It starts with a bang.

As in me and Hadley, the maid of honor, during my brother’s wedding reception.
Sure, it was amazing, but I’m a one-and-done kind of guy.
After spending years of my life getting screwed over by managers and agents with the Ryder Brothers, I no longer like to commit.

I don’t even play music anymore.
The secret that I haven’t told anyone- is that I can’t.

A chance to raise money for my best friend’s nonprofit to help child stars means it’s time to deal with my block.
Hiring Hadley seems like the obvious solution.
She wants inside my head (not happening). I want to bang her again (she says she can’t sleep with clients).

Between my baggage and her professionalism, can my problem even be fixed?
Or will we both end up just wanting more?

Gah after reading the first two books in this series I just HAD to read More and gah it’s just as amazing as the other two Ryder brothers.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

Jonas has quickly become my favourite brother, he’s so troubled and hurt and he doesn’t even realise how much all his shit is actually affecting him. He’s got issues and nobody close to him sees how deep they go.

Hadley was an amazing woman, her sole purpose is helping other. She’s a strong and beautiful woman who needs a challenging client, what she doesn’t expect is the client she actually gets.

Jonas and Hadley’s first meeting was so unexpected tbh but damn, I fucking loved it. I loved how different it was to other books and first meetings and from then I was rooting for these two.

Both characters have issues to overcome and watching their issues troubling them hit me straight in the heart, I felt their pain and their emotions and hoped with everything I have they’d be able to overcome them.

This book had me hooked from the first page and kept me hooked until the very last page. I still can’t get it out of my head that these Ryder brothers remind me so much of the Jonas brothers. *sighs* perfection.

More is a rockstar romance, it’s a romance filled with emotions. One that you’ll fall completely in love with and then be sad when it’s over. This is my first read from this author and I’m absolutely blown away by how incredible it was.

Jonas has his priorities in order, “if it’s a choice between having you as my life coach and having you in my bed, then I know exactly what I’m gonna go with. There’s no contest.” Jonas can read his woman like a book, “you’re the one trying to distract me with *** now, huh?” I liked this book, I loved Jonas.

I floved this story so much. It doesn't happen often that you can identify yourself with the main female character, but this time...Yes.
Hadley is amazing. And yes, Jonas is hot and Alpha, but not the annoying kind. I can't write much more because I would give some spoilers and I don't want to do that. So if you have a chance to read More, you definitely should.❤

What can I say about More by JD Hawkins other than, he gave me more. So much more! This book was a deserved ending to a fantastic three part series. The first two, Close and Want by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee were both brilliant stories and we got to see a little bit about Jonas in them but not enough to reveal just what was coming here.
This guy? He had issues, but, not the usual kind. No drama caused by bad parenting in his past or a devastating breakup with an ex-girlfriend. No, this hurt to his psyche went a lot deeper and was behind a lot of Jonas’s problems. One’s he hid from his brothers and tried to avoid since their band broke up.
But, now a friend needs his help. She wants to host a reunion concert for The Ryder Brothers. She needs him to step back into the limelight he quit three years ago.
Jonas can’t do it alone, thankfully, he has help in the form of Hadley.
Hadley is one of Natalia’s friends whom we met in Close, Nick and Natalia book. It’s at their wedding that Jonas and Hadley hooked up for the first time, before they even knew who the other was. It was only supposed to be a one night stand but they both spent months thinking about that night.
Now, life coach Hadley has the chance to help Jonas overcome his crushing inner demon but she has to defeat her lust for him first. Jonas has a way for them to deal with their out of control feelings.
This was a slightly angsty, emotional story as far as Jonas was concerned. I really felt for the guy and loved how Hadley dealt with his problems.
Loved JD’s contribution to this wonderful three author story arc.

Let me introduce to you to the book, MORE, starring characters Hadley and Jonas.
The book is a unique take on the typical bad boy rocker with issues and a life coach.

Everyone needs a little Hadley in their life. She is smart, sweet and gets to the point with the issues her clients are dealing with. She gives them the teaching tools to handle the situations they have found themselves in. As she takes on Jonas as a client, magic happens for both of them. Helping Jonas with her strength and insight, she is determined to get him back on stage to perform. She gives him her whole heart, body and delicate touch.

Jonas....swoon he is sexy, cantankerous and makes no commitment to anyone or anything. He basically is becoming a hermit, hiding and choosing to give up his career instead of fighting his demons.

MORE is a look at a rockstar fighting to get back to what he loves and letting someone help him get his light and love of music back into his heart.

