On Christmas, the first play I ever wrote is being performed. The problem is I can’t keep the stagehands in line and they keep quitting on me. Cole shows up and he is my dream come true. Tall, strong and muscular. He promises to help me finish sets. But he really wants to take my virginity. Cole knows I am a werewolf when I do not. He brings out my inner wolf and makes me crave him. I want to give into him and give him all of me. But can I handle his dominance in the bedroom and in my life? I’ve been in control my whole life. This man makes me feel wild with desire. Can we make our love work or will our fight for supremacy tear us apart forever?
This steamy paranormal werewolf shifter romance is a full length novel with no cheating and a guaranteed happy ever after.
This book was okayish.. i kinda felt bad for our hero more then the gal.. he tried so hard and i do understand her and why she never knew she was a Werewolf.. but geez.. he trying to help you be the alpha and she's just a huge bitch to him..
Low angst, no ow/om drama, no cheating.. decent in length.. steamy sex scenes..
I first have to worn anyone that is sensitive to explicit sexual scenes then this is not the book for you. To me the real story is what these main characters are not only learning about themselves, and slowly about each other. At times it is heart wrenching to read. There is so much in this story of how themes intertwine around and through the story line.
Sometime in the past the young pup were removed from the Werewolf parents. Some mostly the females were put up for adopting. Like Ava; she was adopted by a human couple that knew nothing of her wolf inside her. Ava grew up not even know she was there as well she had been buried so for deep inside of her. Cole like most of the male pups went to military camps so that the were trained in warfare, combat, and hand to hand. What the military didn't understand is that you could not make a Alpha male into a subordinate. They don't take orders they give them. So that idea went a little bust. Now Cole has been and has found his mate. The problem; that would be Ava; she is his mate.
Ava and her best friend opened up a play house in their home town. Ava has written a play about an Alpha wolf and his mate trying to find the Christmas Present Their. Ava is having trouble with keeping her temper in check and so many stag hands have quiet at this point she does not know who or where to find any one to help. This is Cole's chance to get close to Ava. He gets her phone number leaving a message on it. He see's her leave in her car and he shifts into his wolf to track her down.
Later at the put Ava decided that it wasn't the place she want to be. Coming outside she see several drunk farmers harassing a wolf. One had shot him grazing his skin. another was trying to stab him with a pitch fork Ava stepped in to stop the from hurting the wolf any more. She felt such a surge to protect him. Unfortunately the farmers turned on her and it was Cole's turn to rescue her.
This is just the beginning of the relationship. Some of what happens you may need a tissue for. Or I am just being supper hormonal and being a girly, girl crying when some one gets hurt. At the end of it all it just goes that constructive positive communication is needed in all relationships. And think before you open your mouth.
The title indicates a virgin, I thought I would try it to see how the story went. This story mentions her virgin status in what felt like every line. I skipped through what was a man finding a virgin, molesting a virgin whilst she slept and then trying to make this woman who he wanted her to be by what felt like intimidation. The female character felt shallow and poorly thought out as a character. She was portrayed as someone who needed a man to make her a valid woman. This kind of story is archaic and although finding our soulmates is amazing, my husband has not made me a valid woman (I was one before I met him) but given me a partner in life not a master. I understand that some find this appealing but promoting sexual acts whilst one party is not in control or aware is wrong.
First off, all the wolf references. Now I'll give one or two passes, but most of the time it goes into oberkill. It happens a lot in wolf/shifter stories, and each time it gets worse for me. Everything being wolf themed, wolf named, or referenced to being like a wolf in some way. It's something that just doesn't work for me.
Also, I didn't like the characters. I found Ava to be kind of annoying and dislikable. She came off as having a holier-than-thou attitude with the running monologue of how no one meets her expectations or does anything right or is reliable.
Surprisingly I didn't like Cole either. He handled everything kind of poorly, and after he blew up and left after things didn't turn out exactly how he thought, it was a mess of back and forth and just...no.
I am sorry to say I didn't really care for this book. Cole's stated purpose was to claim Ava as his mate but I wasn't clear on if this was one of those fated mates situations common in this genre or if he just took a shine to her and decided she was the one. We were treated to every calculating, stalkerish, lust driven thought in Cole's head, and the style in which those thoughts were expressed was off-putting. His behavior followed suit. I didn't particularly care for Ava either. She seemed moody and difficult and couldn't make up her mind. Her play was weird too. The plot left a lot to be desired. I much preferred the previous book I read by this author called The Seeding Spell.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
All shifter cubs born for over nearly thirty years has been sent to humans for adoption, for their safety, being raised human kept them from being killed. Now those who grew up in the pack are searching for their mates raised human. They don't know what they are, so their mate must slowly imprint on them and turn the power back on for them to find their inner wolf. Ava is a 26 year old virgin with quite the alpha temper, demanding people to do everything her way. Her best friend tells her she needs to have sex, not realizing the sexy stranger who helps her after she protects the life of a wolf, is the wolf and her alpha mate. Will it all go smoothly so she will be mated for Christmas, or will some disaster at the theater ruin her one shot at happiness?

