Straightforward introduction to RBV. "Do we have the resources to assimilate this new diversification?"
Transferability - can we transfer resources to a new context?
"Entry barriers are really resource barriers." It's hard to enter highly profitable industries.
Sharp and Newell are held up as mentors.
Value creation must be justified by related and transferable benefits.
The short history of strategy is excellent too.
Interesting piece.