More is by far my favorite book in the Ryder Brother's series. It's Jonas turn to find love while dealing with his issues.

Jonas is the elusive, eldest Ryder brother. Unlike his two younger brothers, he gave up his career in the music industry because his past experience. He's taken a stance against commitment and obligations. It was his past commitments and obligations that made him turn against music. Jonas had been coasting along with no commitment until his best friend recruits him to perform with his the old boy band (including his brothers) for a good cause. The only problem is that he's dug himself into a whole and just can't find a way out.

Hadley is a life coach. She's committed to helping people overcome things that are holding them back. After a one time fling with ex-boybander Jonas Ryder turns into a second time fling. Jonas confides to Hadley that he needs her help as a life coach. Hadley's ready for the challenge but is Jonas's baggage too much?

More is sexy-sweet! I love Hadley's determination and drive. She takes a stance on more. 5 Stars

There are certain authors whose books I instantly one click when they have a new release. J.D Hawkins is one of these authors whose stories I instantly one click when they are released. This is due to the unique take on romance stories that this author takes in their writing. The way they are able to write these endearing and unique characters that I instantly love reading. More is no exception with the unique bad boy rock star Jonas and the inspiring life coach Hadley. Both characters being complete opposites to each other create a unique couple that is perfect for each other.

Jonas is the hot rock star that faces a lot of demons and baggage causing him to isolate himself from those around him in order to ensure that he does not create any commitments to anyone. It is obvious in the story how lonely he really is and how much his past has affected him. I really felt for him but I loved the way that he makes positive changes for himself in the story.

Hadley was incredible sweet characters that cared about helping people and she is really good at her job as a life coach. I really loved the way that she helps people and the methods she goes about with helping her clients. I enjoyed the way that she is able to help Jonas to escape some of the demons that possess him from his past. It is obvious during the story how much she cares for him and wants to help him.

More is an incredible steamy read that I loved reading about and has many emotional moments throughout the story that really captured my attention. I really enjoyed these characters and the three Ryder brothers. I loved the way that three authors have each written a story about each Ryder brother creating a dynamic series. this is a definite must read that you will not be disappointed reading.

Ryder Brothers #3

This is the story of the final Ryder brother Jonah.  I was so looking forward to this one!  J.D. Hawkins is a new to me author so I was doubly excited to get into this story.  I was not disappointed.

Hadley and Jonah have a hit it and quit it initial meet.  As the months pass they see each other a few more times.  The chemistry between these two is epic! Off the charts hot!

As time passes, the intrigue between these two develops.

Hadley is a life coach that blurs the lines between professional and personal.  I was impressed by her strength and her ingenuity at working with Jonah to get him to move on from his past.

Jonah is the quintessential player.  He shys away from commitment like it's the plague.  He enjoys his unconventional working relationship with Hadley.  At least he thinks he does.

This story flows beautifully and the alternate POV's was fantastic.  It's my favorite type of story.  You get to read about past characters and it fun to read about what they are all up to.

I will definitely be looking for more stories from J.D. Hawkins to read and enjoy! This whole series is a fantastic read!

I wonder how Laurelin, Kayti and JD decided which brother to take.

I imagine Laurelin said “I’ll take the one with the cougar. Grrrrrrrrr.” Kayti said, “I’ll take the sweet friends to lovers. Purrrrrrr.” Hawkins said, “I’ll take the inventor of pirate themed cocktails. Aye aye me hearties and a bottle of rum.”

Jonas is said pirate booty maker and pirate bounty do-er. The oldest Ryder brother doesn’t play with his little brothers anymore but plays very nicely with Hadley. Hadley is the life coach we first met in Laurelin’s book Close.

More starts with a lusty bang. It then moves through a story about dealing with inner demons and ends on a round of applause.

JD writes with humour and with heart. I always get a feeling that he really likes his characters and it makes them real, well rounded and often with a touch of vulnerability.

More is a perfect ending to the Ryder brothers’ stories. Job well done to all three writers.

Jonas Ryder’s musical life was controlled by agents, managers, and other people who wanted to own him and his brothers and he never wanted to live that kind of life again. So after playing the last note, at the last show on their final tour, he left that life behind to live in solitude in his mansion, so he could be alone with his thoughts. He had distanced himself from his brothers who had found success with their solo careers. Jonas had a fear of music, performing and everything else that came with his former life. His studio remained empty and full of ghosts; his equipment gathering dust. All he does is drink, attend parties and pick up faceless women. He has a deep fear of commitment to anything, until he noticed a beautiful and sexy woman at his brother’s wedding. She was like an angel sent to him for just one night of passion. But what if he wanted more than one night?

