A crazy mixture of 50 shades of Grey and a detective story. Also available in Kindle Unlimited.
As a 19-year-old, Arina, a student of the Veterinary Medicine University in Moscow and a vet clinic worker, wanders into Maxim’s photo exhibition, the only son of an oligarch and a photographer of expressive art, the air is immediately charged with sexual tension.

She is struck by the cruelty and violence that is erupting from his world. He is dazzled by her innocence, beauty, and aloofness.

Maxim is a handsome, talented, sophisticated and rich man. Somehow, he cannot think of anything but her. He offers her a contract for the next two months and three days.

Therefore, somewhere in the grey zone between art and burning passion both Arina and Maxim start on a life-changing romantic adventure by connecting Moscow, Berlin, and London.

However, apart from the fancy art exhibitions, expensive restaurants, and private jets she, step by step, uncovers Maxim’s dark and dangerous past and understands that everything comes at a high price. Moreover, all Arina and Maxim’s friends and both families insist on end their relations.

Two Months and Three Days by Tatiana Vedenska is book One in the Sinister Romance. This is the story of Arina and Maxim.
Maxim and Arina are so opposite of each other in life and attitude. But there is something between them that Maxim can't walk away from easily. When he sets up a contract for Arina to be his 'assistant' for Two Months and Three Days it sets them off on the start of something neither will be away to avoid. Can't wait for the next installment.
Really enjoyed their story...hard to put down for sure.

While I was gripped to this book, and want to read what comes next , I found it considerably annoying in places.
The reference to " snow white " for Arina was fine, but describing everything white as " snow white" was too much.

Arinas character was fun to get to know, she is so naive whilst also showing such strength and bravery when suddenly finding herself in a world she doesnt belong.

Maxim... well I have to say I couldn't bring myself to find anything likeable about him.

The writing style is very hard to get into too, I was still struggling at 40% and wondering if I should put it down for good.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I admit that I was drawn by the book because of the cover and the title. But of course, the fact that it likens itself with 50 Shades of Grey in the description got me somewhat interested too.

But I am happy to say that it resembles very little to 50 Shades. That could be a good thing or bad, depending onow big of a fan you are of the famous erotica. Me, personally, am glad it is nothing like it. Or at least, the resemblance is nothing major. So far.

If there is any similarity between the two series that I notice would be the personality of the female lead. Arina do remind a little of Bella Swan with the hwole virginity and intrigued by the rich and mysterious male lead. Arina, thank God, did not do the whole lip biting thing that Bella Swan is famous for. Plus, Arina is less annoying.

I cannot quite figure out Maxim, but maybe that is the whole point at this stage. He is one very determined alpha, but he is walking on the thin line to being an asshole. His chemistry with Arina is off the chart. It certainly helps that he is one straight shooting, dirty talker.

The wriitng I think could be better. At times, I felt like I was reading a fanfiction written by a 13 year old writer. This is by no means a diss towards the writer because I am reading a translated version after all. So a better translating job would not go amiss. But despite it, I found myself addicted to the story because it kept me going for hours.

Thank you Netgalley and LitHunters for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

"Two Months and Three Days" is an unusual combination of a romance and a detective story. It is one of the best contemporary romance books that I have read in a while.

It is the first in a trilogy of books by Tatiana Vedenska that was originally published in Russian under the pen-name of Alisa Klever. A complete best-selling contemporary romance series in Russia, the trilogy very loosely adapts ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ by E.L. James. For me, Tatiana Vedenska is in a league of her own with her individual style of writing, and steamy sex scenes!

This, the opening book of the #SinisterRomance series is a steamy, sensual and emotional read. It is a wonderful tale of a spoiled billionaire and an ordinary student that explores themes such as family bonds, experience and relationships, as well as happiness, belonging and naivety.

This English translation is nicely done and keeps the moments of humour and spicy sex scenes that make "Two Months and Three Days" such a fulfilling and enjoyable read.

How about a range 2-4?

I am at a lost how to review this. I liked and hated it all at the same time. Parts were just so unbelievable, but there are people out there that have enough money to do whatever they want. We are just to naive to realize it. Some say this is like 50 shades, it’s not. This is more sinister and the hero is way more damaged.

I still don’t know what I think. It ends with a cliffhanger so I have to read the next.

I read Why. One Woman's Divorce by Tatiana Vedenska and felt like reading more by the same author.

Two Months and Three Days has an easy to follow plotline. This book is THE guilty pleasure every woman reads once in a while. The easy plotline is combined with a set of interesting characters. There are some elements in the book that hint to more substance in the forthcoming series. I'm very curious to know more about the douchebag-book boyfriend Maxim. He has an obscure past and his family history is very intriguing. I also enjoyed reading the variation in the set of the female characters altogether and the harsh realities they are in (e.g. Nelly).

I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

I am having a bit of a dilemma writing this review.

1. I like the plotline

2. I do not like the writing style... but that may be because this book is being translated from Russian and it is maybe losing some of its allure because of the translator.

3. The sex scenes are more into the Erotica genre, but at least there is a plotline. Although to get to the heart of the plotline, I am going to have read all three books. Bummer!

