The competition over, Nymea Blut and her guard are back to real life, with a new objective. Queen Verity has decreed that Blutfeuer, Nymea’s family wineries and distilleries, branch out into the human realm, in order to bring more revenue into their new vision of Faerie. Nymea is ready and able, though she is going forward grudgingly.
A woman set in her ways, Nymea isn’t interested in humanity or humans, only creating her infusions and living quietly with her rag tag guard. If this will help Faerie, then she is a team player, but opposition is on the horizon.
But with new opportunities comes mysteries and provocations that Nymea and her guard are not prepared to handle. Flying blind through the world of corporate espionage wasn’t on the docket for their next phase but it seems nothing is ever cut and dry or easy.
And it’s going to take all their cunning and resources to make this transition as bloodless as possible.

Fascinating

After everything that went down in the last trilogy I was eager to get my hands on this newest installment. We get it learn more about Mea and the Blood Court both before and after Verity's takeover. There are also things going on in the human world as they expand their business. If course we have to have a touch of danger too just to keep things interesting. Well written fantasy world that will take you away from reality for a visit to the courts. Perfect for fans of reverse harem. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

I loved the Sleeping Court series. The characters were vivid and expressive. I fell in love with all of them. The princesses were all very strong and powerful during their trials to become queen. We were treated to small bits if their courts and the inhabitants that formed each one. The guards of each princess were individuals that complimented and strengthen each one. The authors brought to life each one in a realistic and honest way. It helped to connect the reader to the story.

My disappointment with this spin off series was the court. I wanted to know more about the Dank Court and Princess Gogo. Knowing that her story will come later I sank my teeth into Vexed.

The story started out long with a long start to the book. It was a lot of information in the first chapter so it took a bit of my slow reading time to get past it. I enjoyed all the characters but their interaction with each other and the world around them was genuine and made them real. The authors captured each ones essence and made me want to know more about each one. Lots of good backstory and tidbits tossed in at the right times. The story has me hooked again but... the damn cliff hanger will keep me waiting for the sequel, with much anticipation.

Chills

I love love love how you get some of the back story on the relationship Nymea has with her guard. They were already established when we "met" them in the Sleeping Court series and this takes place after that. Nymea is so much more than she appeared to be in the SC now that we can actually learn about her. Shes not as cold and well, ok she is crazy, but shes not as cold as she portrays herself to be. Tripp, Ryker and Bechar are working so hard to help her overcome what happened and keep themselves together too. Well, Tripp isnt any more crazy than usual so I'm taking that as a positive. I love the world that started being built in the SC series and I love it even more seeing a different side of it. Nymea is going to do big things. I totally see it happening. I cant wait to get my hands on book 2. I need to know what happens next.

I'm so glad we're going to get a taste of another court introduced in The Sleeping Court series. Princess Nymea is of the Blood Court and she's vexed! After Queen Verity announces that Faerie will begin to transition their "wares" to the human world, Mea knows that she's going to be tested. She doesn't like dealing with humans. And all the preparation in the world isn't working for her. With only 3 guards left (see The Sleeping Court) it's going to take all of them to keep her distracted, calm, and focused on bringing her infused alcohols to the human world. Think Lavender Pinot Grigio etc. There is something nefarious behind the scenes here, and it's desperately trying to go after the Princess. We're left hanging a moment at the end, but we only have to eagerly await the next story being released in one month.

Spin off

This book is the start of a series that is a spin off of the Sleeping Court books. Princess Nymea Blut and her remaining guards star in this one. We get to see some background on how she got her guards as well as how she feels about them. We also get to see some of the after effects of what took place in the other series. This book takes place mostly in the human world and her home. The style of writing is consistent with previous works. I would suggest reading the original series before starting this one, although it is not absolutely necessary. It will be much easier with background on the world though.

Great start off to the Blood Court series!

This book was a really good intro for the Blood Court series. We are introduced to Nymea and her Guard in the Sleeping Court series and Nymea is full of spunk, so I was excited to read this book and discover their back story. The authors tell the background of Nymea and her captain through flashbacks which I enjoyed immensely. There were a couple of grammatical errors/spelling mix ups, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the book. Overall this first installment to the Blood Court series was well written and ended on a cliffhanger so I can't wait for book two!!