Is Hadley the woman who can help Jonas emerge from the darkness and face his fears? Will she also be the one to tame him and make him a one woman man?

This is the perfect conclusion to the Ryder Brother’s trilogy. I had been waiting to find out about the mysterious Jonas and I wasn’t disappointed. I expected him to be devoid of feelings but he turned out to be a thoughtful and romantic man who just needed the right woman to love him and be by his side forever.

JD perfectly captures the heart and mind of broken-hearted musical performer Jonas Ryder. Being the oldest in the Ryder brothers he let himself take the brunt of the responsibilities. Which later made him get burned out and turn his back on the one thing brought him peace and happiness. He notices Hadley at the wedding to one of his brothers and sparks begin to fly. Hadley herself was looking for something besides the some old day to day and she got more than she bargained for in Jonas. The story captures the emotion that Jonas goes through to overcome the demons that haunt him. The exploitation of child performers and how hard that is to deal with as an adult. With Hadley’s help he discovers what he needs to do to get back on track on stage and in life. JD has a true gift at story telling pulling you into the story and making you as emotionally invested as the characters he writes. This is book is exactly what it means to save the best for last.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a one sitting read, who needs sleep! This book was an amazing end to a delightful and strong trilogy about three brothers who were in a boy band as teens and then, well then they grew up. Two have fallen in love, but the third brother, Jonas, has yet to find love. Also, yet to find forgiveness for the grueling experiences that he endured while the eldest of the brothers when they were together.

Hadley is a life coach. She likes her choice but perhaps is bored with the challenges that her work presents. Until she meets Jonas. Sparks fly. But, how does it work that he is also an interesting person that she finds herself helping professionally? This is that story, how they navigate professionalism and a personal chemistry, and in the process find love with each other and a portion of themselves as individuals.

It's a wonderfully written book. It's a sexy, hot but also thoughtful emotional read. It definitely makes me want to read more by JD Hawkins.

As a new reader to the world of JD Hawkins I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was erotically charged right from the first word. Jonas and Hadley were intense characters who found solace in each other. Their story was sweet and oh so sexy. JD Hawkins great job, this is by far my favourite book in the Ryder Brothers series.

More (Ryder Brothers ,3) is the story of the eldest Ryder brother, Jonas and best friend of Natalia, Hadley. I have seen glimpses of Jonas in all three books and he was an intriguing character. I loved Hadley's character as she did a lot to bring Nick Ryder and Natalia together in the first book. So this book was in my list of highly anticipated read. And I was not disappointed at all.

Jonas has retired from music industry and cut off all ties from fame and limelight. While his brothers still perform, he wants nothing to do with music anymore. But why? The answer is in this book. And it is not a simple answer. He hides behind his defense of casual detachment to protect himself from hurting. He never does a relationship. Even his brothers think he is just incapable of loving by default and he doesn't correct them. But all these change when he has an one night stand with maid of honor Hadley in the wedding of Nick and Natalia. They connect beyond bodies and they feel this intense connection. Hadley, the ever responsible and ever collected life coach throws caution in the wind to have this night together. The problem is the one night refuses to stay one. And to complicate the matter , Jonas decides to take Hadley's help to get over his mental block. Yes it has disaster written all over it. So what will happen? Will Hadley break the walls and reach the true Jonas? Or will Jonas end up hurting both hearts beyond repair? Can happily ever after happen when two persons resist their honest feelings?

The story is intense and have a lot of introspection for both the lead characters. I think Jonas is my most favorite Ryder brother definitely. He has done so much for his brothers. He carries a heavy burden inside that corrodes his heart away a bit every day. I just admire his strength and protectiveness. He covers so much pain behind the cool and casual mask. Hadley is the exact opposite yet so much alike. She is always in control and never gives in to impulses. She is full of doubt and always put the need of the other person first even if it means her own happiness is taking backseat. They both makes mistakes but not ones that cannot be corrected. What I loved about the story was that I was completely engaged in it from the first chapter. I went through all the feelings. I smiled when the tender moments came. I felt sad when they pushed each other away. I wanted to shake Jonas and Hadley when they were acting crazy and stupid. I clapped happily with tear in my eyes when they found their way back to each other.

