This was book 2 in the
"Soul of the Sinner"
and a really good book that I liked a lot. This book has a hot cover. Adele Day has been living in her car after leaving her abusive husband Garth. Garth was married to her bestfriend who died turns out he was abusive. Alexis gets her a job at her brother’s place and she meets Alex who she will be working for at the bar. Sparks begin to fly between her and Alex who turns out to be mobbed up. This was a pretty good read at the beginning I felt back for Adele and was glad that the book had a happy ending. This book was well written like book 1 in this series with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I been with Rumer since the begining. she found me looking for a PA and I'm so thankful she did. It's quite an honor . I have seen her grown into something wonderful with her writing . I know she is going to make it big with her stories . I am always drawn in and these are the first mafia/bad boy gangster type genere for me and I have fallen in love .

Adele is married to a very abusive man name Garth. He was so good to her before they were married. His first wife and Adele’s best friend Mary Ann drowned and she had never said anything bad about Garth being abusive. So it was such a shock after Adele married him. Adele runs away from her home, her life and her abusive husband. She is living in her car and using the mall's bathroom to clean up in. This is where she meets Alexis. Alexis gets her a job at her brother’s place and she meets Alex who she will be working for at the bar. Alex doesn’t like it one bit, and the sparks fly. This starts out as a very sad book but becomes a happy ending story. I have to say I fell in love with this story. It has lots of twist and turns, This is the first book I have read by Rumer Raines and can’t wait to check out other books. I highly recommend this book if you like a lot of action in your stories. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.

A young woman, who recently escaped an abusive relationship, ends up working in a bar, run by some ‘shady characters’ – will it be her salvation or cause her even more problems?
The story line was simple but incredibly effective – I ended up really invested in the characters and was kept wondering whether things would turn out ‘for the best’ or not. It reminded me of a series like ‘Dallas’, in that it wasn’t high art but was very entertaining.
My overall rating would be 4.5 as some of the writing was a little bit off, but not enough to distract from the fast paced storyline.
If you enjoy steamy thrillers (be warned that some of the plot is ‘adult’ in nature) then this book is worth a look.

A thrilling page turner, Dirty Assets, was a riveting story filled with action, sex, violence, and justice! Raines did a terrific job with the well-written characters that complimented the developed plot perfectly. Especially with the villain to this story, Garth; the cold-hearted, twisted, vile man that made me feel a vengeful desire for him that I couldn’t wait to read the outcome of his demise. Dirty Assets was an easy read, never lacked in keeping the reader interested, and was pleasantly original.

You know a book is going to worth the read when you find yourself making an idiot out of yourself by screaming and yelling at the pages. This book was a sexy and fun read that entertained my from beginning to end. I loved the smart nasty mouth of Alex and the strength that was Adele. This was a book that is full of emotions and chemistry. Thank you for letting me read this and write about it honestly.