Ok, I have been not so patiently waiting for this book and it was completely worth the aggravation. Nymea and her Guard are back at their Sithen after the events of the previous series. Nymea is trying to cope with her loss while being thrust into dealing with the human world. All kinds of shenanigans ensue and lots of sexy times with her men are had. I’m claiming Ryker. I’ve decided I’m going to have my own guard and so far I’m taking Nassar and Ryker. Can’t wait for the next book on February 15.

OMG! Princess Verity of the Sleeping Court is now Queen of Faerie and making changes. She has encouraged Princess Nymea Blut of the Blood Court to expand her business into the human realm. But someone doesn’t want her to succeed and is sabotaging her efforts. This book has us mourning the loss of Nymea’s guards, tightening the bonds of her remaining guards (break out the ice water) and finding a way forward. This story will suck you in and leave you gasping.

Blood Court book 1

Going from the Sleeping Court and over to the Blood Court. The story continues with Nymea and her guards and the expansion of their business from just faerie to include the human world.

I loved the beginning of Nymea's story and the second book can't come soon enough

Still..

After the sleeping court series, expectations are high for the Blood Court. I must say I am a little disappointed. I believe Dagmar needed to have spent a little more time building the story plot and themes..building substance. Way too much sex😕..With only enough real content to make you want to see what's coming next. I really hope book 2 is better...

It grew on me! At first I wasn't to sure about this court, until I read this book!

You read about this court in the previous series, sleeping court, with Princess V. I was a little weary of this court, but, with every Princess she has a story. This was a great intro for the blood court princess!

Vexed

I am well and truly vexed about the ending!
You'll have to read if you want to know.
As usual there is some stellar character building and the world is a continuation of the Sleeping Court series.
I loved every minute of this read.
Bravo!

AMAZING

Blood court is a continuation of Slumber Court, except with a new princess and new guards. We met Nymea and her guard in Veritys books. I loved learning more about Nymea and her court. The ending leaves some questions unanswered, but its an amazing book.

Amazing!!

The start of the Blood Court series is amazing. This book follows Nymea after Verity’s crowning. She needs to branch her company out into the human world. And of course someone wants to prevent it. Definite must read.

I really enjoyed Mea during the sleeping fort series and I was so excited to start the blood court. Her brash attitude and stern yet loving personality with her card and family is very endearing. I loved seeing the relationships with her remaining guard andThe hints at what is coming in her future. Although that cliffy is just mean! #TeamBechar

Life in the Blood Court

This book is spin off from The Sleeping Court Series and is focused on Princess Nymea Blut of the Blood Court. She lost two of her guard, out of five, during the trials covered in the previous series. The new Queen has also set Nymea the task of branching out her very successful wine and brewing business into the human realm. which is an awful lot of work for a princess who is 2/5th down in her immediate support network.

Though we met the characters in the previous series, we didn’t get to know them and their history particularly well, so there are a lot of flashbacks covering important times during their relationships. The information we get about the characters are mainly in relation to Nymea, rather than their personal history, but it’s a good start to getting to know them and how their relationships work.

During the branching out of the business into the human realm, they are starting to have to work with human business and they keep coming up against problems, from a mysterious company. So far they’ve got around them, but it looks like things might step up.

I like these characters, and getting to know them whilst they are already in a relationship is a very different experience to the first series where the harem build up over time.

Nymea is a tricky character. She’s half fae/half demon and she is very stubborn. She likes things done a certain way and it’s really hard to get her to change her mind. We get to see the guard through her eyes and how they relate to her, rather than each other.

As with the other series, this one is seriously hot and there is a lot of sex scenes, so either be warned or get excited, whichever is your inclination.

I think the next book will be much more plot driven, going on my experience of the previous series. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into this spin-off.

Blood Court Book One.

Now that Queen Verity's trials are over, Nymea Blut is finally able to get back to her real life. However, the queen has requested that Mea and her guard pull their business into the human world. Mea has never been good at dealing with humans, but when her business is concerned she will deal with it. She loves creating the new tastes and flavors of her company's wines and brews. When Mea and her guard find out there is a competitor with the same menu, they know something is fishy.

If you were interested in seeing Nymea and her court outside of Faerie, this is your chance.

I LOVE Mea!

So I've read all the Sleeping court books and am soooooooo happy they branched off to Nymea. Nymea has lost so much it is time to see her get her life back so to speak and go on some new adventures. She doesn't like dealing with humans and drama they make (because seriously, don't we all get tired of drama?) but she isn't going to let it keep her down and she is determined not to fail.