More is the perfect conclusion to the epic Ryder Brothers series. More was a dramatic, sensual, emotional and swoon worthy story. It was about love, family and friendship. It was about letting go of everything negative and living life to the fullest.

More is the third book in the Ryder Brothers series by three very talented authors. This one being by JD Hawkins. You can read it as a standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books to get to know Jonas’ brothers and their loves.

Jonas Ryder was a certified man-whore. That was why he was banging his brother’s new bride’s maid of honor outside of the wedding reception. He didn’t even know her name. What he did know was that she was sexy, available, and intriguing. There was definitely something different about her. And he knew this for sure when even months later...he wanted to see her again. And again. He got his wish and even more when she turns out to be a life coach. Something he hasn’t thought of hiring before but why not? He could get some help with getting back to playing music and he could show her his appreciation with a good fuck after their sessions.

Hadley was screwed. Royally. She is usually the careful friend. The one who drove her friends home after a night out. The one who always went home alone. Then she met Jonas. And banged him. Hard. And now she was his life coach. She is so screwed. She was a professional. She didn’t mix business with pleasure but he was too tempting. He turned her on with every look. But she needed to help him, not only to get off but to get him back on stage. For a fundraiser important to the Ryder Brothers and many others.

Will Jonas make it on that stage? Will Hadley and Jonas be more than life coach and client and FWB? Can he find his love of music again?

I thought this was a wonderful story with a unique twist. Jonas and Hadley’s relationship is complicated, fun, sexy, and even more than I thought it was going to be. I liked Jonas in the previous books but fell for him in this one.

Quotes:

“Try out my idea of fun. Let’s make a scandal.”

“You scream better than you sing,” I murmur, and she lets out a gentle little laugh.

“If you guys are gonna do the soap opera thing much longer, at least you can offer me a beer or something.”

5 Star Review of More (Ryder Brothers #3) by J D Hawkins
I have read the previous two books in this series and could not wait for Jonas’s story. I knew that the woman who would captivate him would need to be special and Hadley is just the woman.
Hadley and Jonas start of as a one night hookup but despite themselves, they both gravitate to one another and want more.
Jonas has some deep and personal fears and issues he has managed to hide from his brothers and the rest of the world. When a friend ask him to take part in a benefit to raise funds for exploited child stars, he knows he needs to face his demons but has no idea how.
Having hooked up with Hadley a couple of times, he is surprised to learn that she is a life coach and may be able to help him.
I absolutely adored the character of Hadley, not only is she a strong, loyal friend but the care and empathy she has for helping others was awesome.

Both Hadley and Jonas have personal issues to overcome and honestly I was absolutely riveted from the first to the last chapter. The emotional pain and fear that needed to be overcome was tangible.
JD Hawkins has written a book that does the characters justice and the writing was so strong and engaging that I couldn’t put this book down.
There were so many swoon worthy moments throughout More and I loved the camaraderie between Hayden and her girlfriends which had me in stitches at times. I also loved the banter between Jonas and his brothers.

This is the final book. the final Ryder brother in the series and boy am I sad to see it finish, I loved the concept of three different authors writing about three brothers who all have their own issues. J.D.Hawkins is a new author to me but after reading More I certainly will be checking out other works from this very talented author.
Jonas Ryder is the oldest Ryder brother and that makes him responsible for his siblings and the issues that went with the boy band they formed but he burnt himself out and he walked away when they were at the top but even after walking away he can’t find the happiness his siblings have both found so he turns to a woman he met at his brothers wedding a woman who was meant to be a one time fling.......
Hadley is a life coach and she has never crossed the line with one of her clients (well she has not technically crossed the line with Jonas because the hook was before he was her client ) but even though she knows he is off limits she can’t stop the attraction and the feelings she has for her best friends brother in law........
This story is an emotional one it captures all the emotions and demons Jonas has faced in his life and it had me feeling like I needed to hug this broken man. This author’s writing has a way of drawing you in and making emotionally invested with the characters, you feel their pain you feel their love and most importantly you relate to them. What a great book to end this wonderful series on,

I haven't read a book by this author before and this is also my first read in this series. I liked the characters, I liked the dilemmas they faced and the words said to help them deal with things, life etc.
There was a real sense of family, friendships that I came to really love as well.
Overall, all I wanted to do, is give Jonas a big hug. His heart and the way things happened just made him feel real, everyday issues....plaguing him.
At one point I got so engrossed in the book that I had to finish so I could see how he got on.
My heart was in my throat, I felt restless wondering.
A rather enjoyable read that had some really wonderful words of support from those around him.

