Released in 1987 the methods described in this book are beyond outdated. Unless you're looking for programming tips for a machine of that era, none of this is going to be useful in an intended way.
It is a relic more than anything, something of an era long gone. It can offer great insight into early computer graphics such as underlying math of flying simulators and other things reliant primarily on graphics.
If you're a writer and your story is set in the late 80s to early 90s and your character is a programmer or you're writing a paper on graphics of the era, you would find this very useful. Otherwise, it is a rare book that would look good on a shelf of any game developer or animator who values the history of the craft.
