For one thing, the hours are better, and no one ever tells her off for not ironing her shirt. In fact, the lack of ironing might be the single greatest advantage to being an author. Kate loves going off at mad tangents, which you’d surely never have guessed, but also enjoys reading romance and fantasy, watching funny stuff on TV, drinking coffee by the gallon and occasionally leaving the house. The Untied Kingdom is her first novel to be published in the UK.

I received an advance copy of this to review (mainly because I begged the author for it). I enjoyed Not Your Cinderella so much that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, the next book.
Eliza is a 'lesser' royal. She's a princess, but relatively far from the throne. She's tired of being watched all the time and decides to go off and have fun at a party without her security. Unfortunately, she gets grabbed by some kidnappers.
Xavier is a undercover cop. He rescues the English girl, not knowing that she's a royal. They wash up on a desert island together and have to survive until rescue comes. But it's not easy to know whether a boat is friendly or just more trouble.
I loved that it was Eliza who knew what to do in order to survive on the island. Xavier doesn't know who she is until they're safely back at home, but of course, then it's hard for him to get to her. The way everyone kept called Xavi the 'indefeasibly good looking cop' made me laugh.
Jamie and Clodagh from Not Your Cinderella have largeish cameo roles. Jamie is completely amazing.
I liked that the heroine and hero both had their weaknesses, which they healed in each other.
This is a really fun read.

Eliza is a Princess, 14th in line to the throne of England, and about to do something slightly stupid.
Xavier is the man who's going to rescue her.
Until she rescues him right back.

I read this in one sitting and actually tweeted the author at 63% to tell her I possibly hated her because of [spoilers].
This isn't an easy romance, not least because Eliza and Xavier have lots of hurdles to jump in order to be together, but because the book touches on some sensitive subjects (again, spoilers).
I loved Not Your Cinderella (book one) and really enjoyed Not Your Prince Charming, and can't wait for book three.

Enjoyable
The characters felt very real in this book and really enjoyed the difference of characters. I loved that they did not have just smooth sailing. I loved his Abuela and wish she has had a bigger part in the book. It really shows the difficulties of relationships and undercover work.

Funny series
I picked up this series expecting a cosy read. Unexpectedly I found a great story extremely funny and a great series. Each book is based on a fictional British Royal Family so all characters are in each book. Highly recommended great fun

Well written and excellently plotted. Do not let the ridiculous title turn you away, this is an excellent book.
