Trough and Syx are finally getting the HEA they fought so hard for. I enjoyed this update and can’t wait to see what the final book has for me.

6 weeks to a surprise
3.5 stars
Syx and Trough are now engaged and their relationship is progressing well. Out of nowhere an unexpected situation throws Syx for a loop. She is shook and she doesn't know how Trough is going to handle this.....surprise. This update was sweet as Trough reassures Syx of his love for her and the place she has in his life. Trough still isn't my fave, but he handled this situation gracefully.
I'm still side eyeing the grammar, but I appreciate the update.

I'm totally here for how Syx and Trough's relationship blossomed and reached new heights. They're amazing together, for real. Fingers crossed we get more of their story in the next installment. This book was a whole vibe—a super cute read!

Series 4.5⭐️ and 2.5🌶️ - “Syx and the City” 6 novellas and 1 book
It’s Christmas and you’re headed to NYC to visit your sister, however, you catch your boss in a compromising position with a man who is not her husband. And by New Years, you might know what her husband is like in bed. 🫣😬
Syx is a travel assistant for Amiyah Mallard, world-renowned vocalist. However, she’s also an artist who not only paints, but designs and makes her own clothes, specifically formalwear.
Trough Mallard, Amiyah’s famous record producer husband, wanted us to believe he was grumpy, and he was, but only because he couldn’t have who/what he wanted. Syx. How would that look? Scandalous. A chance to fly her to NYC on his private jet during bad weather turned into a whirlwind for these two.
Syx is definitely one of my favorite FMCs from Grey. The guilt she felt in certain situations was real. The feeling of being abandoned by the one you care about and love, felt genuine. But Trough was a married man and I appreciated that they were mature enough to know what they wanted from each other, just couldn’t be. Syx didn’t let that stop her from pursuing her dreams and Trough didn’t let it stop him from saying her name in the right rooms to help her dreams, even if he couldn’t have her heart. 🤎
I also loved that we were here to witness the love story between Syx’s sister Sevyn and her love Ace. I definitely cried. 🥺 The relationship between the sisters was comforting and needed with such an emotional story.
I was introduced to Grey’s work through her novellas a few years ago and I highly recommend them because she knows how to tell a complete, heart grabbing story in a short amount of time. This series is one I’ll definitely put on my shelf. 🤎

Extremely Short & Quick Read
If these authors don't stop with these novellas!!!😁😁😁 Now that that's outta the way, Grey Huffington is a treasure. Her style of writing, her descriptive phrasing, is so different, but once you crack the code, you'll love it for its uniqueness. Couple that with A plus storytelling and it's easy to discern why I consider her one of my favorite authors out there.

Two years later Syx and Trough are going strong. They have moved in together, he proposed and her business is booming. When Syx realizes she is pregnant, she is scared to tell Trough. Once Trough finds out, she was not expecting him to be happy about it. I love this couple and am so glad they have added to their family!!!

I was nervous for Syx baby!!!! Not that I thought she stepped out but for Trough’s reaction. I loved how he affirmed her and made her at peace with the revelation. This novella is so realistic, so needed. Men have no idea how much their reaction to news like that can make, or break the situation in itself. To have a supportive partner is everything during a time like that. I love how this love story is panning out. Being that in tuned with your partner to know when your neglecting them or they’re not being themselves. The turmoil that our minds put us through when we’re unsure of an outcome. Great read can’t wait to finish part five of the series.

Truly enjoyed all 4 Series
This was my first time reading any books by Grey's but I must say I truly enjoyed the storyline. Syx and Trough, Sevyn and Ace was amazing together. The only thing I could pass on was the storyline bit. It was like as soon as you gotten into the story it just STOP! Uhh
However I would definitely recommend this author and keep a look out on more books by Grey Huffington

Cute
Nice little short update on trough and syx . I'm glad he was happy and not sad about the baby . She needed thought he would think she was cheating because he was not supposed to have kids due to a vasectomy,but their was always that one percent chance and it worked for them. Great short update on them.

This update was needed and greatly appreciated
I love the dynamic between Trough and Syx!! The love and passion between them is so spicy. I love how they got into their own daily routine yet still can't get enough of each other two years in!! Even though it was a novellete, it satisfied my need to have an update on one of my favorite book couples!!

I'm so in love with Trough && Syx and I know we're going to get another book about their baby/baby shower on the way. And it was cool to see who Harlem had hired to make the tu-tus and shoes for Sleigh because I remember them being custom made. I'm glad that both couples, Trough && Syx and Ace && Sevyn are still going strong in love.

What a great blessing to be blessed with around your anniversary time as well as starting a new year. I'm glad Trough handle the situation the way a true man should. Syx Whole Weeks” is actually a novelette. …necessary, well that’s subjective⁉️ Thereafter, reoccurring characters and or updates are typically exciting. However, when excessive repetitions, grammatical & typographical errors are disproportionate to the number of chapters, its just exasperating and annoying. Ms Huffington, please consider your brand by investing is proof readers & editing team. These errors are a direct reflection of the GH brand and whether you retaining or dissuading readership.

This was such a cute read! Syx and Trough have been through so much and Syx had a reason to be worried! This was supposedly not possible but life has a way of changing things! If anyone can get through this its these two. Big changes are coming! I'm loving this series! Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is that series for me. I’ve enjoyed Syx’s adventure and all the amazing characters “casted” as well. Sevyn, Trough and Ace. I felt like I was a friend witnessing it all. So beautiful. So real. So full of love. So Grey Huffington.

Grey has brought back the couple. Syx is not confident woman at all but very timid. Trough is very manly and Syx is not use to that type of man. Something happens in the book and I was shocked.. Cute read

Now This Was Cute
Trough finally didn’t get on my nerves. The first 3 books in the series had me ready to give up on this novel. I felt like he was playing with Syx and she was letting him. He definitely made up for it in this story. Now that’s a happy ending.