This is the third book of the "Alpha's Virgin" series by Casey Morgan. Cole knows Ava is his mate and tries to wait for the right time to tell her. Ava was adopted so she has no idea she's part shifter. Casey Morgan definitely has her own unique style of telling a story which makes it different from what I've previously read. However, the storyline flowed with the twists and turns of the plot and her characters were fully developed with personality traits easy to relate to. It was an enjoyable read.
Ava is having problems with stage staff and actors while trying to write the acts, losing her temper more and more. While taking a break she saves a wolf from some drunks only to become their focus. Cole has been looking for his mate for so long he was being to feel he never would but his mate comes to his rescue when some drunks attack him. I found this story a bit to pushy on the part of the Alpha which even though dominant is soft were his woman is concerned.
Alpha's Christmas Virgin by Casey Morgan This a is a story of Ava who doesn't really know who she is and Cole who knows what he wants and he is determined to get it. I loved this story. It's about two shifters learning how to be together as a couple. I thought it was a very romantic story. With is book being an ARC there are some mistakes in the book that will be corrected before print. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.
To me this story was not about romance but more about a male using intimidation and coercion to get what he wanted. Then when he doesn't he throws a tantrum. I really wanted to grab him, shake him real good and yell at him to snap out of it. Needless to say, even after his epiphany, I never warmed up to him.
For those who like reading shifter books, I would highly recommend this one. The Alpha who searches for his mate. And the mate who must learn that she is a Werewolf, something that has been hidden from her all her life. This is their story and how they over come obstacles that come their way to being together. I would recommend this read to all.
Ava and Cole meet in a rather unconventional way: he is pretty much stalking her. Fortunately for her, it's not in a sinister way. They have their ups and downs, just like any couple, but it's all very fast, a bit of a high speed roller coaster ride. I enjoyed reading their story. I received an advanced reader copy and am leaving my honest opinion.
The book didn't even have much dialogue. The characters kept up with their soliloquies, and it was just too long, longer than the actual dialogue itself. I found myself skipping all those parts and just got tired of it. I also found the female lead character annoying, one minute she wants it, and then after she gets it, she goes back to being nasty.
I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't like another shifter book that I remember reading!! I loved the idea of self discovery and awareness that is reflected in the pages of this book for both of the main characters. I'd read another book from this author for sure!!!
The story opens with Cole in wolf form watching Ava . His inner dialogue is creepy. By the 4th chapter I couldn't continue for the story comes across as painfully stupid. This by far is the worst shifter story which is sad because the other reviews gave such high ratings. :(
Ava Winterborne is writing and producing a Christmas play about a pair of Werewolves in love. Cole Grayson werewolf shifter has followed Ava scent and know Ava is a werewolf just so happens has not had her first shift and on top of that a virgin, his fated mate!
This book was wonderful to read. Two people finding out what are they to each even though one doesn’t understand she a werewolf. She direct the play with emotion and feeling that bring you in the story. Wow would be great word. You have to read it to understand.
First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review.
This is a gr8 story. It was a quick read which I truly needed, and Casey knows just how to do that. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs Up.
This book was really a very good read. The storyline was awesome; the characters are were fairly well developed; plot twists and turns were handled well; and the HEA was totally kickass. You really should take a look at this one. ❤️
Quick Christmas Novella These two definitely need to work on their communication skills. At the start he’s kind of a creeper and she’s clueless. As the story progresses you learn to like them both and wish for the best for them. I read this in the Alpha’s Virgin Collection.
Pretty good. Confused by some aspects in the details, but good writing. Imaginative and interesting, give this series a whirl. Personally this story reached a little far for me, but to each his own. Enjoy!
This installment in the series was somewhat better than the pre Iowa ones. I didn't like Cole at all at first as he seemed too oblivious to Ava's actual needs and all she had worked for, then he finally realized his mistake and it finished strong.
This novel had a lot of up and down moments for me. One moment, I was completely sure I wouldn't keep reading it, the next I couldn't seem to put it down because I wanted to know what happened. In the end, I'm glad I stuck with it and finished it out.
