First published in 1951, Marshal Without Glory' is the biography of Hermann Goering, one of the chief leaders in the notorious Nazi hierarchy. The detail is mixed, with a lot of detail of Goering's WW1 exploits as well as the period of the 1930s. WW2 coverage is patch, with barely 3 pages devoted to 1939-1940, and somewhat vague coverage thereon up to 1945. The detail returns with the last days of WW2 followed by the Nuremburg trials and his death. Altogether very interesting, but flawed.
