Howling Holidays #1-4

Werewolf Kisses

Rate this book
My parents have ruined my life. And not like last time, when they gave me the birds and the bees talk. This time, they’ve really done it.

According to my mom, I’m a werewolf. Also, my lycanthropy is inherited … but can be passed like an STD. How gross is that?!

How am I supposed to survive pack politics, wolfsbane tea, and faerie princes on top of the holidays? I’ll tell you how: my boyfriend, Josiah. But what’s a werewolf to do when her mate’s mom is a werewolf hunter?

WEREWOLF KISSES (Howling Holidays #1 of 3) is a 120,000 word paranormal romance/mature young adult novel – it is NOT a reverse harem story. Includes cursing, mild sexual situations, crazy holiday antics, werewolves, werewolf hunters, magic, the fae, and true love.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

Oh my! This was such a cute and heartwarming and feel good read! I was already looking forward to reading it for quite a while and a little part of me wondered if it would be fun to read every story during the specific holiday, but I totally lack self control, especially when the story and characters are so nice. So, I just read the entire book today in one sitting.

Sylvia and Josiah are true teenagers in every sense of the word. They have hormones racing through their veins (much to their parents’ dislike), they think they are much more grown up than they actually are, they are a little reckless, they wanna solve all their problems themselves and they are hopelessly and cutely in love.

It’s easy to like them, especially because Stunich managed to capture the teenage mind and awkwardness, combined with the whole werewolf/hunter revelation, perfectly. Her writing style really fitted a sixteen year old and all their reactions felt really realistic. Especially the first story really made me giggle and laugh more than once.

And in between all the teenage awkwardness and clumsiness and stupidness, Stunich created an interesting world of supernatural beings. There’s politics, mythology and a whole wide world worth exploring. And even though it’s mostly a love story, the other elements are also interesting and prominent enough to not make it too sappy.

I really hope there will be more stories. I can’t wait to see in what kind of trouble these lovely werewolves will end up next time!

🐺ABSOLUTELY A MUST READ SERIES🐺

A Werewolf Christmas
I truly loved this short story. Anytime CM writes a book, no matter what it's a must 1 click. Sylvia just finds out that she will turn into a werewolf and accidentally infected her boyfriend. I loved every minute of this book and the characters (minus the grandma) I loved. Sylvia worry over her boyfriend Josiah dumping her because she is a werewolf but Sylvia doesn't know is Josiah is obsessed with werewolf. Amazing story that I can't wait to read the next book in this series series.

A Werewolf New Year’s

I can't get enough of Sylvia & Josiah. Sylvia & Josiah are werewolf mates and I love reading their story. Yes it's a short read but once you start reading you will become addicted to this series and these characters. I can't wait to read the Valentines day one next.

A Werewolf Valentine’s Day

I am so hooked on these short stories that I'm dying for more. I love reading Sylvia & Josiah wolf love story. I am counting down the days until the next book in this series comes out. Another amazing story from an amazing author.

A Werewolf St. Patrick’s Day

Absolutely addicted to this series. I love Sylvia & Josiah. Sylvia & Josiah are so excited to go to the retreat in Ireland but what starts as an amazing and freeing time comes to a halt when an Unseelie prince wants Sylvia as his bride. Even though this series is short, it will suck you in and have u wanting more. I can't wait to read A Werewolf Spring Break and get more Sylvia & Josiah.

This is a set of really sweet, holiday-themed shorts featuring Sylvia and Josiah. They are technically stand-alone stories; however, they do follow a timeline so are best read in order.

The first is Christmas themed short. In this story, we are introduced to Sylvia and get the opportunity to experience her first shift as a werewolf with her boyfriend, Josiah.

The second story is how they spend their New Year together. There's bumps along the way, especially with Josiah's family, and they have to figure out the best way to prevent anyone getting hurt.

Then there's a Valentine's short. In this story, Sylvia and Josiah are dealing with the aftermath of the New Year's revelations, and they must fight to prove they should be together.

Lastly, the St. Patrick's Day story. Sylvia and Josiah join Sylvia's parents on their annual couples retreat to Ireland, but not everything goes as planned. Sylvia is determined to prove to her mother that she's an adult to be trusted, but she has her own lessons to learn too.

These are fun little stories. Because each story is separate, you can read one quickly as a little break from other books if desired or just read the whole thing at once. Either way, they're cute and sweet with a little bit of young love thrown in.

All it took was one Christmas unexpected present and her mom undressing to change Sylvia's life. The next thing she knows she's a werewolf, has shared the werewolf STD with her boyfriend Josiah who is now her eternal mate, and is trying to not get herself killed by Josiah's hand-knitted sweater wearing, werewolf hunter mother! Not to mention hiding her new werewolf status from her little demon brothers and the world's worst grandmother.

