Murder à la mode… What could go wrong when barreling down a mountain in a souped-up sled? A typical play day in the snow turns deadly when Ella, alongside her geriatric friends and the town’s handsome inventor, discover the body of one of the local residents. And it wasn’t the weather that killed him. Still reeling from the discovery, Ella participates in the local pie bake for charity. Soon after, a vandal breaks into the diner and destroys the donated desserts, leaving Wink injured in the process. With her friend’s life potentially in danger, Ella searches for the guilty party of the pumpkin pie massacre. But the murder and the vandalism might be more related than she thinks. Can she stop the killer before there’s another Christmas corpse? The mysteries and hijinks continue in book three in the Traveling Town Mystery series.
The mystery itself was interesting, but the basic premise is getting more and more muddled. In the previous book, I thought there were hints about who might have caused the time jumps, but that was totally ignored in this book.
I'm getting really tired of the snarky banter between Ella and Flo and Ella's flippant use of cultural references that the original residents of the town are never going to understand.
While barreling down the hill (and crashing) with Flo and Wink on a modified snow sled, Ella discovers the dead body of one of the village's two Norsemen. There is a language barrier, but Ella, a linguist, manages to convey the news to the other man. Did he murder his friend? Much mayhem ensues and the case is finally solved, with Ella and her friends investigating and always seeming to be one step ahead, or is it behind, their 1800's sheriff. There is a pie massacre and destroyed kitchens, and lots of goings on for this 21st century character dealing with her friends from many other times and places. Always interesting spending time with the inhabitants of Keystone Village.
A crazy sledding adventure with Wink, Flo, Ella and Will leads to finding ANOTHER body. The author has a wonderful sense of humor. I love the sarcastic banter between the three friends, and it is something you can hear yourself saying, maybe not always out loud like Ella & Flo, but none the less.
I sort of want to be trapped in this crazy travelling town. With warm clothes of course.
"Another Murder Mystery In The Time-Travelling Town"
This is the third story about the residents on the time-travelling town. There is murder and vandalism which Ella and her geriatric friends help solve. Totally entertaining and a fun read. I loved it and can't wait to know about their next travel site!
This series is so awesome and the story line is original. It just pulls you in! With every book, it's like finding another treasure! I get more excited with every book!! Thank you for writing this for your readers! I don't think you will be disappointed!!! You've got to try it!!😃
I laughed and laughed at the antics of some of the characters in this. Definitely worth reading and getting to know the characters and storylines. So funny.
This was another fun read and enjoyable experience. It even had two mysteries going on at the same time. Great character development, too! Can't wait to see where that leads.
Funny romp with the time traveling group as they blunder thru solving the latest murder. Souped up sleds, pumpkin pies and crazy hijinks in the snowbound town lead to the solving of several crimes plus the murder of a local resident.
