logan’s and Brooklyn ’ s story was a good one, and I’m definitely interested in reading the other brothers’ stories. If you’re a stickler for details it won’t be the absolute best read for you, but if you’re able to overlook the errors, this is a great story.

When I started this book I was hooked right away.
As I got more in-depth into the story some things just didn’t make sense.
Brooklyn is a beautiful young lady.
She models and as put herself through school,which is fantastic.
That gave me the impression that she has a good head on her shoulders and thinks seriously of her future.
Brooklyn is a newly recovering drug addict.
She’s six months somber again fantastic.
But what didn’t make sense and didn’t fit was her always being in bars and drinking copious amounts of alcohol.
She could put a sailor to shame with how much she drinks.
It seemed to me she gave up one addiction and moved to another in the form of alcohol.
Then there were unanswered questions about her father.
Alfred was a secondary character. But had a vital role with a serious matter.
It was never explained why he did what he did.
Or why he wasn’t a part of her life for so long.
Did he or did he not know about her until she was an adult.
That relationship between them for me was not only unresolved.
But left me with more questions and zero answers.
Logan Steele is a strong character.
He’s the CEO of Steele Enterprises.
Logan is determined and always goes after and gets what he wants.
In the business he’s in there is always danger present.
The problems and dangers that come his way will carry over to the next books.
Which I have no problems with.
It makes me excited to read the next book.

This was a read that left me with conflicted feelings. I liked it but did have some issues with it. I did feel that the bare bones of the book were good. I found both the story and characters interesting. I thought that Logan and Brooklyn had really good chemistry and that their attraction was easy to feel. I liked them as a couple. With the addition of secrets, drama and intrigue you'd expect to have a five star read. However, the problem lies in the details. Or a drastic lack of them, more precisely. I felt that this book suffered greatly because of this. Items that were vital to character developement or facts that would have made a deeper more meaningful story were either dropped or ignored all together. Plus there were also a few things that just did not make any sense at all. So a lot of potential with a limited payout. A much better choice for readers that are laid back and not so much for the finicky or fussy ones. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Elizabeth Knox is slowly but surely cementing herself as a must read author. Her name now equals wonderful book. Each of her book is different, gripping, enthralling and so consuming that you establish a deep and gripping connection with the characters almost from the beginning. The journey she takes you on with Tough as Steele is nothing but brilliant and you are able to witness first hand Elizabeth Knox's creative writing and mastery with words. I was pleasantly surprised by an overwhelming depth that almost from the beginning will have you established a strong connection with the characters whom are exceptionally well developped. The story plot is fluid and so engaging. Once you start reading this book, it's practically impossible to put it down. In what can be considered a monotonous world of dark romance, Elizabeth Knox brings a fresh, gripping, up beat and at times heartwrenching perspective that is reinvigorating and exhilarating.

If the first book is any indication, I think this will be an excellent series. I liked this first book although I wasn’t thrilled with the ending. I get there are more books though, I just felt I didn’t get enough. This story is about Brooklyn And Logan Steele. Brooklyn is a recovering drug addict. She’s only 6 month’s into her sobriety but she seems solid and is beautiful. She models to put put herself through school. It felt contradictory that the author placed her in bar and getting drunk all the time - almost as if the author didn’t really ‘get it” and that bothered me a bit. That just wouldn’t go hand in hand with sobriety on any vice? I was confused with her relationship with Alfred? But,I did like Logan Steele’s character. He’s the CEO of Steele Enterprises. He peruses Brooklyn and I enjoyed that part and look forward to the next.

I freaking loved this book! Okay, so really HOT, Handsome, and powerful Logan falls for Brooklyn, a girl that got a second chance at life and is taking advantage of it, immediately after seeing her. A night at a bar, an unfiltered best friend, and a little alcohol courage get Brooklyn the best night of her life. She hooks up with Logan and has the best sex she's ever had. What she doesn't expect, is what happens after.
This story had me hooked from the beginning. I read most of it pretty fast, I would have finished earlier if not for life's responsibilities. Elizabeth Knox gives us the steamiest of scenes and a really strong relationship. What I loved the most, is the development of the supporting characters. Elizabeth does it again. I absolutely loved this one. I was hooked right from the start. Brooklyn is trying to get someone to invest in her company so she can get it up and running. She has a meeting with someone big. But the night before the meeting she goes out to her favorite bar and runs into the guy. A guy that she cant seem to get away from . Little does she know that guy is the one person that can change her life in more ways than one. Logan knows who she is when they meet at the bar that night. But he wants her and will do whatever it takes to have her. I absolutely loved the intense storyline between these two. Elizabeth draws you in and grips you until the end. I absolutely loved the parts with the brothers. Some great parts in this books. I loved reading it and highly recommend it. Brooklyn and Logan are quite the couple and their relationship is intense from the beginning.

From the beginning of Tough as Steele I was hooked, I just had to keep reading this wonderful book which is the start to the Steele Bros series. It was so well done, I loved the characters, I fell in love with each of the Steele brothers all of them, please don't ask me to choose my favourite because I can't.
But this book concentrates on Logan, he's the oldest and is so focused on turning the family business around. But this book concentrates on Logan, he's the oldest and is so focused on turning the family business around. He's an amazing guy who once he's met Brooklyn he just knows they just have to be together. Together Brooklyn and Logan bring out the best in each other, they complete each other - for me their story was so well done.

