Life feels impossible when you don’t know who you are.
When Rosie wakes after her year-long coma, she opens her eyes to a world she doesn’t recognize, in a body she doesn’t understand. While her mind is convinced she’s sixteen years old, her country hasn’t stopped needing her to fight for them. When the man in green body paint tries to convince her that they’re married, Rosie runs away from Avalon, determined to find out who’s telling the truth, and most importantly, who she is. Not knowing who she can trust, Rosie leaves no stone unturned in her quest to remember the lives she’s forgotten. When she comes across a charming man named Dub, Rosie has to decide if following him into the unknown will lead her to a better life, or if trusting Dub will be her ruin.

This book is #14 of the Faìte Falling/Rising/Reborn series and if you’ve made it this far, honestly congratulations. you’ve endured so much action, adventure, love, heartbreak, devastation and moments of pure bliss that i can’t blame you for wanting to get this far. these books were honestly what got me through the end of my semester. being able to experience Ro’s relationships and see how they develop and change firsthand is truly incredible. the way that author, Mary E. Twomey writes is so captivating that it has me reading every second i’m not fully engrossed in something else. these characters became family for each other and they became my family. I don’t think i’ve ever known love the way that I have for a group of big angry Eirish men, ruling royalty, immortals, and animals. Id like to say thank you to Ms. Twomey for showing me what family looks like. for showing me that if you love someone, and you know who you are, that walking out is never an option. thank you for showing me that I need people in my life who are going to be stable and constantly surrounding me with love and encouragement. Thank you. If i could give you a big hug i would but instead i’ll have to settle with singing Links songs in my head and repeating Kerdiks devotions to Rosie for the rest of my fully mortal life. “Rosie i love ye, rosie i care, without you my hearts in despairrrrrrr”. I think the best part for me was being able to identify with rosie simply because that was my nickname growing up. it made the whole experience so much more meaningful and I absolutely loved every minute of it. :)))

I fell down the rabbit hole for this book hard. Before that it was Undraland and before that was Terraway... This series was amazing! I always feel a loss after finishing Mary. E Twomeys series because I end up living and breathing for her characters and stories. Faite was vibrant and the characters were likable, I loved the ending and am happy that Rosie truly was where she belonged.
In fairness to the author, it appears that this book is the 14th book in a series. It is the FIRST book in that series that I have read. So MUCH of what I have to say might not apply at all, had I been reading along, all the time. But I wasn't, so as a first time reader in the series.
The book had a really weird and disorienting start, for me. You literally are in different worlds between the first and second chapters. And it never really explains how you got from one place to the other.
This book is hard to classify in terms of genre. It could be pure fantasy. It could be a young adult book. It had some aspects of an epic adventure. There was supernatural. There was also some reverse harem stuff going on. I found it interesting, but I would have liked some of the back story. I had a sense that it could be part of a series, but no clue it was the LAST book in the series. Having not been exposed to any of the back story or the characters, however, it was hard keeping up with things. A few clues, (or MORE clues, if they were in there and I just missed them), would have been nice.
The first 2/3 of the book deals with the mysterious memory loss of the protagonist. It is never fully explained how this was accomplished. The why makes some sense, but without knowing more of the back story, I am not sure how much.
I give the author good marks for keeping this a clean read. There is some mild language, but nothing beyond that, and I would not be embarrassed for my teenagers to read this.

One thing that I found unusual is that the author made quite a bit of use of certain descriptions for how her characters reacted. A thesaurus would have come in handy. She used "quirked" as a verb, at least a dozen times...It felt like more than that. I guess it CAN be a verb, but it *irked* me how much quirking was going on. There was also a whole lot of sniggering going on. I know of one other writer who does this a lot in her young adult books. If I didn't know better, I might think it was just a pen name for THIS author. It is noticeable, because I have never seen anyone else use those words in that way; certainly not so often. It was a distraction, more than a detraction, but it was noticeable enough that I felt the need to comment.
My only other comment is that this was a pretty LONG read. I think it could have been 100 pages or more shorter and not lost much of the story. Even in key parts of the story, there was a lot of surplus verbiage.
Sorry, this is gonna be a long one… Holy hell, this was a seriously amazing series. I was so completely captivated from the very first chapter! The writing is utterly fantastic, I seriously have zero control over my emotions the entire way through. I think I balled my eyes out a million times. The characters, I've never, and I mean NEVER been so completely obsessed over any others in my life. Poor Rosie goes through so many many things that one cannot help but feel as if you are going through it all with her, and her heart is so pure. Her personality is so relatable too, I loved her from the very start, I respected all her choices even if they weren't all ones I would've made. But it wasn't just Rosie, literally every character in this series held my heart in some way. I bought the first book in this series when I saw it listed for free one random day in 2018 and it just sat on my kindle until I was randomly scrolling through my books and decided it was finally time to read it. I loved it so much from the very start that I have blown through the entire 14 book series in less than 4 days, that's how much I've loved it! I'm so sad to say good bye to these characters now. So, I very highly recommend that you all read it, then report directly back to me so we can talk over every freakin detail. I seriously need it!
Faîte Falling/ Faîte Reborn is a 14-Part Urban Fantasy Series based in French Folklore.
Dear Reader - Due to the plot of this last book in the series, I did not feel safe in providing a quote, like I usually do. I looked long and hard and believe that I would have provided spoilers, had I given a quote from this book. I will say that one will need a box of Kleenex at hand, whilst perusing this Poetic Tale. As you know, Darling Reader - I Never reveal spoilers so that everyone can truly relish each book.
Mary E. Twomey Delivered a Powerful finale to this Awesome 14-part series! She kept me guessing right up until the last page and what a Thrill-Ride it was. Queen Rosie’s second life with Kerdick is not a bed full of just roses, but a few thorns are thrown into the mix to keep it interesting.
Each character grows into their own. The world-building continues, with Lyrical Narratives of creatures, flora and fauna. This novel genuinely holds one’s awareness of the journey that Rosie and Kerdick, are on within their marriage.
I so Highly Applaud this final book in the series and Encourage You Beautiful Bookworm, to please add this novel to your home library.
This was a hard read for me. The underlying story and world building was good. Very good. There were excellent cliffhanger moments. But I’m probably the only person who didn’t enjoy this series as much as others did. I’m not even going to rate it. If I ever have to read the words “super way” together again in another sentence (as in “wow that was super way cool of you!”) I’m gonna pull my eyelashes out. By book 4 I no longer liked the FMC or the first MMC love interest we are introduced to. Their relationship struck me as abusive. He yo-yo’d her too many times. She was way too naive and juvenile for me at 24 years old. And part way through she’s aged into her 80s.. but appears to still be 24, and from the writing, it’s like she never matured or experienced character growth. The words “super way” being used by a woman who’s lived over 80 years? As for the second MMC loved him the first half, much much less the second. There’s a happy ending My favourite characters were Lugh, Demi, Reyn, and Remi.

