Hypnosis with the Hard to Hypnotise: How to do Inductions with Resistant Clients, Analytical Subjects and Others who may be Difficult to Hypnotise

Rate this book
Hypnosis with the Hard to Hypnotise, the 6th book in The Inductions Masterclass series, addresses a common challenge that most hypnotists and hypnotherapists have how do you hypnotise analytical subjects and resistant clients? Graham Old questions some of the more frequent advice given on the subject, with grace and clarity. The idea of resistance is questioned and re-imagined as an interactional event, rather than a trait of particular clients. In much the same way, analytical subjects are considered to be a myth and polarity responders are reframed. To top it all, the book takes a fresh look at the subject of confusion, detailing what it is, who it is useful for, how to use it - and why it may be best to avoid it. The notion of kinaesthetic confusion and the importance of phenomena is reiterated as essential when working with so-called analyticals. Numerous inductions and strategies are recommended, to ensure that hypnotists of all experience levels are confident and excited about working with those clients they might have previously feared were too hard to hypnotise. This is the first time that the Modified Wicks Induction has been seen in print.