This Holiday series has some of everything. Panties packs for Christmas, New Years, Valentines, and St Patrick's Day. Manicures to match. Family drama, were-world drama, young love, high school drama, parental understanding and angst, sibling love and torture, and two grandmothers that need to be sent to a senior home far, far away. This is a cute, quick read that will leave you laughing. It's ridiculous, over the top, and pure fun. Josiah is perfect, Silvia can't keep out of trouble, and I can't wait for more. Like Edwin says "Woof, woof". Bring on Easter.

Holiday themed underwear.

Is going to be my new thing. This was a cute book. Sassy slyvia and adorable Josiah find love despite having the weirdest families. This is a very YA - the main characters are 16 and the book is written as such, not like they are 16 going on 26. But being werewolf gives them a bit more maturity as they don’t ONLY need to deal with who is taking them to the valentines dance. Not entirely my speed, but YMMV.

The end of the St. Paddy’s day story is when things got interesting. It seems things may have followed them back from Ireland, not to mention the fact that they still need to deal with the whole werewolf hunter family. The book was written extremely well and loved how the authors voice shined through particularly when it comes to women empowerment and helping the underdog.

But I am so going to get me some holiday themed underwear. It has to be what has been missing from my life.

Read This You Will Love It !!

Josiah was accidentally turned into a werewolf by his girlfriend (Syliva) when she nicked him and herself while kissing just a couple of days after her mother told her on the full moon (christmas) she would becomes a werewolf. But she could start partially changing anytime and didn't tell her exchanging body fluid would bond her and make her mate a werewolf. It was to late when she found out so they went on their first run together. Then they had Christmas, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, and St. Patrick Day together with all kinds of trials. By the way Josiah found out that his mother's family and him and his older sister (also just turned into a werewolf by her boyfriend) were born to be werewolf hunters so she is not happy about them being turned and is trying anything to change them back .This is really a fun story. Well worth reading.

This is a fantastic YA almost NA paranormal read. I love the characters, the detail and descriptions of the changes, the hilarity of the situations, the parents are great with their over the top holiday celebrations/traditions, and the world building is amazingly well done. Although I really didn’t expect anything less than amazing from C.M. whose writing is always incredible. This story did not disappoint, it was filled with teen angst, young passionate love, parental words of wisdom, action and conflicts, magic, shifters, hunters and of course craby and rude grandmothers. After the way the book ended and that sneak peek of book two, I seriously CANNOT wait to read what happens next.

Sylvia and Josiah

4.5 Stars!

Oh! This was a lighthearted and fun set. I loved it. I needed something light and fluffy and this was perfect. YA/ Coming of Age and para so you know it won't be too heavy. It's filled with trials and tribulations for teens and has opposites that attract vibe. Add in an overbearing crazy sweater knitting mom that has a major issue with your girlfriend and kinda might be trying to murder her and well, it leads to some interesting times. Poor Josiah and Sylvia can't seem to stay out of trouble. lol

Cute, light read

This was definitely different from the author’s usual work, but I enjoyed the lighthearted read well enough. MC and her mate are teenagers and act as such, which is kind of refreshing from all the typical books you read featuring teens. It wasn’t my favorite read from this author, as I don’t read a whole lot of young-adulty type books, but I enjoyed it, and would continue with the series.

Ehh

So, let me start by saying what a huge fan I am of CM Stunich. Love her books. Unfortunately, I had to force myself to finish this collection. I think the fact that the individual stories are so short doesn’t leave enough room for character development. The stories seem kind of thin. It’s an interesting premise, though. The introduction of the fae prince did spice things up a little.

This is such a lighthearted fun read. Sylvia’s character made me laugh multiple time especially how she kept referring to turning her boyfriend into a werewolf as an lycanthropy STD. Also the different story plots just kept you guessing what would happen next to Sylv and Josiah. I enjoyed how each part was based on a different holiday as well. Another highly recommended book for CM!

This is definitely different from CM’s usual stories. Much more YA with a young main character. It was still very good though and fun to read. I thought Sylvie was HILARIOUS. I enjoyed the progression of the storyline over the course of the four holidays as well. It made for an interesting read. Looking forward to the next installment.

This book is super cute and really relatable when you're going through being a teenager. An adding this Supernatural element to it. Watching the two teenagers grow as a stronger couple. It was a fun read anyone who any one who likes the Supernatural, I would recommend it. The author did a really great job on being able to tell the story where you can imagine everything that was happening.

I loved this compilation of stories! Sylvia and Josiah are so angsty it’s cute... or annoying. 😂 In either case, you’ll love them! And their stories will leave you with a smile on your face each time.

Not my favorite but still good

I didn't like this as much as some of CM Stunich's other books. Mostly, I'm just not a fan of YA books and the FMC is very young here. But I will say that this is still an excellent story with all the CM trademarks I've come to expect. Sylvia is a flawed character that you can't help but like. Despite the teenage angst I did enjoy this. I'll give it a solid 4.5.

These stories are full of romance, teen-angst, family drama and sweet moments. It is a easygoing read by the super talented author CM Stunich!
