Not a bad read. I can see the author tries very hard to make her stories sound funny, so some sound unnatural. But, what irritates me most is the plots; most stories have two storylines and it confuses me. In one particular story, she crammed two plots which are so unrelated to each other that I have to read the title back again. It seems like she writes something and then she doesn’t like it, so she decides to leave it there and launches another storyline. But I can clearly see her loving kindness and goodwill, and that’s the book’s saving grace.
Nothing really happened. It was utterly underwhelming. At first, I thought it was about a childhood story taken place 50 or so years ago when they were talking about not alot of people having television set, then a few chapters later when they were talking about 'Myanmar Idol', I feel cheated. The aspect itself sometimes show interesting perspective, but just not enough. And, the voice of a child is only innocent and refreshing sometimes and seemed forced most of the time.
