Winning an empire was the easy part. Keeping it will be harder. After killing Rahaab, the most powerful dragon on Earth, Steven Drokharis knew he’d have to fight to keep what he’d won, but the cabal that killed his father was just the tip of the iceberg. He’ll have to fend off a cult of shapeshifters, magical constructs, and two devious, busty, machine-gun-toting twins, all while keeping his Escort of human and dragon women satisfied. Meanwhile, the eyes of ancient demons are ever searching for signs of dragons, and the deadliest threat may be close to home. Texas Showdown (American Dragons Book 4) is a shoot-em-up, action adventure, urban fantasy novel which is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This novel contains swearing, violence, and a harem of beautiful shapeshifting women that the hero regularly sleeps with—and he does so gladly.
I enjoyed this book a lot and was happy to see the development of the story and the characters. The MC is starting to grow powerful and the supporting characters are interesting and important to the story. The author kept me engaged with the story and the time flew while I enjoyed this book.
Steven is trying to figure out who wants to assassinate him. More dangerous and sweet women come into his life. The strategy and tactics of the dragonsoul game are intriguing. His desire to protect his family of women and friends is compelling. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
Well, I already love this series too much Stevie is a cool character and all other women are just wonderful with each person having their own personality. And Indian pop culture references. Yes!
I came across this series and ever since I have been glued to the goings on of Dragons across the world. This the 4th book just keeps surprising me non stop as i thought what else can Aaron do but no he just keeps adding more intrigue, battles and the size of his Harem. Well all of the above make me a happy happy reader so now I just need him to hurry up with book 5 and I can't wait to see what else is going to happen. This was a pick up from the start and put down at the end when done nothing else suffices so 5 stars easy
This book is great. Very well written, some editing errors. (Misspelled words, grammar errors. In other words simple mistakes that don't detract from the overall enjoyment of the reading experience.
Overall, I would say that this book is even better than the last one. I can not wait for the next one to come out.
I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good adult Sci-fi / Fantasy book. (with a harem twist.😊)
The book was alright. I didn't enjoy any of the twins chapters. They were necessary but not fun to read. Aria and Mouse felt left out of the story which can be excused with a growing harem. But Steven kept making dumb choices that didn't need to be dumb. cut off the bosses fingers while he's unconscious. Now the fights easier. Also, what happened to saving the world? Now they wanna bail on it? Why?
My review is based on the audiobook. This is my first read by this author and I found it fascinating. The characters are well developed and the world building very descriptive. The narrator was wonderful bringing the story to life. Although this is book 4 I believe I was able to comprehend the story well even without reading previous books in the series. That being said I am interested enough to go back and start from the beginning to get the full story.
Steven is a dragon, but not your normal dragon. He wants a hoard, aries, and wives, but he wants to save all the dragons who spend their time waring with other Prime's that own large parts of the country as theirown. Steven has had his revenge for those responsible for the death of his fatherand family, but his father was a mighty sorcerer and his son is learning to be one too. Another fun read and I'm onto the next book.
Another great chapter in this thoroughly enjoyable series
Really enjoyed this book, the battles, intrigue, new additions to Stevens Escort. If he adds too many ladies to the core group, I’m worried favourite characters are not going to get the “screen time” they deserve. I’m waiting eagerly for the next book.
Once again I have to admit that after a rocky start reading the first book in the series I have come to enjoy each book in the series more and more, and this one is no exception. It builds on the sunspot the previous stories and promises of a lot more action to come in the following books.
A fast-faced read with enough twists and turns to keep you engrossed. Don’t start this book just before bedtime—you’ll be reading long past time for lights out.
I enjoyed this book just as much as the last three. Ironically I read this book on Christmas. The twins are very interesting indeed. I am looking forward to see where this story goes in the future.
More Primacies added to Steven's cause; means lots more action and excitement for everyone interested in a great read and a series that just gets better with every book!
The book was great, as with every book in the series. I just spent the last two hours finishing the book because I couldn’t put it down. If you haven’t read the series, or this book, what are you waiting for?
Big fan of this author but this series has to be my favorite from him. Huge cast of characters with new ones brought in every book without overpowering the main cast. Look forward to reading many more in this series.
Good storey and enjoyable story line. I love dragons and magic, and fighting. They author has really put them together into an action pasted yard worth the time to read and enjoy.
A really good book in a continually interesting series. The action is excellent, the characters develop, and the whole thing gets more interesting without giving much away. Good times.
A great rollicking slap round the face of clever, snazzy, sexy and fantasy. Dragons! Werebears! Were-hogs, magic, mayhem, artifact and a general weaving of folklore and legend into a giant coherent bar room brawl of a series. This is car crashingly good. Next please.
The books are good but the audio is better but the action and story keeps me coming back for more all the time. As the forces just keep coming against Stephen the skills of his women in all ways are what saves him and this series. Great writing and narration joined togeter well like they should be.
I just can't put the books down in this series, truly amazing story and I can't wait to read the next book in this series, I recommend this book to everyone
