The Silent Ones #2

Two years ago, Chase Grant walked away from his consultant work with the Seattle Police Department. He had decided he wanted a fresh start, and that was exactly what he got. Life has never been better for Seattle’s most storied detective. But Grant knows better than anyone that all good things come to an end, and peace of mind has an expiration date.

Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.

James Hunt's passion for writing began at an early age. While his journal of yesteryear may never be the work of great fiction, he's been working hard every day since then to bring pages to life. James has well over a decade of writing under his belt, but his professional career in literature didn't take off until 2014.

James currently lives in Orlando, FL and when he's not pounding away at the keyboard you can find him at the theater or somewhere outside enjoying the beautiful Florida weather.

"I am the final judgement."
Convicted serial killer Dennis Pullman continues his car and mouse murder game with one time detective, Chase Grant, trying to save his captives - it he can. But Pullman always seems to be on step ahead.
Short at just five hours, The Silent Ones, book 2 is one of non stop action, misery and gore plus characterisation to hold the reader's attention. A fast paced thriller hard to put down. But again there is no resolution: the serial must continue into book three.

Narration is by Gwendolyn Druyor. As with book 1, my comment must be that although she is excellent in many other book presentations and she does give a very reasonable performance here, sadly she was wrong for this book where the story mostly calls for male voices. Why, I wonder, this obsession to have a female reader whatever the story might suggest? It is not 'equality', just a foolish irritation.

My thanks to the rights holder who,at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via free Audiobook Codes. Recommended to all who enjoy fast paced psychological crime thrillers

Still a good story

I'm even more upset now that I've read book 2. I have to buy book 3 to get to the end of the story? Maybe book 4 or 5. I'm done. I didn't realize I was getting I to a serial story. The author is good at what he does. I just don't like not knowing how the story ends even after reading 2 books. It's not worth it to me.

Awesome

I love Chase Grant he was an amazing Detective. I am glad his storyline continues on....just so sad he is being portrayed as a vigilante and a killer when the choices he is given means someone will die.