Bottom line, if you can overlook the translator's incorrect translation at times and the rough prose because of the translation, I think you will find this to be a gripping plotline. Maxim is a man consumed by the demons of his childhood that no psychiatrist has been able to resolve. Arina is very naive, but given the right surrounding, she comes through as a strong individual who hopefully will be able to help Maxim when all is said and done.

Planning to read the rest of the series because I need to find out what happens to Maxim in the end.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks for sharing a copy with me.

Okay at first I thought that Maxim is kinda psycho. You did not know what is in his mind. The way he thinks is an absolute insane. Those two are completely opposite. While Arina is naive, Maxim is dark and sinister. What I did not like is that there’s too much Snow White references. Everything is white. This book is hot but a little bit slow. What make me mad is that Maxim did not know Arina is falling for him. Duh, what a clueless man. In the conclusion Maxim is a jerk! The book ends in cliffhanger which I would buy and read the next book to find out the ending.

I received a free copy of Two Months and Three Days in exchange for an honest review. This was definitely an intense book. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I really had a hard time liking Arina. She was in way over her head with Maxim. Maxim is older, more sophisticated, and has a very dark side. Even though Arina claimed to like it, she wasn't very convincing in the story. The story ends with a part 2 after Arina takes off. I'm not sure if I will complete the second book.

Ok

The story line is good the characters are a little disjointed. It's back and forth between the main characters and you get lost some stuff is out loud and others is only in their head but you have a difference in type. Was hard to fallow at times.

Maxim is dark and Arina is light when these two meet, sparks fly but will that attraction be enough to keep them together or will Maxim’s past and others stop this relationship before it starts? I loved the intense chemistry; the characters were great and the story held my interest throughout. I really liked it!

Eh... This book had a lot of potentials! But... here, in my opinion, it was something that got right out of 50 sog. Oligarch with twisted desires, a girl that is inexperienced and they get a contract. So... like a story out of the 50 sog.
What I liked more definitely were sex scenes that were truer and Arina - I liked her much better for sure as she was not Mary Sue in the end. Thanks to that this book was rated 3 stars, not 2 stars.

Typical dark romance story line, naive girl falls for rich abusive a**hole. The translation into English could have been better, but it was interesting enough to keep reading.

Dark and disturbing

I won this book from Goodreads. This book is very dark and at times disturbing. Arina is a Russian girl who is attending school to become a veterinarian. Maxim is a world famous photographer whose father happens to be an oligarch. He sees Arina at one of his shows and becomes obsessed with. He even starts to call her Snow White. Arina becomes obsessed herself but at the same time becomes a whiney, indecisive girl. He wants to be with her but when she has a chance to, she argues and yells at him. When she is away from him, she becomes moody and pouty. When she finally does agree to go away with him, her life is forever changed. She sees a much darker side of Maxim than what she ever expected. Maxim on the other hand seems to like playing with her emotions and messing with her head. She finally grows a spine at the end of the book but only after witnessing something she can't handle. I just hope it stays with her into the next book.

Cliffhanger

This story took me a long while to finish reading. It is a slow start and doesn't really pick up until about half way through.
I don't like Maxim, I think he's very immature for his age. He is a very selfish man. When he sees Arina he decides he wants her. He needs to find her and has someone help him track her down. He pays off her boss at the veterinarian clinic so she can leave with him.
Arina is young, innocent and naive. She does have a backbone and it comes out occasionally, thank God. She is smitten. She thinks he's the most handsome man she has ever seen and she can't get him out of her head. When he tells her he wants her for the summer she agrees
I didn't realize this was a trilogy and I'm not sure I want to continue with the second book

A contemporary dark romance, this book made me think about innocence and beauty. Obsession and deep attraction can feel so similar when you have nothing to measure against, without the life experience that comes with age.

The book was well done structurally. Too many exclamation points and the continuous change of POV from one character to the next without clear delimitation made difficult for me to stay focused while reading.

My recommendation is that if you like dark romances with age gaps and characters acting their age, you pick this book up. Be warned that the book ends with a hook to keep reading into the series.

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. The opinions expressed are my own.

Received this book on a giveaway and I am so glad to discover author Tatiana Vedenska. Her vivid description of the characters and their world takes the reader to Russia, Berlin and London where we learn Maxim, a drop dead gorgeous photographer with a scarred past is part of a rich Russian mob family and he does not like anyone to say the word no to him. His privileged life is a far cry from the beautiful woman he meets. His prey is a sweet and intelligent veterinarian student named Arina who catches his attention when she happens to drop in on his gallery show unexpectedly. The sparks fly from there. I am going off to Amazon to get the rest of this series!

Whoa!!! Not the novel for me by far. Should have researched before starting. Filled with extremely detailed erotica and ends in a total cliff-hanger. The only reason I completed the book was to see if the relationship was satisfactorily resolved, but who knows? Will NOT be reading anything else by this author.

Sorry to say I almost stopped reading because it was just like 50 Shades of Gray. No substance, just different countries and characters. I kept going until the end to see if it might have something besides sex. The end of the book isn’t the end but trying to get you to read the next one. Not going to waste my time. Sorry this is the worst review I have ever given a book

Nothing to rave about

It was a hard to story for me to follow. I like the characters in general and they are well rounded, but the flow of the story is hard for me to follow. The writing could be better. All in all, not a bad story, but I won't be reading the sequels.