I am so sad that this series has come to an end. This book is the ultimate closure to one of the best fantasy series I have EVER read! Rosie has certainly dealt with her trials and tribulations, as well as many others is the magnificent cast of characters that travel with us through each book. One thing is certain, have your box of tissues at your side, I cannot think of ONE of the books that didn't bring me to tears at some point. The writing: Brilliant! The story: Brilliant! If you are looking for a captivating series from start to finish you will find it here! Before I read this author, I had never read any fantasy tomes, however, I am now a convert! Now, this is a genre in which I seek out books. An adventure to rival the writings of many of the best-known authors! An adventure you won't be sorry you started! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and these are my own, honest unsolicited review.

Mary has taken us in a 14 book adventure that I’m sure you fell in love with. I wasn’t sure what to expect with Only Girl. I felt like there was still so much story to tell. Too much to zip up they could be completed in one book. But, with every enamoring page questions were answered and my worries disappeared. She tied in twists I didn’t even thing possible and didn’t allow myself to hope for. This is the conclusion we’ve been waiting for. The best part is knowing Rosie is her own adventure. And Kerdik and Lough bring out the best in her.

I have to admit im so devastated the series is over. If you have never read the series make sure you start at book one! And please read the series! This book was hard for me when you love these characters and this world and its a good bye. While i was sad to see it over the book itself was a good way to go out. While shes amazing at cliff hangers she always knows how to end. Ill always want more. But if you love getting wrapped in a world then definitely jump into this one!

Mary E. Twomey has taken us on one epic adventure through 14 books in the Faite Falling series! It has been bittersweet to see this series come to an end, but you will not be disappointed! I have loved everything about the characters, the adventure, the romance that it all comes together so beautifully in Only Girl. Rosie is put to the test once again and given an almost impossible task, especially now that her memories are gone, but it is the help of her friends and her own strength that she will not be deterred from anything. Get ready for a fantastic conclusion!
I was totally addicted to this series. It was a good mixture for me. It had some humor, love and other creatures. I think the stories all flowed smoothly. I did sometimes get annoyed with some of Rose's vocabulary, almoat wishing it would grow up a little. But it was still a great series and I was able to visualize moat of the characters due to the author's descriptions and imagery. I am glad I found this series and will definitely try out some of her other books.
I have been tossed into a dream land.i love all of these books. This being the last really hit me hard. I found myself soggy half way into the first chapter. I loved K from the beginning. My heart broke with J being lost in his mind.of course the time they spent I got soggy again. And dub.mmmmmm dub. Can I just say lugh forever omg. Job well done mary.
Only Girl by Mary E. Twomey is a wonderful story to read. This is book number fourteen in this series and leaves you wanting more to read from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves general fantasy stories to read.

I’ve loved this story so much. If I have to leave this world behind it’s good to know they had a happy ending. The terrifying green man tuned out to have a heart bigger than most and has ruined all other green men for me. Including Kermit!

Excellent read, this is a book that stands out as something special. Great story, well plotted and unmissable. If I had a hard copy, it would probably be dog-eared by now.

Mary can't write anything that bores you, she sucks you in and enthralled you with every word she writes! Good luck getting anything else done as you won't be able to put her stories down!
Another great book by Mary E. Twomey! Couldnt put it down. You will not he disappointed. So happy to see the lead girl have her happy ever after after with the man she loves and gets a happy ending with a guy she can proudly call dad
Honestly I didn't think I would love the series at first. As I kept reading and this world unfolded in my mind I just fell more in love with every book I read. Thank you for taking me on this adventure.
This whole series has to be read by everyone! So much of real life is expertly entwined with this fantasy tale, that you won't be able to stop reading from book 1 to book14. You won't be able to turn off all the emotions you'll feel. WELL DONE!
