A heartwarming tale of a down-and-out Santa Claus and his decapitated reindeer.
'Dasher' is part of the 'Sticky Fingers 2' short story collection: diverse, dark-humored, and deliciously bite-sized. Fans of Roald Dahl and Gillian Flynn will love these unsettling stories with a twist in the tale.
My thirteenth read from author JT Lawrence. A holiday short continuing to explore the varied & diverse, dark-humored sides of author JT Lawrence. I’ll be reading more from this author! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Although this is a short story it has drama, antagonists, kindness, good and bad kids, and the Christmas spirit as mall Santa, Nicholas deals with hardships while he tries to get his own Christmas wish. For a heart warming Christmas story you can't go wrong with this one. :)
I recently discovered JT Lawrence's short stories when I read Sticky Fingers. I have a love hate relationship with every single one of them, because they're utterly additive but leave me deeply disturbed. Dasher isn't my favourite, but it's still fabulous.
Cute Christmas short story. I would have liked it to be longer actually. Maybe a squeal? As always, J.T. Lawrence supplies us with a story that makes you think.
Who knew what went on in the department store grotto's. This is a story with a grumpy Santa, he has always been the Santa in this department store and he loves the old sleigh that he gets the children to sit on with him. One child on particular is very nice so he gives him some extra sweets but this does not go unnoticed and the next ones wants the same. This second child however goes into a full blown tantrum and causes lots of problems for Santa. I really enjoyed the story even though I am a bit wary of short stories but this one has a beginning, middle and ended off nicely.
I really enjoyed this short story. im a massive short story fan and this didnt dissapoint. A super duper festive read and my first book ive read of 2019. Thank you Janita!!!!
I don’t read a lot of short stories because I always want more. This is actually my second one, however I really did enjoy this one. I love a good Christmas story and one with a twist. Great overall.
