Good source for beginners to learn about medicinal uses of plants and herbs, as well as how to distill your own teas, tinctures, essential oils, etc. I would have liked to have seen more focus on certain, more common plants (such as Oregano), instead of a tiny snippet. But, overall, it makes a good reference book.

Cuốn sách rất hay và giá trị, nhưng sẽ hoàn hảo hơn nếu như NXB Tổng Hợp TMHCM không lược bỏ phần Index so với nguyên bản. Cuốn sách này có lẽ cũng được dùng làm tài liệu tra cứu đối với nhiều người, trong đó có mình, và khi không có Index thì không còn cách nào khác là phải làm sticker&labelling, kèm theo đánh máy và in cái index tự tạo rồi kẹp vào sách. Việc này thực sự là tốn khá khá công sức, mà lại không thể làm indexing cho tất cả mấy trăm vị được. Mình rất hy vọng phần Index sẽ được đưa vào trong những lần tái bản sau, và mình xin hứa sẽ mua bản có Index, mặc dù mình đã có 1 cuốn (chưa Index) rồi.

Absolutely brilliant if you're interested in herbology, gardening, cooking or anything to do with plants!

Not only is it highly informative of their uses, but it also provides plenty of other information: clear depictions, cultural, historical and spiritual links, references to how the plants are to be harvested, the folklore behind them, how to turn it into a usable product and the dosage.
(For e.g. tinctures, ointments, essential oil, tea leaves, salad, creams and more!)

I have checked out dozens of herbal medicine books over the years and this is one of the rare few I actually bought and own. It includes sections on herb cultivation and preservation, and how to make various remedies, including oils and salves. Spectacular resource.

Enjoyable. Reminds me when my grandmother use to give me old Dutch remedies when I was like under 7 years old.
Though the book I ordered via Amazon.co.uk used books. And it did not have a nice smell.
