For ninety-nine years, Halie has sought her destined mate on land, in order to fulfill an ancient prophecy and save her people's future. With each failure, she returns to her parents' kingdom under the sea, to find comfort with her best friend and lover, Delphinos.
Delphinos would do anything to ensure Halie's happiness, but he knows she belongs with him. Watching her lose herself time and again, while she searches for her future, is more than he can bear.
When the sea witch tells her she'll find The One on her next trip ashore, Halie is forced to choose between the good of her people and the love of her life. And Delphinos has no intention of making her choice any easier.
Sotia cries at sappy movies and wishes she could take in all the stray dogs in the world. She lives in Athens, Greece, with her husband--whom she met through writing--their son, and their two rescue dogs, one of which might be part-pony.
Her genres of choice are romances with a twist and urban fantasy novels, always with vivid erotic elements. Her characters aren't exactly hero-material at first glance; she likes making them fight for their happiness. Still, the romantic in her can’t resist happy endings.
This book surprised me. I was so well connected with the characters and the book; I didn't want to put it down. It was well written and certainly full of "sparkles." The reader is transported into an alternate reality. The author has created a fascinating and unique world that I'd love to read more of. I thrive on originality, and what I found in the pages of this book was a wonderful adventure of love, sexiness, and fantasy.

THIS was what I needed. Sweet and fun, there were definitely deeper elements and some struggle with a long term relationship that was more than either wanted to admit, but overall it was a fun little romance with steam, mermaids, shifters, and interfering gods. This prequel was much lighter than A Nereid for the Titan that follows, but gave me a few insights that were helpful. Again, I am curious about Eros!
First book I've read from this author it is a good twist of Greek mythology and romance and makes a good start for the series looking forward to seeing more of sotia lazu
Constant changes and action make this drama riveting. Old school Greek Gods mixed with modern day actions cause Halie and Delphinos story to blossom and introduce this series. A little mermaid feel that comforts the drama unfolding.
This was a great prequel to what could be a fun, intriguing series. A short read with a quick pace that packed a punch. The characters and plot flowed making it easy for the read for follow along and immerse themselves in the fantasy.
Under is a prequel to the Titans Series. A magical adventure into the world of sea nymphs. Mermaids, shifters and Greek gods. Hallie is a mermaid that must find her mate in order to help her world reproduce according to the sea witch. After many human suitors she realizes Delphinos, her dolphin lover, is whom she wishes to be with. A war is brewing with the Titans. They are seekng revenge. Under is a delicious tease of what is about to come in the Titans Series! Can't wait for next installment!
Under is an prequel to the Titans series, written by Sotia Lazu. This got me started in reading the series and I actually like it. I didn't know what to expect and at times it is maybe a tad too sexual but I take it. The series is a mix of bringing the titans back and matching them with their mates. In this particular prequel we learn that maybe overthinking the prophecy is not the way to go.
This is a prequel and more of a short story but it did what it was designed to do, got me interested in the series and I ended up reading all the other books in the end. This one had a bit of a Sisyphus kind of vibe to it which was interesting and the Titans are only a rumor as of yet, but soon the action will begin and this was a good way to get started.
The book was a quick read, but fantastic. The storyline sets up future books, which I can't wait to read about. The sea-witch seems to play an important role in the series and the author does a fantastic job with her portrayal. I can't wait to read the next book, when it comes out.
This is short story but an introduction into Lazu's TITANS series. I felt it was a perfect way to start the series. I have a feeling Hallie's sister who loves a Titan and lost him is book one of the series. This story is about looking for love but realizing it's been in front of you the entire time. Hallie was given her proforcery from a witch. She would find her true love on a beach. Hallie has been looking for her fated one for 99 years, but she will so find out the heart wants what the heart wants. Good story with strong characters. I have always been a fan of Greek Mythology. I have searched for authors who have decided to write Romance novels using Greek Gods as their alpha heroes. I was so excited to find Lazu and her TITANS. I am excited to read this series. Happy Reading!!
3 & 1/2 stars rounded up. This was a decent intro for the series. It held my attention, and seeing as it was a Novella, I was finished quickly. It was a bit predictable, but I think the point was an intro for the series more than unpredictable. Halie & Delphinos were ok characters, I felt they would have been fleshed out better if it hadn't been a Novella, or maybe they get more in the other books in the series. It did interest me enough to want to read book 1 in the series to see if it had the same sort of flow to it.
An interesting start to a series, fated mates and riddled prophecies, titans and potential wars. I might dive into the rest of the books, the authors writing flows nicely.
Halie is destined to find love, even though her heart already belongs to one man, Delphinos. But the prophecy says her destined mate will love her on dry land...and he is a daimon and they both live under water.
This is the prequel to the Titan trilogy and, while short, does add to the narrative of the series. The love between Halie and Delphinos is sweet and truly romantic and it makes you want to throttle them all the more for not making it happen sooner.
An interesting read, one that i have never thought of reading before, but it was okay. Its a different version of the "Little Mermaid" a strange tale indeed.
I picked this up at a free ebook event because mermaids and the synopsis sounded like The Little Mermaid but with a modern twist.
Halie is the princess of Vythos and needs to find a human mate to save her kingdom, or at least that's what the sea witch's prophecy says but for decades, she can't seem to find her one true love. She also has a friends with benefits relationship with Delphinos, a sea daimon . They both want more but assume the other doesn't. Argh.
I liked the world building and this seemed promising but it felt draggy for a novella and the two characters annoyed me.
Tropes: Friends to lovers, forbidden romance, unrequited love
Hailey, a mermaid has been chosen to save her people from a terrible faith. The sea witch revealed in a prophecy that she needs to find a man on land that will love her. The only problem is she is already in love with someone else.
Hailey needs to decide between saving her people and love.
This is interesting, quick read. This is unfortunately just a prequel to the Titans series, and I can't wait to start reading the whole series.
