One killer. Three dead. Now you're in the cross-hairs.
A college shooting sends the campus into a panic. A sniper hunts a small town.
Now Special Agent Scarlett Bell must find the shooter before more innocent lives are lost.
Is the sniper a member of a fringe white supremacist group? Scarlett gets off on the wrong foot with a local detective when she questions who the killer is. Scarlett's boss doesn't trust her methodologies, the detective undermines the investigation, and Scarlett's partner wants her out of harm's way. Good thing Scarlett never plays by the rules.
But Scarlett must watch her back. The nation's most feared serial killer is stalking Scarlett, and he knows secrets about her past which link him to a gruesome murder from Scarlett's childhood.
Two killers. A growing body count. Can Scarlett stop them?
I'm really enjoying how the two main characters interact with one another. The 'bad guy' of the story is awful but in a good fictional way. Will be reading many more from this series!
I liked the style this was written in, though the author slipped up one by having a LEO name the killer before they knew his identity. Good series. I'm looking forward to the rest.
This book reminded me of an episode of Criminal Minds, killer shooting out of trunk. The one thing that Dan Padavona does in his books is that he gives who the killer is, but there is still an element of suspense. He makes you wonder how Scarlett Bell is going to take down the killer. Dan Padavona has also turned up the Logan Wolf element, this is starting to get more play. You are getting to see how the Logan Wolf element is effecting Scarlett Bell. This was not my favorite Scarlett Bell book but it was still good, I'm not one who likes sniper stories, that is just me. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
i have really enjoyed reading the scarlett bell series! they’re very short, easy reads. i like how the stories feel complete and leave me satisfied even though they’re all like 150 pages or less. it feels very unique to learn about the main characters, scarlett and gardy, over the course of the entire series. it’s interesting because they are developed well enough in the first book to b satisfying, but we learn so much more as the series progresses. the book/series layout reminds me of my favorite shows like bones, csi, and criminal minds. i’m excited to continue reading this series and dan padavona’s entire backlist!
Kill Shot, the third book in the Scarlett Bell Dark FBI Thriller series is as good as the first two. Bell and Gardy, both FBI profilers, are again searching for a serial killer. They are racing against the clock as the sniper due to kill again. It is a fast-paced novella with great characters. As a back story, they are also on the lookout for one of their own…. ex-FBI profiler, Logan Wolf. Unfortunately for them, this master profiler seems to be stalking Bell. Looking forward to reading the next chapter in Scarlett’s life. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
This is my third book I have read in this series, and I am enjoying them greatly. These stories are written so well, full of description of these characters personality. Exciting and satisfying. I love how the writer has left off unnecessary fillers and tells the story concisely. It is impressive how well he does this! How do you do that? Love it....can't wait for more.
I give 3 1/2 stars only because the story is so short. However, it it's a well written story with a good storyline which has a nice flow. Also I need to state that I received this book free, with an agreement to give a honest review. This is a nice little read
Student killed at university. Bell and Grady called in to profile. Local police aren't welcoming. Then old nemesis shows up or is it Bell's imagination? No spoilers. Go read the series.
I am really enjoying the Scarlett Bell series. Even though they’re short they’re packed with action and suspense. Gardy and Bell make great partners. Can’t wait to read another one.
This is definitely a series of novellas. Quick, easy to follow and always easily solved in one sitting. Hopefully we will get hints to the real story as these quick reads progress.
Another great read, the characters are fully developed, integrate well with the storyline. Killer Shot was a gripping story of turmoil and suspense. You just figure out who done it. Read the book in one sitting.
Gardy and Bell hunt for a sniper excites this reader
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I did make the mistake of reading this book out of order but I did get a feeling of the Garde-Bell team and how they work together. Great read, suspenseful, page-turner. Highly recommended.
Discovered this series completely by accident over Easter while looking for some shorter length audio books to listen to while going about my day to day and was absolutely delighted with the find.
Each audiobook is roughly 3 hours in length and covers a new case each book while continuing the main story of the FMC Scarlett Bell.
I finished the first 3 books in one day because they were so good and I needed more.
If you are a fan of quick listen audiobooks, the mystery/thriller genre and enjoy shows like Criminal Minds then this is definitely series you should add to your TBR/TBL.
