A beauty, a beast, and a prince in the making …Sophia is at a crossroads. Her fashion design label has faltered and her sister’s betrayal continues to haunt her. When she moves into Sea Glass Inn, she does so with questions—and plenty of baggage.
Enter handsome Wade, the inn’s longtime business consultant. Wade strolls into her life wearing designer suits and looking like a young Antonio Banderas. When he offers to help Sophia jump-start her business, he may just be the prince she needs.
Unless writer-in-residence CJ Capra gets in the way, that is. The enigmatic friend of her brother has come to the inn to crush writer’s block after experiencing a setback of his own doing.
When Sophia is faced with a new crisis, the fissure in her confidence deepens. Will the wind bring new love or sweep away all hope of a fairy tale ending?
Windswept, book 3 of the Sea Glass Inn Novels, is a sweet, inspirational romance that shows the power in forgiveness.

The Sea Glass Inn series centers around a small hotel chain owned by the Riley family. By this, the third in the series, we feel that the staff and owners are a big family that works and supports together to keep things going smoothly. Jackson Riley has run the hotel chain since the death of his father William. After William died, Jackson found out that he has a half sister, Sophia, who was raised in Italy and New York. We met Sophia briefly in the second book, Runaway Tide. She is moving into the Sea Glass Inn in coastal California, the home hotel, in this book. Sophia has spent her whole working with fabric, designing and sewing her own creations, even selling her creations during Fashion Week. She is at a crossroads in her life when she moves to be near her brother and sister in law, Meg, sales director for the hotels. Meg and her best friend and hotel concierge, Liddy, see a creation of Sophia's, a lovely dress that they encourage her to wear to an outing with them. After Liddy posted a picture of Sophia in the dress on Instagram, it went viral. Sophia's agent called her with the message that lots of people are interested in buying her dress to resell in their stores. From this point, a whirlwind of activity begins as Sophia works to come up with a line of creations to show at Fashion Week in NYC. Wade is a social media specialist hired by Jackson to help promote the hotel line and get in on track. The hotel chain is in financial straits because of trouble caused by Sophia's half sister, Gia. Wade takes an interest in Sophia and works to help her with her business dealings. Christian and Jackson have been friends since college. Christian is an author who had a run in with a reviewer that ended with a fight, causing his agent and publisher to end their contract with him. Jackson invited him to stay at Sea Glass Inn to try a different place to work on his new book. Christian's cover designer posted a picture of his new book prematurely on Facebook, causing problems with his old agent. Both Wade and Christian are interested in Sophia. She is a gentle soul who seems to like and get along with everyone. She appreciates all the help that Wade gives her. She laughs easily with Christian and enjoys his company. Both are artists that understand each other. Jackson doesn't want her to get involved with his hot headed friend, Christian, and he thinks that Wade is great. I pinned my hopes on her liking one over the other. But you will have to read the book to find out what happens. It is a long and winding road that leads to the end. This is a series that feels like in each new book we are visiting old friends, enjoying their company and seeing what is new in their lives. Ms Carobini does a great job at character development and coming up with an interesting plot that keeps the action moving along at an even and fast pace. I received a complimentary ARC from the author. The thoughts and opinions stated are mine only.
Sometimes I just want to go to the beach, you know? But I live in Colorado. My solution? I read Julie Carobini and I'm never disappointed. I just finished Windswept, Book 3 in her Sea Glass Inn novels, and it was as captivating as the first two books. Sophia and Christian are still with me - characters I want to spend more time with. But other characters from the series populate the book as well, and I love getting to peek into their lives again. Sophia and Christian each work at overcoming incidents from their pasts that threaten to flavor their futures in negative ways. If you want to "get away" this winter, grab a copy of Windswept, feel the sea breeze and warm sun, and find out more about these intriguing people.
This is the third book in the Sea Glass Inn series by Julie Carobini. I read the first two books and was not disappointed in this third one. I love how she develops the characters and you can easily get caught up in their lives so much that you feel like they are your friends. Sophia moves from New York to California to be near her newly discovered brother and his wife and lives at the Sea Glass Inn they have inherited together from their Father. The real life situations and issues that they deal with strengthen the bonds of family and friends. There is of course some romance thrown in and developing friendships but always clean with good values. I recommend the entire series, however this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone as well. I continue to think about the story even after the last page is turned.
Sophia awaiting suitcase with her latest designs, distracted by a stranger Christian was the stranger while her brother waited in car. Would be staying at the inn also, as a writer, working on his book. She would be living at the inn, new sounds, deciding what to do with her business. Even wearing an old design, a dress of color, instead of the usual black and white. She has lost her confidence in designing, asking for advice. When you have hit bottom time to think big, is Wades advice to her. Would she take it. I found this story to flow beautiful of human emotions, the doubts they were having as a writer, designer, and inn owner. The bantering with Christian , to the love with Neg, and Jackson. Highly recommend reading. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion .
This story was so special to me because I saw some of my self in the main characters. Doubts and insecurities about ourselves is so easy to have but not easy to overcome. I did not want to put it down once I started reading. I like the location because I love the ocean. I truly enjoyed the main characters interactions. They really connected but it took them so long to see it. It was a wonderful journey through their story.
The plot was fine, but sometimes it was difficult to keep up with the identification of the characters and their responses. One time it appeared that the wrong pronoun was used for a character. Several times I had to go back and reread to get the sense of what was said and who said it. The novel could use some good editing.
This series of books that include a family full of difficulty but also love for each other is set of course by the waters of California. The characters are complex and yet drew me into their story and I could just picture the Inn and the beach it surrounds. I wanted to know this family and thoroughly enjoyed these books.
A moving story off forgiveness, family, and love; with angst and issues thrown in. I loved the main characters of this book, Sophia and Chris, although I frequently wanted to give them a shake and bellow at them to just communicate. Actually, I felt that way about several characters including Jackson. Wonderfully written and heart warming. Looking forward to the next book.
Two guys after the girl? A clothing design on the rocks gets a boost. We hear all about internet marketing and influencing and an author finishes his book and fires his agent and publisher in he process. I think a lot of folks will get into this one and yes I’m downloading the next one
Sophia reminds me of so many other, truly talented people. They fail to recognize their own brilliance.
The only negative I can see are details that are referred to, but never truly followed through on. Did Christian's ex-agent sue him or not? I'd really have enjoyed seeing that one resolved.
This series has got to be at the top of my list. Magical story that grips into your very being. Cannot wait until the next book captures Christian and Sophia’s next moments
Loved this third book in the series! It made me get mad at some of the characters at times and cheer for others. Once again, I loved seeing the characters develop throughout the story!
Sophia's story is so gentle because of who she is. I wasn't sure she would ever get to express what she wanted. It is a stern reminder to those of us who are extroverts to step back and give our friends and loved ones time to communicate on their terms.
This was a great continuation of this series of 4! Modern Christian fiction with a little bit of everything. (Although the last book included some suspense that was absent in this installment.) I especially loved the descriptions of the dresses! I would totally be tempted to buy a red one! :)

I love the way Julie ties the lives of her characters together. You become a part a bystander looking in on their lives and cheering for them on the sidelines. Can’t wait to start the next book.
I have devoted the first three in this series! I love these characters…. Can’t wait to finish #4….. will there be more? I will definitely look for more by this author. A great read!
