A Good Lesson

A colorfully illustrated book with a charming rhyme that is sure to catch a flighty kid's attention, all the while teaching them that it's as important to listen as it is to be heard.

The dragon talks is a children’s book written about a dragon named Gab that talks a lot. His friend and mom and dad fully know of this nature and tolerate this interesting dragon but also try to teach him the valuable lesson of sometimes listening. As the dragon continues to talk about his dreams, toys, imaginative play, his likes and dislikes, Gab displays his full personality in terms of why he is the way he is.

I enjoyed the literature just as much as the illustrations. They were truly colorful and drawn beautifully making it suitable for the age group the book is aimed for. One thing I would like to add was that sometimes, I felt that the story was losing its track of getting to a point. As an adult, it may have been an issue, but for a child, I don’t think that made much of a difference.

The work educates children in learning to listen and to understand instead of non-stop talking. That alone, I believe, is a strong message and something we can all take home.

I recommend this book to families that are looking for suitable children’s books.

Gab’s (yellow dragon son) mom (red dragon) woke him up.
He started jabbering & didn’t hear what she said.
Joy (pink dragon) tries to tell Gab about her toys.
In the evening dad (blue dragon) tells Gab only 1 scoop of ice cream for desert.

Will Gab learn to quit talking so much & listen?

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (Emotions & Feelings), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

The Dragon Talks is the story of a dragon who never stops talking, he interrupts people missing key points of information and never listens. I have seen some children just like him so it is great to have a book on it which can subtly introduce to children why it's good to listen and wait for your turn to speak.

The children love how it is based on a dragon as they particularly love these kinds of creatures and it makes them more engaged in the story which helps them learn and listen more. The way we see Gab change throughout the book is very good a story with such a sudden change it helped children see this change and notice the difference it was making to his life. Whilst his family and friends weren't negative towards his nonstop talking beforehand it was great to see the positive reactions he got after he decided to listen for a day.

The illustrations are brightly coloured and fun but still show very well how Gab and his friends and family are feeling with his constant talking. This is a great book to show children why it is important to listen and wait your turn to speak, a subtle way to get the message across with a dragon they will love!

This is a delightful children’s book! The age range 3 to 5 is perfect! The illustrations are brightly colored and very engaging. They coincide with the story nicely and move the story along well.

The featured Dragon, Gab loves to talk! And talk and talk and talk! He doesn’t listen to his parents very well and talks way too much when he plays with his best friend Joy.

Gab the Dragon’s father says one scoop of ice cream and he takes four ending up with a sore throat. He spends the day listening...

Gab the Dragon finds out that he is a good listener. His friends and family appreciate that he listened to them.

What a great teaching tool through a book to help children understand that listening is a good skill to have.

Gab the Dragon doesn't listen to his mom when she tells him what He must do today. He visits Joy, his best friend.. Joy wants to tell about her toy but He tells her all about his. Joy gets no chance to share about hers. Dad tells him one scoop of ice cream for dinner. Gab eats four. He has no voice next day.
What does he do? He also has a big secret. I'm no good at waiting. I have to go.finish the book. How about you??
I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited and so can you.

The Dragon Talks

I especially liked this book because it shows the importance of listening to parents and friends. It also shows children how to make a decision to not talk as much but to listen. My granddaughter really needed this book because she talks way too much!🤣🤣🤣 I would recommend this book to all young children that need to learn how to listen. I gave 4 stars because it was a very good book for both of us and a good bed time story. Thanks so very much Mr Gordon, you have done it again!!👍👍
