I won this book on Goodreads for an honest review. An interesting murder mystery this one kept me guessing. The characters are pretty well established as this is the third book in the series. However, with that said it was easy to pick up where the other books left off (as far as some of the characters go) as the author does keep on point with this mystery and that gives the book a sense of being able to read as a stand alone. This was a well written mystery that kept me turning the pages. Even though I usually do not care for politics and their like I do recommend this story to anyone that likes a good who done it!
Finally figured out the real reason I love these books
Well, no secret, it's the writing. It is so good it quietly stays out of the way of the story. Love these books. Stories are believably compelling. Characters I like. Recommend to anyone else who is a sucker for smart (mouth) dialogue and good storytelling.
I enjoyed this series very much, reading one book after another. Then the epilogue ruined the impression of Ray and Tommy Jacks. It was just pitiful and served no purpose.
