In a corrupted world, would you embrace the norm to avoid conflict, or would you fight for the truth even if it kills you?

Jessica works for Intellecta, a corporation whose newest invention - a cybernetic heart - has the power to greatly increase longevity and end disease as humanity knows it. However, the world already is struggling with population control; why would they want to make people live longer? She'll soon find out...but it'll take a career sabotage, several shocking revelations, and the near-impossible act of shutting down her city to do so.

I really enjoyed reading this! While Jessica felt like a generic dystopian protagonist at first, she really did grow; Bryant and his crew were especially fun; the world was vivid and gritty; and I actually didn't expect the twist toward the ending at all. If anything, however, there were a handful of grammatical and spelling errors I wish the author or a proofreader had caught.