I voluntarily reviewed and advanced reader copy of this book. Another amazing read from Elizabeth, you won’t be disappointed. This story is full of smoldering hot chemistry, sexy and sassy. Brooklyn waiting to meet with an investor to help boost her makeup line, little does she know that the man she will be meeting with is none other than the man she slept with the night before. Logan Steele is sexy, hot, gorgeous and caring, but there is a dangerous side to him as well. When he saw her at the club he knew he wanted to make her his and his alone. Brooklyn has a past and it continues to creep up on her, will Logan be able to keep her safe from her ex? I’m excited to see what Elizabeth has in store for us next with this series.

Who knew that once you loss a loved one you could potential gain another. Sometimes that gain isn't all that you perceive it to be. Brooklyn was raised by a single mom never knowing her dad. Upon the passing of her mom her dad shows up but looks are sometimes deceiving. He saves her form a sticky situation but was that truly a save or a trap to dig his claws in deeper. Than Logan shows up and gives sweeps her off her feet. Through a lot of obstacles they are able to overcome and be together. Sadly some truths are just terrible and is family really determined blood or actions. I really enjoyed this story and can't want to read the next one.

Tough as Steele by Elizabeth Knox is a fascinating and gripping story!!! Logan is the head of the Steele Family, and not all their dealings are on the up-and-up. He falls head-over-heels for Brooklyn, who is looking for an investor. She’s developed a natural makeup line and needs help getting it off the ground. They fall fast and hard for one another. But, both have secrets from the other….and the secrets start to interfere with their relationship.
This was the first story I’ve read from this author, but have read many more since. The writing style is intense, taut, and intriguing!!!

This book drew me in from the very first page and I loved every minute of it
Brooklyn never knew who her father was and when he came around after her mother died and she discovered he was wealthy she still wanted nothing to do with him after all he had ignored her assistance most of her life Now as a model she is determined to get her all natural skin and makeup range up an running but he needs an investor. Logan Steele is the eldest brother and the one trying to turn the family business around when he sees Brooklyn in a club he is determined she will be is and if she needs an investor guess who that will be. So begins a romance that is filled with passion and a fair amount of intrigue and drama. Buy it I am sure you will love it

Now this is truly a wonderful way to begin a series.
Truly a wonderful and magnificent book.
Not to give anything away. This is definitely a book that will have you looking at a persons abilities and their possibilities and not their past and disabilities.
The chemistry alone will have you laughing, on the brink of crying and balling up your own fists in anger. So many emotions in one place.
Well, I’m looking forward to seeing what is next for the Steele Clan.

"Logan was fire, he was electric, he made me doubt everything my mind was telling me."
Getting glimpses of The Steele brothers in previous books made me want to meet them again, and I was not at all disappointed!! Logan and Brook are hot, and the angst was off the charts, which made it an intense page turner. Suspenseful as all get out, it really showed Logan's power and elevated him to hot alpha status, I loved that about him. Their romance dizzied my head, and grabbed my heart. Laugh out loud moments really rounded out a great read, and I absolutely can not wait for more from the Steeles!!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

Tough as Steele by Elizabeth Knox kept me on the edge of my seat and I absolutely loved it. This is the story of Logan and Brooklyn. Logan is the oldest of the Steele brothers and runs the family business. Brooklyn is a model and rising business owner looking for an investor. Logan is the investor. Logan first sees Brooklyn at the club his brother Christian owns and wants her at first sight. He finds out everything he can about her and decides to be the investor. Their chemistry is off the charts. This book has suspense, intrigue, twists and turns, highs and lows. I could not put the book down. I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book by Ms. Knox.

I found this book a little boring not a lot really happens it really is just a glorified love story. It is the introduction to the Steele brothers and is about the oldest and head of their business Logan and the girl he meets and falls in love with Brooklyn. She is unaware of the fact that he is a gun runner as well as his legitimate buisnesses. She only recently met her father when her mother died she also has a past history of drug addiction that she hadn't known her father was involved in. There is a bit of a rocky road but love wins through. I found this slow and lacking in substance.

This is the first book of the “Steele Bros” series. It is an intriguing, fast paced, dark romance that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is the story of Logan and Brooklyn. Logan is the oldest of the Steele brothers and runs the family business. Brooklyn is a model who is trying to start up a cosmetic business and is trying to get someone to invest in her company. The story is so intense that you can’t seem to put it down and the next thing you know you’re at the end. Highly recommend this book.

Elizabeth you write steamy and sizzle so well. I love this story! I about fainted when I read this. It is steamy and it sizzles. I swear my kindle was lit on fire! I love the story as a whole and am patiently waiting for more! The Steele brothers will have you swooning and maybe a change of wardrobe might be in the mix. I love all of your writings and golly woman you can write! Logan fits the mold of gruff and ALPHA!!! Brooklyn is written phenomenally! She is in her own right an amazing woman who has caught Logans eye! Well get ready to pull up your big girl panties and lets go for a Steele RIDE!