More by JD Hawkins is the third and final book of the Ryder Brothers series. A hot trilogy about three brothers who were a big hit in the music industry for years, their eventual breakup, and where they are now. I love how each book is written by a different author with their own style shining through and also compliment the storyline as a whole. These are standalone books with each brother having their own journey, but I recommend reading in order to gain the full experience and appreciate what all is going on.

It's easy to look at celebrities and believe they have it made since all we see is the success and all their beautiful possessions. What we don't see is the long hours, no privacy, and tons of critics inserting their opinions as if what they say goes. Jonas Ryder has been out of the game for over three years and still can't shake the past of how horrible he and his brothers were actually treated. Believing he has to shoulder the burdens alone for being the oldest, Jonas is truly miserable despite the outgoing, smug attitude he shows the world. When an old friend asks for help with wanting the Ryder Brothers to perform again, Jonas finds himself finally asking for help to stare down his demons and banish them once and for all to get back the one thing he loves doing the most.

More was such an intriguing story to read. For one thing Hadley being a life coach was something completely new, and actually it's the first I've heard of such a job. It's quite amazing how much goes into helping people deal with their problems and she did it with such ease and grace. I love how Jonas and Hadley were so different, his dark to her light, with off the charts chemistry physically and emotionally. Jonas himself was my kind of guy with a great mix of playfulness and dominating presence. Without fully trying these two were healing each other and also pushing forward to a future with a much brighter outcome. There were a few smaller characters who popped up throughout that caught my attention and I'm truly hoping this isn't the end for everyone but no matter what More, such a fitting title, was an excellent read that I easily fell in love with.

More, gives us exactly what it says.. MORE
This is Jonas (Oldest Ryder Brother) and Hadley's story, and we get so much more than a Badboy Rockers love story.
Jonas is almost a recluse, disenchanted with the music industry, and refuses to enter the music world again. He lived through trying to protect his brothers from the music industries sharks, till he had nothing left to give. This is a man with deep issues even though he floundering
He meets Hadley at his brothers wedding and yes he is that one the sneaks the woman off for a little one on one !! If you get my drift !! Hot as Hell !!!
Hadley is a life coach but she's also at a bit of a turning point herself, she's great with helping people but no so good at advising herself.
I loved this story, Jonas is definitely the most troubled of the brothers yet hes also so easy to love, its that lost little puppy about him. He disengaged from the things he loves most, his family and his music. He can't keep his mind or his hands off Hadley and I loved how they became entangled. Both wanting no strings, and both denying what was between them... until they couldn't. I devoured their ups and downs leading to them gaining Love, but most of all i loved watching them grow back into themselves and bloom !!! Three Brothers, Nick, Jake and Jonas, i don't know how these authors decided who wrote which brother but each and everyone of them has been a fantastic journey i am so glad i travelled !!!

Hadley is a life coach. And, right there, I was really interested in this one, as, well, couldn't we all use someone to help us face the things that block us from our own success.

Enter Jonas. He needs some help hetting back to his success. He also just had hot wedding sex with his future life coach.

Oops.

As always with a JD Hawkins book, the humor and the characters are the reason to love and enjoy this story. I liked both of them, I felt like I connected with the characters, especially Jonas. And I wanted him to get the girl...and get his music back.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I’m upset this was sooo short. It had a main female character that I can relate to and I really liked. It had an alpha male that was deeply upset and sensitive. I really liked the break from all the stereotypes. This feels refreshing and different from JD others works.

I wish it was 150 pages longer and then it would be 4 stars just so I can stay with these amazing characters a bit longer and develop them as a couple; which is something I didn’t see done in this super short novel. I do understand as it was part of a series but I wanted more!

More is the 3rd and final installment in the Ryder Brothers series. Jonas is the broody and elusive older brother. Hadley is the self confident life coach that puts everyone first and leaves her happiness by the wayside. Together they are an explosion of hotness. It’s a fun and flirty read.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

The final Ryder brother gets his story in this one. Both main characters have been in the previous books, and so we have had little glimpses of them before, to get us wanting more.

More is all that Jonas wants as well. After some hot wedding sex with Hadley, they run into each again down the track, and he finds out that she is a life coach. This leads to Hadley mixing business and pleasure which can be quite tricky.

With neither of them really admitting to the truth of their feelings, and with the "job" mixed in, this leads to some interesting times between them and some deeper realisations on both their parts.

A fun and fast read, would recommend.
