WYLDE: BOOKS 1-3

Rate this book
This compilation of the two previous WYLDE books JOHNNY WYLDE and TWO'S WYLDE with 60,000 additional words of new story brings the WYLDE story to a dramatic finale. The two previous books have been revised, corrected and combined to flow with the new content. WYLDE is a manic gunfighter-noir-crime story that blows up in high drama when you mix a bar bounder with a shadowy military past, a gleefully criminal South African gun dealer, a sado-masochistic Russian couple who traffic in weapons and women, a Buddhist exotic dancer, a man-killing woman detective, assorted highly skilled dark side shooters and the sunniest down-home female assassin in the business. Lyrical sex. Poetic violence. And poetry. For adults only. Rated R for graphic sex, violence, language and mordant humor.

This is a fast-paced, intriguing book written by a guy who's been there, done that. The real-world experiences of the author shine through.

It drew me in right from the start and kept building throughout. There were some POV issues intermittantly - switching between 1st to 3rd and back - but they didn't happen enough to make me put the book down. The story line was enjoyable enough that I could overlook a glitch or two.

Brilliant!
This book pulls you straight into the plot and doesn't let go. Great wit and plenty of action. Although there are a lot of gun descriptions, this is not some "prepper" lesson, it's just about what we imagine the realism is like for these types of operators. The characters are well filled out and you get to care about the outcome. Get the one book version of the trilogy, then you don't need to stop between stories!!

Like heavy duty operators? You'll love these books!

Plenty of action, both physical and sexual. If you're into combat operators doing their thing with realistic tools and lots of action (with twists and turns inserted in the right places) you will enjoy these books. You can't read just one though, plan on reading all three.

A fitting end

Wynne finally closes the trilogy with a wild ride.

The final battle had a surprise twist that anyone whose done work knows can happen.
